Male Human Witch 2
Coross sees the hobgoblin land two crushing blows on Hack and waves his hand while the creature his shoulder chitters vaguely malevolently before creeping into the brush. Ill-Omen on the big scary hobgoblin and then move if I can somewhere where I can get some cover against the enemies.
Male Human Witch 2
Coross looks around. Well we'll leave you to those traps then; thank you for pointing us in the right direction. Nice place you have here. There may or may not be a note of sarcasm in his second sentence, but wither or not he is sincere, the odd animal perched on his shoulder begins making a sound which could be mistaken for a chuckle.

Well then gentlemen. I am Coross Archorious Valerius Kelson, rightful scion of the House of Kelson. I cannot help but notice that you have not volunteered your names, however. Coross gives a brief nod of acknowledgement to the woman who had been menaced by goblins. M'lady, I hope that you are unharmed from your ordeal.
Male Human Witch 2
The man in the trees emerges into the light. He is fairly tall and has oddly colored eyes. He is wearing trousers and a large bulky assh around his torso. On his shoulder sits a creature like none you have ever seen before. It is small and covered in downy jet black feathers, with eyes the same color as its master's and a maw full of tiny teeth. Man and beast alike look you up and down for a moment. What direction would you...gentlemen...happen to be heading in?
Male Human Witch 2
I am a little unclear on the positioning of the remaining goblins and such. The man in the shadows continues to silently observe the fight in the clearing. He smiles faintly at the sight of Clifford lumbering into meele. It is not clear what he is doing but you get the feeling that he is supporting your efforts. Evil Eye hex on whichever goblin is nearest to Clifford. -2 AC (DC 15)
Ah, I was not aware of the lack of dinosaurs. I would like to keep the familiar though, since I like the image of the small dinosaur curling around my neck. My backstory does say that I got my powers in an ancient ruin. Maybe I found a fossilized egg and the night that my patron first interacted with me it hatched into my familiar. Does that justify me having a dinosaur familiar even if they no longer exist?
You are correct, the last +4 to initiative comes from my familiar. I found it first in the SRD here. I took me a while to track down the source, but it is under the compsagnathus entry in the Bestiary 2 (pg 90).
DM Azure_Zero wrote:
The +4 is his perception. I just added that stat there since my familiar might be making Perception checks independently of my but he would probably not make a separate initiative roll. His initiative is the same as mine. DM Azure_Zero wrote:
The Cauldron hex gives me +4.
Unfortunately I do not have the required CHA to take the succubus feats, which look very cool, so I think that I will go with the Abyssal Heritor feats. I am unlikely to take more than one or maybe two. DM: I know that you specifically called out CN as risky alignment-wise, but I think that Coross' overall character arc should be a gradual transition from CN to CG, fighting against the (probably evil) nature of his patron who has chosen to grant him spells due to his unknown demonic taint.
Here is Coross Kelson, Human Witch. I am almost done with his profile, I just need to choose feats and traits and buy the rest of my starting equipment. Someone should also check the math on my familiar, it has been a long long time since I played a character with one. EDIT: I have taken the Cauldron Hex, as long as you are ok with players crafting magic items; I know that some DM's are not. I also took a Golarion specific trait, which does come from an official Pathfinder source however. If the trait is not ok, I will probably drop the Potion Brewing angle altogether.

Coross moves through the ruins towards where the library would have been, trying not to look at the faces of people he knew, which is difficult since the entire student body of the academy is scattered around dead. He mechanically picks over the remains for any books which may be of value (ie, spellbooks, books about the gods/demons/creation myths/crystals) that people had grabbed in their haste to escape. How slowly would I have to go to take 20 on this search?
Male Human Witch 2
Coross is torn away from his contemplation of the crysatal in his hand by the sight of the mountain coming down around the academy. He runs alongside Skender. We need to get as many people as possible out and have them rescue what they can of the academy! Tell everyone go gather up what books and scrolls and magic items they can!. First off, how far are we from the ruins of the academy? And second is the mountain still actively collapsing around us?
