So I love the STLs that haev been coming out. But I have a question? Are the Tribes on MMF and the Patreon equal? Like it jsut ends up being my perferred platform? or are there differences?

Predictive Positioning

Based on text if your Quantum Feild is more then movement speed away then you can not use this feat. So if put my feild 60 feet away I am not allowed to teleport within the quantum field.

Anyone else sort of miffed by the Time Dragon STL from pathfinder quest being one huge piece to print? I have a decent 3d printer and it will not fit on the plate since it is one piece..the diabolical dragon is cut into smaller peices...why not the time dragon?

So the 10 minute load time seems strange to me. I guess it is because the "specialized reusable firing cap". Would you allow players the ability to buy "specialized reusable firing cap" to pre build grenades and the make it two action to reload (like grenade launcher)? or is the "specialized reusable firing cap" mechanism built intp the launcher and needs to loaded by grenade?

So here is my question.

A Soldier(action hero) with a machine gun with 3 rounds left in the magazine. They have 3 emenies within range 40ft cone.

Option 1 The soldier uses auto fire spending all 3 rounds...1 for the Primary Target attack and then 2 more rounds to apply auto fire only one the target. So spending all the ammo but not being able to hit all targets.

Option 2 The soldier cannot make the attack since they do not have enough ammo and the need to reload to make sure there is at least 7 rounds available.

I am thinking option 2 is correct but I struggle to find support documentation in the book. Page 255 under expend is the best I can find

"Other abilities might cite the use of expend as the amount of ammo required to complete the action"

If there are other supporting rules for either option please let me know!

So a Barathu speed work? I says

SPEED: 5 FEET (HOVER);
FLY 20 FEET

So if I read this right...if Barathu is not flying it can only move 5 feet and is 5 feet of the ground. If it is flying it can move 20 feet but has to spend an action each round to keep flying each round.

I am not understanding why the speed is only 5 ft? wouldn't you just fly 20 ft at a height of 5 ft?

I sort of remember Starfinder STLs being discussed on MyMiniFactor? Pathfinder STLs made it out there...is this still a thing?

I sort of feel like it needs better starship combat rules. The cinematic starship combat rules are good and I will use them but actually starship combat is needed. I know tech is coming out sometime....but has there been discussion around a play test? I mean this seems super important to play test, almost as much or more then then the 2 classes in the book. Since the last stream announce the new gencon (not Tech Core) release I just have not heard anything....

There appears to little to no communication on this....

What is the DC used when you throw a Grenade? I am assuming it is class DC?

I am running "Murder in Metal City" and having a great time. But struggling to understand the last chapters location. So the "Teardrop Ice well" is a hole in the ground sort of an inverted funnel, so bigger on the bottom. I think there are edges or lips at each level. But the description of the Abaddon Fields is throwing me....is it not only a mile wide at the bottom? 30 feet at the top and 1 mile at the bottom? Also it appears there are Day Devle is accessible via stairs everything is climbing? At level 1 climbing a mile down a hole could be fatal...just wondering how people dealt with this

There does not seem to be a place to ask about Starfinder 2e adventures...not sure why but here is my question

Lunar-17 is an Mystic with the Mystic Connection Ashaskic meaning she is an Occult caster but she has Heal on her spell list? I cannot seem to figure out how she got Heal. I am thinking it is a error and it should be Sooth a decidely weaker spell. Thoughts on this? Am I missing something?

I am wondering if there will be a Starfinder Special Edition Adventure Subscription? I have a Starfinder Adventure Subscription and wnat to change it a Special Edition but that does not seem to be an option even though "Guilt of the Gravelands" will have special edition. When I asked it seems the only options is to cancel my subscription and buy it seperately....accept there will be no Free PDF.

Anyone know of a set of cards that cover the Exploration Activity? I was hoping to give my players a set each so they could put on the table in front of them (we play in person). We always seem to forget about them? Trying to make it easier

Has there been any discussion on a playtest of the new starship rules? Just got the GM core and was a little disappointed to see how little content there was about starship combat. It was weird that vehicles were next in the book and that write up felt more like I was hoping to see for starships. Do not get me wrong, I will use the cinematic starship rules, they are good in certain situations but I was hoping for a little more.

I think there is a book coming out early next year with more...but it would be great to playtest starship combat and provide feedback.

Does feat only matter if your weapon is Reload 3?

"You know that reloading a weapon can be a delicate process, but you’ve mastered how to do so in the middle of combat, starting while still in the act of firing your weapon. Reduce your weapon’s reload cost by 1, then Interact to reload your weapon. Unlike most Interact actions, you don’t need a free hand to reload your ranged weapon in this way."

It seems is is an action and it makes a 2 action reload one action.

So I am just starting my SF2 journey and I plan to run "Battle for Nova Rush" since the PDF just came out. But I have a few questions since core book is not out. Seems like running this on FreeRPG day would have been hard

1 it seems the PDF is missing item and ability descriptions. Where can I get those? Is there a reference some where?

2 is there a way to get the maps with out the room numbers on them? I useca tv to display maps on my table top

I subscribed to the "Starfinder Special Edition Rulebook Ongoing Subscription" but I do not see the core book in my sidecart yet? I see "Murder in Metal City" should I reach out to support? I see it is on preorder and expected to be release July 31s so I thought it would in my side cart.

