Steady like a rock over here.

OK, I've settled on Neutral Good for alignment. I think it sits better with the two worlds theme I have in mind for the character. Rather than aether, to feed his bad boy side, he can have his own brew that he makes available to friends for parties sometimes.

Table Talk:
"Oh! I have some notes on some rune magic from the early days of faith." Cobalt produces several pages of writing and passes it to Hazel."[/b]

Table Talk:
Cobalt takes note of the librarian's glances at them. "You've all proven that you're tough as stone, but if we keep arguing we'll be put out of here and get into trouble. You want the Establishment taking notice of you like that? How about we finish this work, then all go for a soda? What do you say?"

It might be of interest to know that Cobalt knows how to brew beer. I wonder if that includes aether or is that a different skill?

I hadn't considered the DM wouldn't want us role-playing in recruitment. I now have something to consider for a later date. Thank you everyone.

Table:
"I think we should stay focused on the assignment and leave the librarian and her property out of it."

Spoiler:
Why do we keep using spoiler tags?

Cobalt sits stiffly at the table wondering just how much trouble he'll get into because he was assigned to this group. He pretends like he's reading while switching his gaze between the librarian and the door to the Room of Secrets.

Somehow I didn't see that Expert page in hero lab. I've made a few adjustments to the character because of that. Thanks.

Library:
Sense Motive 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Tunder looks from the group to the librarian, back to the group then the librarian again before settling his gaze on the group. **Sigh**

Library:
Cobalt comes into the library and sees his classmates. He says a brief prayer to Lissala (Torag) and continues in. "Have you done much work on our project so far?"

Here is Cobalt Stonepeak. It's not very good, but I hope it gets the point across at least a little.

Cobalt always seems to have a foot in two worlds.
He is proud of his traditional dwarven heritage, but feels it can be a detriment to his ambitions. He is a devout worshipper of Lissala, but pays respect to Torag in many small ways. In addition to being proficient at a forge, he has studied the very dwarven field engineering and architecture to better advance his ambitions.
Note: When it is time for our first PC class level, Cobalt will take a crossblooded sorcerer with the Earth Elemental and Empyreal (a wild blooded celestial line) bloodlines.
