When using a weapon that hits multiple targets is the expertise die added to the damage of each target hit?

I made and played a character to level 2 during Year of the Sky Key. I haven't been able to play for awhile. Is that character still valid to play in the current season?

If you are a Shaman with the Spirit's Gift feat (Adv. Class guide pg. 157). Does this allow you to add another spirit animal ability to your existing spirit animal?

Are Shamans able to take the improved familiar feat since their spirit animal is treated as and chosen from the list of Wizard familiars?