It seems strange to me that a sling is reload 1 when all the bows are reload 0 (even the wierd ones like Sheildbow)? I am trying to determine why...reload 0 would not seem over powered comapred to shortbow? Thoughts on why this might be?

Just wondering how quickly do PDFs and books get updated with errata? I get it that AoN is available but having and offline PDF is also useful. Also How do we know when books get reprinted and updated?

I am looking for a simple straightford adventure. We have a new player and he struggles with ambiguity and complexity of story. To the point if he feels lost he reacts with chaos and in game destructive behavior. So I am looking for something that is black and white. We are the good guys....they are the bad guys. Roleplaying is fine as long as it in context of the story. I was thinking about Abomination Vault but I am little concerned about the second book.

So any suggestions would help me..I do not want a full app but a single adventure or 3 book AP is fine.

There is a map of skywatch provided....there appear to labels on the map but they are not on the image. Some apear to on some appear to be off? Greyed out. How do I get rid of them?

I know I can use all the old adventures but was wondering if there was an adventure released in remastered rules? With intro about changes in the game things like removal of alignement (and the changes to address that) and things like that? Basically highlighting shifts for people? I have gaming event on the 25th where I would like to high light the remaster.

I am going to be running PF2 demos at my local library con in October. Is there a demo that can scale with the number of players available? Torment and Legacy assumes 4 to 6 players but I need something that can run on a variable amount of players starting with 1 and maybe an iconic.

The Gencon demo "Pathfinder Demo: Bandits on the Bridge" list 1 to 12 players which sounds perfect but it does not seem to be available for purchase or download. thoughts?

Have not been to Gencon in a few yers and I am having a real hard time find events. Do they still seat generic tickets? 2 of my friends got into the special for pathfinder but I did not get a ticket? Will then seat a generic for the special? Or any events?

So we are about 3 weeks out from starting this adventure path :) We are moving to Foundry full time with this. I ahve a few questions. Can I load all the books at once? Or do load book 1 and when we finish it load book 2? Doing a test it tells me while loading book 2 after book 1 that it will over write existing assets. Is that ok or are there changes to things specific to book 2 :)

So I would love to be able to have a starting data package for Campaign Manager. Something like World Anvil, Campfire, Kanka or Scabbard data packages would be great. I am not set on platform yet. Anyone know if something like this exists? I have all the books/PDFs but would love to jump start the campaign manager if possible. Thoughts?

I was told today that by RAW the emanation from bless does not move with the caster. It is stationary, meaning to move it the caster has to move and spend an action to extened it by 5 feet thus recnetering it on them. There was a lot of discuccsion around emanations and the thought that they do not move unless it it says "emanation that continually ebbs out from you" like aura. I did bring Sphere of Invisibilty which states "While exploring, it's easy to move together slowly and remain invisible". which I guess which implies movement?

Is this true? have I been playing bless wrong for 2 years now? Dogs and cats living together? Mass hysteria?

Just started reading and on the second page it mentions the Rending, Torag's Cricible and the Kingdom of Kraggodan...wait the Kraggodan? Is this a typo? I know the Kraggodan (Sky Citidel) is in Nirmathas in the Mindspin Mountians....I am thinking it shoulf be Five Kings but not sure?

We are starting book 6 and I am planning on building a 3d version of the final encouter (maybe more of the fortress it depends on time) and I am looking for stand in for General Azaersi. I think I got the others but having trouble finding a good one. I have a 3d printer so STLs work....if anyone found a stand in please let me know. Thanks

In Bestiary 3 the Terra-Cotta Garrison has raise shield and shield block. How would shield block work? The troop does not even have equipment? I guess it could use the steel shield (Hardness 5, HP 20, BT 10) from the warrior but that seems weird since it only has 20 HP and BT 10?

We have been playing since launch and we are finishing up the "Ironfang Invasion" (great AP) so we are talking about what is next. I am the GM and as we move on I just wondered about peoples thoughts on uncommon and rare ancestries. Are they balanced with common ancestries? Is it really just to allow the GM to say "Nah does not fit" or are there benefits beyond the common ancestries?

Everything I read....I cannot find much seems on ancestry rarity does not mention balanced issue but may not be theme appropriate. But wondering the community thoughts?

I am looking at Animal Specializations Bully....do you think that the animal companion would suffer -4 since they do not share a language?

So watching the "Head Shot the Rot" it was interesting to see the new guns in play...the one thing I thought was weird was the "Scatter" Property.

Is it really meant to hit the person firing the gun? In several cases Zakzak and Booker were effected by there own shot. I read the property it seems like it should but it felt weird. Not being able to blast zombies adjacent seemed a little strange. I suppose ricocheting shot could bounce back but it felt more like a bomb then gunfire.

Am I reading that right?

Anyone know if the Trox have been added to Pathfinder Second Edition. I looked in AON and searched here but not finding anything. Anyone got a good replacement for a darklands trox slave (running Ironfang Invasion)?

I was listening to a POD cast the other day and they mentioned that all teleportation effects do not provoke and AOO. Reading I wonder..

Reading Teleportation It reads

"Teleportation does not usually trigger reactions based on movement."

but wouldn't the casting of Dimension Door provoke since is has a somatic and gains the Manipulate??

Attack of Opportunity requirements state

"A creature within your reach uses a manipulate action or a move action, makes a ranged attack, or leaves a square during a move action it’s using."
