It's nice enough. Getting rid of the silly oversized gauntlet on the left arm really makes it appeal to me more than the original did. I'm not a fan of the arrows/frostbitew here midsection, but it does look a bit less like a male gaze thing here, if only because Amiri looks younger and to be more of a runner's build than a stereotypical amazon.

I do question the ne need to put little leather crosses or exes on the blue fabric, and the lack of any sort of pouch or rucksack. I always like it when characters are depicted as actually having space on their person to carry all of their listed gear.

I'm in a group just starting to go through All For Immortality tonight, and once we wrap that up doing this should push us all to 15.2, perfect for letting (any of) us (who want to) make our way up to 20th.

Nice send off to standard PFS play.

The shifter archetype reads like whoever wrote it hadn't actually done more than briefly glance at the shifter. It goes out of it's way to specify a difference between using wild shape and using major aspect, when those are the same thing.

What makes you think a bard will need to spend actions to maintain his bardic performance?

Because they've taken out free actions?

Otherwise it would have to be "not an action". . .

Yes, and?

I wouldn't keep applying previewed 2nd Edition rules to 1st Edition classes, because I can grantee you they're not gonna work the same.

Then why did they preview the rules?

Seriously, what's the point of a preview if it doesn't make us think about it will change different things?

I get that we can't have all the answers yet, but if we can't do speculative analysis then the blog post shouldn't have comments enabled.

Paizo gives previews to try and get us excited for things, the same reason companies but out trailers for movies and video games. There isn't anything wrong with speculation, it just seems like a lot of speculation is assuming the worst of Paizo. ...it's quite odd to be playing defense for Paizo for once, but I think that a lot of people are assuming people that Paizo are going to be really really excessively dumb about how this.

Why would they try and squish the PF1 classes into the PF2 action system in such a way as to make the classes not fun to play? Paizo knows that (most) players wouldn't play bards in PF1 if you had to spend moves or standards to maintain bardic music. So, why would Paizo not either improve bardic music such that it's worth spending actions on constantly, or find a way to make it not take up constant actions?

Anyone got a link to the thread Mark Seifter mentioned that summarizes the information from the Glass Cannon podcast?

Do you mean this one?

Yes, thank you.

For others interested, the thread David Knott linked to links to a google doc which suggest instead going to this post which is a post in the Pathfinder reddit page for the podcast, with a more full breakdown.

Didn't really seem to be much for spells other than Monstrous Physique. A few new animals that might be okay (dinos and megafauna mostly), but the magical beasts aren't as good as already released creatures.viabel for use with the spell.

Deathsnatcher in B6 looks to be the new go-to for monstrous physique I and II. 6 attacks, big damage dice, flight and pounce (for MPII) are clear winners. Other than lack of dark vision, is there anything I'm missing?

Well, it's poison is supernatural, so some more anal GM's might say you don't get it.

In the same book, while lacking any other abilites that MP would give you, the Eurayle (serpentine bottom medusa) is really good for a melee focused character with a nice weapon, as it provides 6 natural attacks to use with your weapon (if only poison came online earlier).

RAW you can use MPII to turn into Yig, a Large sized monstrous humanoid Great Old One. The natural attacks are ridiculously good; a 6d10 bite with poison (extraordinary, 1d6 con drain and nauseated), 2 4d8 claws with rend, a 4d10 tail slap with grab and 20 ft reach, and constrict.
It would take some work to convince a GM to let you actually turn into a Great Old One, but if you can justify it IC, or, I don't know play a metamorph alchemist and get permission out of pity, then it's the best Large form in terms of sheer killing power.

Well, this is pretty interesting. While reading it, I kept having to remind myself that Torch looks like this and that his burns are actually real life burns (not exactly pretty, and pretty visually distinct from a normal human's body shape), as opposed to the image that kept popping up in my head as I was reading of some sort of anime mob boss with that red patch that the tend to use for scars/burns.
It's pretty well written, as a vague continuity of romantic drabbles goes. Bittersweet ending there as well.

Corruption takes place in Season 5 Scenario 12: Destiny of the Sands Part One.
In Exhaustion, Orion had just finished the Season 6 Scenario ?? something of the something something part two something Quarry (the one with the frog guys and the Aspis Consortium goons embracing their true calling as Indian Jones villains).
I will now spend an excessive amount of time trying to figure out which scenario has gossip about Ambris and the Paracountess.
I had never heard of bowling for Soup before today, so I cannot immediately answer this question.
I don't own every scenario, and even checking through all the ones I do own sounds rather excessive to find a single character. I'll answer with a firm maybe here.
Substitute shows the start of a rather strange iteration of Season 7 Scenario 5: School of Spirits, the sequel to Season 0 Scenario 6: Black Waters, is a pretty fun scenario, but I think if I had had Grandmaster torch and a hungover Orion in the party when I did it, I would be to busy laughing to actually do the scenario. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have to do anything, as Torch is clearly cheating, he's far overlevelled for a 1-5.
Hair is probably Season 1 Scenario 13: Devil We Know Part 2 Cassomir's Locker. First scenariothat comes to mind when I think of Derro, slaves, and sewers. My memory is hazy as that of a goldfish with a drug problem, but I think one of my characters might have done that one with Orion.
I'm not as certain as I'm for the other ones, as I have yet to play it myself, but I think that scenario that takes place before the Useless snippet is (probly) Portal of the Sacred Rune.

Who's the crazy one, the person who writes fanfiction of an Undine alchemist's romance with Grandmaster Torch, or the person who reads that fanfic, and then spends a half hour figuring out the answers a trivia questions based off it?

Hmm. How does the Scaled Fist look at 1st level? Do they switch out Stunning Fist for anything? Do they get different bonus feats?
They keep Stunning fist, which is good because they add the Dragon Style feats to their bonus feats. They also add Dazzling Display and some feats that follow DD. They also get a mediocre breath weapon eventually.

At 1st level all they gain is going off of CHA instead of Wisdom.

They do not switch out Stunning Fist.

They do gain different style feats.

Thanksss.

In keeping with my tendency to want to play characters based on units in Total War games, I'm interested in a character using a falx. The falx's cousin, the rhomphaia, already exists in Pathfinder thanks to Ultimate Combat, and it's statted like this. Going off this, would it be fair to say that the shorter and crittier scythe is what I'm looking for? It's my first instincts, but scythes in Pathfinder that we've seen so far tend to look more...well...like the reaping implements we normally think of when we hear the word, with the blade at a right angle to the haft and handles to more easily facilitate a sideways swing suited for cutting stalks or grass.

The only reason scythes keep their farming implement look in most fantasy games, Pathfidner among them, is because people think it looks cool, and it flows with "reaper imagery". In real life, when scythes were used in battle, every instance I have seen had the blades adjusted to be perpendicular to the haft, as a cheap sort of "do it yourself polearm".

So yes, I would say scythe stats would work fine. In my mind, anyone using a scythe in combat who isn't explicitly the worshipper of a death god with some kind of fancy magic weapon, is going to be using a proper combat adjusted scythe.

Almost all of my time playing Pathfinder has been PFS, and whilst I dislike some of the rules, overall I think most of them are necessary for a mostly fair, overall enjoyable experience. However, I do think that a good number of the PFS rules would be pointless in a home game.

Ooh, a new leshy! I suppose there's chance of the leshy warden somehow getting access to it?
