Coracle has already grabbed a tankard of grog from the stores being opened to celebrate the expedition's victory. "It was a small army of Pathfinders going willingly into the Eye of Abendego. It was bound to get weird," the catfolk says with exaggerated gravity, before taking a long pull from his drink, then laughing heartily. "The gods of luck have smiled on us today, mateys, so let's thank them by being merry!" He starts dancing to the sailors' song, with a grace born more of natural athleticism than any real skill at dancing.

However, the game looks like it is not reported... yet.

It was reported for me just fine. Have you tried buying the Chronicle boon?

The event date is given as Sept. 7 (which I think is when the game started?) so you may need to scroll a ways down your Sessions page to see it, but when I looked at just this character's sessions, it was right at the top.

And speaking of that boon, I may have my first gun-toting PC as soon as Coracle can afford it (after striking on his handwraps, next level). I don't have to choose him for access, but it seemed suitably pirate-y and imtimidating, and definitely unexpected for a monk!

Coracle dreams about one of his first few Pathfinder missions, in the accursed land of Nidal. He had not given the gods much thought before then, but was deeply offended by everything he learned about the oppressive Kuthite regime, and very impressed by a Desnan priest who worked in secret to resist it. This inspired him to learn more about the Song of Spheres, and the catfolk sailor found the goddess of luck and travelers very much to his liking. She is also the goddess of dreams, so upon awaking, Coracle found himself oddly comforted by the reminder of surviving that earlier harrowing mission.

Just checking to make sure I understand: does that mean we get 6 checks per PC, one for each 10 minutes?

And would Sailing Lore be an appropriate substitute skill? Coracle's no builder, but he has worked on ships his whole life (sailor background), which is a lot of hard labor.

Coracle dives for cover as the Squall breaches. After the shrapnel from the broken mast sprays across the deck, he pops back up, miraculously unharmed. His tricorn was not so lucky, however, and has been impaled by a wicked, two-foot shard of wood that missed creasing his skull by less than a finger's breath. His movements become even more catlike as he assumes a martial arts stance. He fully expects to have to fight for his life even more literally in the very near future.

The catfolk monk renews his efforts to raise some sail on the surviving mast.

As a catfolk pirate from a long line of catfolk pirates, Coracle sleeps with enviable ease despite the rolling of the ship through the night. When Calisro's pre-dawn bellow awakens the Pathfinders, he's one of the first on deck, not needing to waste any time donning armor or strapping on weapons apart from his bandolier of darts.

When he sees the absolutely immense orca, his ears lie back and he hisses through bared teeth. He murmurs a fervent prayer to Desna for luck as he checks that the wooden butterfly on his sash, and the dragon turtle scale on his jacket, are both fastened securely, then scrambles to his post.

Coracle finishes climbing up to the crow's nest once Singe stops firing. "Aye, learning as much as we can of the Whipporwwill's story is why we're here," the catfolk assures the forlorn ghost.

If Singe will permit it, Coracle will carefully collect the tattered Pathfinder flag to take back to Calisro. That seems like one relic that should definitely be returned to the Grand Lodge!

Coracle would also appreciate some medical attention before the next mission. He was healed after the previous fight, so I don't know if the hour cool-down for Treat Wounds will be over before Act 3 begins? He still has his Pathfinder provisions potion, but will save that for later unless he's unable to get any other healing now.

Coracle disembarks from the jolly boat, and the appearance of the goblin in the crow's nest simply redoubles his desire to reach and search that part of the ship. He heads to the base of the mast, concerned far more about the threat from the ghost pirate than any whale.

Is there a roll to learn more about the haunt and how to fight/disable it? Coracle has Religion and Sailing Lore, both at +5, if either apply. He should have at least one action left after moving for Recall Knowledge.

We should probably compare some skills to see who's best suited for what tasks.

As I mentioned above, Coracle has Athletics +9 +(11 to Swim while the pearl is active), has the Underwater Marauder feat, and a dragon turtle scale in case he needs a swim speed.

His Perception is +5, and his Acrobatics is +9.

If nobody has any better ideas, Coracle would suggest coming as close to the west side of the surviving stern as the surf will allow (less debris/rocks there), climb aboard, and search that part first. (He sees the crow's nest and flag as the most obvious objective, until they discover more.) Then the more athletic members of the party can climb/jump/swim/etc. southward to the other pieces of the ship, while others continue searching the stern or move the jolly boat around to the bow.

Coracle gives a low whistle when he sees wreck. "It be a miracle that any of her is still above water at all after so many years in the Eye." He pulls out the spyglass that his crew took from the looters, and surveys the site. The tattered green flag seems to capture his interest most. "We be needin' to reclaim what's left of them colors, even if we find naught else," he says with some determination and reverence in his voice. "The nest be a good place t' keep watch, too."
