*BUMP* for the party's sake.

I was thinking of running a nWoD game and wanted to see how much interest I could rustle up.

I'm not sure about a lot of stuff in the campaign yet, so it may be awhile before it gets off the ground.

Some definite points are:
- Mortals to start, maybe go supernatural later
- PC's background, history and family very in depth.
- Skills in weaponry need to be defined in background.
- Most likely based in a city I know, i.e. Dallas, Austin or maybe somewhere in California.

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Thanks in advance for the interest.

I wanted to see if anyone had success running the above referenced game on here. I have been itching to use my books and can never get a game together.

Do any of you think it would draw enough interest?

Thanks for your thoughts.

You are in Absalom, the mighty City at the Center of the World, and you’ve always longed to explore one of the countless ruins of failed conquerors that litter the plains outside the city’s walls. You’ve heard rumors that one of the sealed siege castles has been laid open by a minor earthquake. Word on the street is that no one has yet entered the tower, which folks are calling the “Fallen Fortress.” What better way to start a life of excitement and adventure than by exploring its long-abandoned, dusty halls and perhaps claiming its ancient treasures?

You all have known each other for at least a fortnight , some maybe more. The collector, Maravel Al'rishi has put you up in the Rusty Shiv inn until you leave in the morning for the tower. This night is rich with celebration because it is First Brewing, the holiday celebrating the first drinks made from the recent harvests.

Valletin

Spoiler:
You have been asked through Father Densin, the head of your church in Absalom, to join a group of adventurers traveling to the "Fallen Fortress ". Maravel Al'rishi, a well known collector from the Petal district, has offered 250gp for your participation in the exploration and return of any relics recovered at the aforementioned site. Father Densin actually cares little for what Maravel asks. He is using the moneys offered to allow the church to search for religious artifacts and make sure the city is safe from anything that may have been inside the tower.

Harold

Spoiler:
Finally finding an 'adventure' for his wayward son, your father passed down his greatsword to you and told you to take care. Maybe he is disillusioned to actually think you were coming back, but who knows. The Captain of the Eagle Guard got in contact with a wealthy man in the Petal District who needed a few worthy adventurers to explore a long sealed siege tower. Talk about a perfect opportunity to 'get it out of your system'. You have been offered 250gp for the return of any relics found.

Murro

Spoiler:
Living on your own among the citizens of Absalom you met some pretty shady figures. Maravel Al'rishi is one of those figures, always looking for a way to hurt the other noble families to gain power. You have been working for him a few years now and haven't actually witnessed any of the atrocities he is so well known for. Maravel is sponsoring an expedition to the recently opened siege tower in the Cairnlands and wants you to be his eyes and ears in the group. You also will be accompanied by another, a fairly well known to you associate named Gandel.

Korganna

Spoiler:
Not much to say here. You earned your reputation cracking skulls. Now your services are needed in an expedition to a recently opened siege tower in the Cairnlands. Maravel Al'rishi contacted you in person and offered you 250gp to make sure any relics make it back to him in one piece.

Please introduce yourselves and RP until your ready for bed and the beginning of your adventure in the morning.

Male The rules don't contain a specific for a mix of all races..... Drafter 20/Father 8

Ok everyone, please post here as soon as possible and we can work on character building and backgrounds.

Creation Guidlines:
Core Rulebook and APG only
20 pt buy, no ability under 8
2 traits
Average Starting Gold for Class

Background:
An unnamed siege castle has stood in the Cairnlands for hundreds if not thousands of years, magically sealed after the death of its forgotten master. But recently, a minor earthquake rocked the land, accomplishing in moments what dozens of scholars, sages, and adventurers could not achieve in years—the quake caused part of the siege castle to collapse, opening its interior for the first time in centuries. The locals now call this tower the Fallen Fortress.

Would like to have the PC's know each other in some way already. The module gives a few ideas you can draw off of.

1. Some of you could be members of Absalom’s Eagle Garrison, scouting for possible threats to the city in the Cairnlands. Their commanding officer sends them to the Fallen Fortress to ensure that whatever is there is no threat to Absalom.

2. A local church could ask the PC's to explore the ruined siege castle, perhaps to investigate rumors of undead within the tower or to recover a religious relic thought to be inside. The church offers 1,000 gp for the return of the relic.

3. A historian or wealthy collector hires the PCs to collect
any historical or valuable artifacts that might still be
within the ruined tower. The collector offers up to 250
gp per character for their trouble.

Looking to start this module soon for 4-5 players. Started running Council of Thieves recently and enjoy it so much I wanted to run another PbP. Probably cut off submissions this weekend depending on interest.

The sun rises on a warm spring day in the fallen capital of Westcrown, once the center of Chelaxian civilization, its golden façade now crumbling under lethargy and disrepair. Who dares stand against the Thrice Damned House of Thrune? Shadowbeasts stalk the streets at night preying on those seeking redemption for this once great empire. Will the light break through the darkness of these diabolic times? A revolution is brewing.

Semenya and Del

Spoiler:
The two of you have been working together quite a bit more as of late. The inquiries pour in about people missing or cargo not arriving at its destination. At least your last job wasn't a total waste. A wife and mother, Lorna, had charged you both with finding Ferguson, her husband. Long story short, he ran away to join Olek Keegan's theater to fulfill his dream of acting, but his wife wouldn't of allowed it, so he ran away. You both agreed to have breakfast together this morning to go over some notes for a couple cases. As you compare notes a rough looking man walks by your table and stops putting his hands on the tabletop. "Hope your meals are satisfactory." Giving each other a puzzled look, you notice as he walks away that he left a small piece of folded paper where his hand had been. The message reads:

You are not alone in your concerns for the people of Westcrown. Meet me at Vizio's Tavern in Rego Scripa this afternoon for dinner.

Janiven

Arodio

Spoiler:
Your days lately have been extremely boring. You think with the disappearance of so many people recently that your services would become necessity. It didn't take long for you to realize that the people were being forced to let things slide. People disappear without a trace and no one asks questions. As you sit against the wall in the market a young peasant girl runs up to you "I have a message for you." She then runs off into the maze of carts and baskets. The message reads:

You are not alone in your concerns for the people of Westcrown. Meet me at Vizio's Tavern in Rego Scripa this afternoon for dinner.

Janiven

Eklektos

Spoiler:
Since receiving the tarnished wayfinder you could not get the abandoned building out of your mind. Every time you pass by, questions race through your mind. What happened here? Where did they go? Are they all dead? As you walk the road with Theron, a small child runs up to you from a rundown building. As you peer down at the child, you realize it is the same one that gave you the package. He hands you a note and runs back into the building before you can speak. The message reads:

I would like you to meet a friend by the name of Janiven. Dinner this afternoon at Vizio's Tavern in Rego Scripa.

E.K.

Derek

Spoiler:
Apart from last night being the final showing of 'Sir Lawrence and the goat' and having an absolutely smashing after party, you don't feel much different than usual today. As you make your way around the temple/tavern following your normal routine, you notice an attractive woman admiring one of the many tankard bearing statues of the Drunken Hero. As you approach, she turns to you with a smile. "I enjoyed the show last night. My name is Janiven and I must ask you to join me and a few friends for dinner this afternoon at Vizio's tavern. It is located in Rego Scripa. It appears we have some common concerns. See you then." At that, she turns and walks out of the temple quickly never looking back.

If you have anything you would like to do during the day, let me know.
