Corum notes the words.
"THis puzzle, anyone getting it?"
per: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
Corum points out some people huddling from the cold.
He moves up to them.
"Are you OK???"
"Let us send someone ahead stealthy."
Corum gestures, and Sunny turns invisible.
Cast invisibility on Sunny
Corum thanks her:
"Thanks for the aid. I can make us prepared for the cold."
Corum attemps to procure the following scrolls.
2x resist energy communal
2x endure elements communal
Corum reluctantly adds:
"Maybe magic isn't always the answer??"
Corum has a scroll made of a spell that locates objects.
Given they are looking for a group that has rare artifacts, Corum explains: "We need to find out what sort of objects this group has, and I will use magic to find them."
"We may be able to use magic!!"
Corum shows up impeccably groomed, and samples the plate daintily.
He nods in approval.
"We need to get any equipment we need here. This city should have everything!!"
Corum holds back some tears, as Oppara reminds him of the elvish race. Its influence waning over the years, as the long life spans of elves seem to be catching up with them.
"We can see a show too I bet and get a decent wine here."
"A cleric of moderate power could heal her. Until then, she will be like this. We leave her bound until we find one."
Corum quickly checks out the library, intent on finding knowledge. He searched his inventory for valuable things to barter for books. The wand that does nonlethal damage comes to mind.
"We may need a priest to exorcise her!!"
KN:Religion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Corum speaks in celestial: "We are here to help!!"
He translates the words of Aklo: She said "Used his own creations to take him where Lady Uraba cannot see. Beyond the babblers' field.. to the heart of Fenrir's fury."
"I think we are dealing with possession here, be careful. Do not let her go."
Corum nods.
He waits for the door to open.1
Corum continues to observe their hosts. He is quiet and aloof.
He responds to the soldier with a smile.
"Thanks, what happened to our servers?"
Corum looks around.
"Make this one good. But not tooo good."
"So, what is real and what is a dream? I am losing my grip on reality!!"
Corum continues to listen attentively, aware that he is in over his head.
"Nicely done, nicely done"
"Well, my pointy ears come from falling all the way to earth from the highest heavens for daring to attempt to snatch the stars from the sky. As I fell head first, the rushing wind heated my ears to the point that they became points. Get it!!"
Corum mimics falling through the sky and trying to touch his fiery hot ears.
not charismatic at all: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1
Corum nodded formally with a small bow.
"Thank you for hospitality and sanctuary. I am sure some stories are in order, as we are quite uninformed."
Corum looks at the creature.
"I wouldn't be messing with that. It could be dangerous."
Corum looks at the fallen monks. Curious, he identifies their magic trinkets with ease.
Spellcraft checks should be auto take 10s
CL check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
"It would be unsettling to have enemies that can keep coming after dying with no fear of death."
Corum fires another ball of exploding acid (centered in A 23). It engulfs the two monks (D25 C26) and no one else.
REF DC 20 damage: 8d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 1, 2, 3, 3, 4) + 3 = 26
"No one leaves without feeling the caress of acid!!"
Seeing the monk standing over the knocked out man, Corum fires three bolts of force that hit the monk.
magic missile damage: 3d4 + 5 ⇒ (3, 3, 1) + 5 = 12
Corum moves closer (O10) and unloads a burning hand of acid at the two monks nearest him.
Save REF DC 18: 5d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 3, 1) + 2 = 15
Corum unloads a series of force bolts.
magic missile damage: 3d4 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4) + 6 = 13
Corum's explosive lands in H21 hitting five bad guys and no good guys or horses. Basically it is in the box including the K row and up and the 18 column and right.
Thanks, I am coming in with a bang.
Corum fires a ball of acid in the middle of the monks (O16) and the blast engulfs four of the monks (L13, L17, N17, N20). Unfortunately he hits the horse too. But hopefully horses are tough. He narrowly misses the lady, Sunny, and the warrior. He had cast this spell so many times, it was extra powerful in his hands.
fireball converted to acid REF DC 20 damage: 8d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 6, 2, 5, 3, 6) + 3 = 39
He heard monks could dodge some amazing fireworks. He waited to see if they could dodge his best magic.
Corum gestures, and as the druid begins summoning another creature, Corum gestures and the druid begins to get larger.

Corum racks his brains for any defenses these creatures may have.
He then casts a series of images of him appear.

Corum checks door for traps.

If it is clear, he fires his shot as the others attack.
Corum nods: "No poison works, and cold, acid or electricity is not as effective."
After casting mage armor on himself, he fires a bolt of fire straight at the creature at the prearranged ambush signal.

Corum nods as he enlarges the druid, "Preemptive attack. "
Corum explains:
"These are multidimensional beings from Leng. Severed from a shared consciousness, they formed their own offshoot called the Third Fold. I would assume it is alien and hostile until proven otherwise."
planes: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
'Let's go after the invaders."
Corum nods, listening attentively to Otholear.
"We should rally one of the meddlers to our common cause. Using this newfound ally should help lift this siege when we return with a new convert that can speak on your behalf. Send us to the one you are most sure of, in location and, hopefully, open-mindedness. Major Doyle can come too."
"Yes, I think Mayor Doyle will be leading this assault after taking slumber. I do not trust him with our sleeping bodies to honor any deals or agreements while he is helpless. It is time to cut the puppet strings."
Corum nods: "I am sure we can count on your full support. You will, of course, be coming along with us. Unfortunately you past actions require you to be in sight at all time rather than being nefarious behind our backs."
Corum nods: "Major Doyle, you need to explain why we do this for you when your intentions have never proven to be honorable?"
Disoriented a bit, Corum looks with distrust and disdain at the mayor.
"I don't know who these derros and blue creatures are, but I know I don't trust you Mayor Doyle."
Corum targets the satyr-like creature with a fiery explosion, leaving himself and the crocodiles out of the blast area.
As the spell manifests, Corum changes it to fiery acid ball, completely altering the elements used to make up the spell.

As Corum's flame licks the enemy, it gets extra fiery (+2 hp damage for evocation ability). He points to Huesto: "We need to get him before he does something bad." Corum grips his metamagic wand after he cast as a lingering aura of antimagic clings to Huesto. Concentration check to cast or use a spell like ability for one round is at DC 19+spell level
Corum gestures and screwing fire heads to Huesto.