Male Human Witch 2
Coross picks through the remains of the dragon, clearly amused that he had something to do with making a dragon explode. As everyone seems to be leaving he looks up. Oh, time to be off then. Very well. He moves to leave through the new tunnel, still flexing his hand around the facinating crystal now embedded in it.
Male Human Witch 2
Coross is definitely far more interested in the crystal which is now part of his hand than even the appearance of a deity before them. He appears to be trying to channel his spells through it to dubious effect. Godsbane? What is this power which it siphons exatly, and how can we use it?
Male Human Witch 2
Coross considers what the bird has said for a moment and examines the crystal now embedded in his hand. Was it your will which sent me this sword, to bring me here? He gestures with his clearly unatural sword. Did you bring all of us here? What do you need of us? Knowledge check on the crystal in me (I'm assuming Arcana is the relevant skill here).
Then, when I have adequate time Spellcraft to see if there is any way that this crystal can be beneficial to my spellcasting or magically useful in any other way.
Male Human Witch 2
Seeing Skender fall, and with a quick glance to see that he is being ministered to by Darche, Coross redoubles his efforts against the dragon, he stabs again with his sword at the Dragon's face, while his hand crackles with an eldritch arc of electricity. As the dragon flinches from his sword strike, Coross plants the ball of energy directly in the creature's eye. Spell (DC 16):
Shocking Grasp Full Round Action: Spell Combat. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Here is my action, I should be in square L10. I think that from now on we should wait for the initial map before anyone takes an action.
Male Human Witch 2
Reflex save:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 Coross leaps sideways as the dragon breaths it's breath weapon, and comes out of his roll within striking distance of the dragon, his sword shimmering with arcane energy. He swings at the dragon, and the light from his sword sends rainbows around the cavern as it reflects off the crystalline dragon. 5'Step diagonally towards the dragon. Once there is a map I'll know what suqare I'm in.
Did my Knowledge check give me any information about the dragon besides it's type? I got a 28.
Male Human Witch 2
Coross continues to look at the dragon in fascination. What are you? Besides angry that is. He says to no one in particular as he prepares for battle. He casts a familiar spell and moves to interpose himself between the dragon and the rest of the party. Spell (DC 16):
Sheild Standard Action: Cast Spell.
Male Human Witch 2
Coross has been leafing through his spellbook and muttering under his breath, preparing spells. When he sees the rest of the party getting ready to break camp, he closes the book and returns it to it's place strapped to his belt opposite his sword. See profile for new spells prepared. Coross then notices that the crystals along the walls have changed color during the night. Does anybody remember what color the walls were yesterday? I think they changed during the night.
Male Human Witch 2
As the hours go past, Coross pulls a book out of his pack, entitled The Collected Drama and Romance of Valafar and resumes reading where he had presumably left off reading before. He occasionally look up from his book to shoot a glance up and down the hall. Looking over his shoulder, it appears the page he is on contains an illustration of a Knight being dismembered by some sort of monster.
Male Human Witch 2
Cooss looks up and down the length of the passageway. If we found a safe place to make camp, we could use it as a base to explore the extent of these caves. Also I must admit I did not think to prepapre appropriate spells for our situation. He holds up his spellbook. Tomorrow I would be able to prepare some more useful magics.
Male Human Witch 2
Coross sheathes his sword again with a flourish, and looks around at his and Skender's handiwork, obviously pleased with himself. @Skender: Well, this is my kind of trip now. Best one I've been on. Coross then bends down and picks up the severed head of the creature that he had just killed, giving it a cursory examination before moving to take samples from it like Rafael suggested. He carefully uses a small knife to pry a sliver off of the head into one of the vials and then takes a sample of the body on the floor in another vial, each of which is carefully labeled "head" and "body" respectively. I fill one of Rafael's vials with a sample of the head and one with a sample of the body and label them accordingly before offering them both to Rafael. @Rafael: Here you go, Professor Ler'it. I'm as interested to analyze these as you are.
