Copper Tam's parents were lost in a shipwreck when she was an infant. She was rescued from the Inner Sea and raised in a Razmiri orphanage in Absalom. She was teased regularly by the other orphans, partly for her small size, but mostly for the odd birthmark she sports--a ragged circle around her left eye.

She never knew what she was destined for when a Razmiri priest recognized the meaning of the birthmark, and took her back to Razmir for training. Her time spent as a bully's target served her well, sharpening her mind for threats and hidden agendas, as well as giving her a quick, jumpy way of moving, able to pounce on any opportunity as it presents itself.

Gone today is the meek victim of yesteryear, replaced by a quick-witted, tenacious scrap of pure action. She has learned to sail, and spends her time outside the Pathfinders traveling between Absalom, Katapesh, and Sothis, helping people track down all sorts of pretty treasures from ancient times.

Copper Tam is a diminutive, wiry young woman. She is perhaps a bit skinny, but what there is of her is all muscle. She keeps her straight red hair long and in a pair of ponytails. And, of course, the birthmark of a circle around her eye is her most distinguishing feature. She occasionally conceals it by wearing a pair of goggles.
