Sang-m is caught off guard by the first strike, and only barely manages to turn her head for the following flurry. The only saving grace being that the punches are wild and angry, he would inflict more damage if he calmed down. Her only thought is to keep her head turned, protect the one good eye, even as her head bounces against the floor.

After, as the bouncer drags her away, she begins to laugh "Aow Aow Aow!" she mocks as she disappeares behind the door.

----

Inside the lavish room she makes little eye contact with the woman. Sang-mi's uneasiness around her is clearly visible. She remains quiet during the twos interaction.

As the bouncer releases her hands she cautiously reaches down, taking out the switch blade in her leg and uses it to cut free her feet. Afterwards she lifts the injured leg up and rests it over the other knee and cuts the pant leg on that side off at the knee, using it to bind the wound. She does this in the manner that Mark taught her, and all the while she watches St. John in silence.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

maybe it was the smell, maybe the pain, maybe it was Spider-chin's smug attitude but like her blood, Sang-mi's better judgement was drained. She turned her focus on his face and stared hard for a moment, then her lip curled into a spiteful sneer.

"You will do nothing! You are a whimpering pup a part of a failing cartel on it's deathbed! I am here not because you are talented, all deh talent in your gang is dead! She! Is why I am here and you grovel for a chance at revenge! You are nothing to her, you are nothing! Now get your face out of mine! Your breath reeks like a b!!$~ in heat!" The shouting is nearly a run-on sentence.

She pauses to breath before continuing, "You want to know about your brother? He was a warrior, he died in battle, you dishonor him with your actions! You do not deserve his memory!"

Her head dips from the head rush of anger and she tries catch her breath.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi flicks her hair to the side and looks up at Spider-chin. She doesn't answer, letting her silence be her response. Her gaze shifts to around the room, blinking disoriented, and trying to get a grasp on the situation.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Damns!

If the dodge would have just worked, if her leg wasn't maimed, if the girls would have just f#~@ing been respondsible and gone home on time, then all of this wouldn't be a problem. She thought to herself as she stared back down the muzzle of the gun.

She was prepared to die.. after all, as far as she was concerned she already did. Dying however wouldn't solve this problem. She needed to protect those girls and the only way she was going to do that now was to submit. She smiled back at spider-chin ..

"Ha ha! Oooh you, you got me good. Well played. You, gotta admit, I had you scared dere for a moment right?" She calls out, releasing the hostage and putting her hands up.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

how far away is the door to the truck I'm near?

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

"10-31, shots fired!. Old town railway!" Sang-mi hissed from behind her hostage. It didn't matter if she had the right code, she knew (ateast she thinks she knows) that there would be a patrol car or cars in route to investigate.

"If you wanted me dead, I'd be dead. But now you don't have time to wait. You're running short on men too I hear.. DEA? Let deh girls go and I come willingly."

She spoke through grit teeth as the pain coursed through her leg. She could only hope Spider-chin would see reason.

If nessessary she'll use another bonus action Dodge, but otherwise spend the action talking.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Oops, didn't realize, that pretty much prevents the grapple attempt since the Action surge must be an attack to trigger the flurry. Just treat the action surge attack as the opener and the flurry as the follow up. (I can't see a way to organize it differently that has a better outcome x_X)

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

She will attempt to catch the two behind her off-guard by waiting till the very last moment before tying her down to strike.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

If successful:

Dodge action+partial move
Sang-mi snaps her wrist away as she drops in a defensive roll backward between the two men with the intention of using them as cover from the other gunmen. in case of readied fire
Acrobatics to move between them: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Flurry of blows
She then raises with an uppercut on the man to her left then follows through with a turning sidekick aimed at break his ribs.
Uppercut: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Sidekick: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

She will action surge, if the first man is still standing to attack him a third time or if not she will move slightly to put the other man between her and the line of fire and then attempt a grapple to hold him there.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Or
Grapple: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

I'll hold it there to see how things pan out lol

Going through Sang-mi's head:

"I need them to take shots but not kill me! The police will be called if shots are fired.
Plus Elliot must be on his way, I didn't call back yet and I'm late, he's going to be suspicious, he's going to come check.
Buy time! Make noise! Don't get shot again!"

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Where's Triss when you need her: 1d20 ⇒ 12

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi rolls her eye and sighs. Putting her hands on her head she looks over at spider chin.

"What is dis? Amatuer hour? Do dah thugs with brains sit at home and send you mooks to do dah dirty work?"
She snears and speaks louder, "What are you planning huh? Abduct two WHITE GIRLS in Chicago belonging to an upstanding citizen!? You won't move s#~@! Every Man Hunter in deh Northeast will be hounding your sorry ass all the way back to prison Chinstrap."

She steps forward ignoring the pointed guns at her. "We both know why you're here... Nobody is going to notice a missing Korean immigrant. Let the two stupid kids go, they aren't worth deh hassle... Then let's go."

if you want some rolls let me know, there's a bit of convoluted lie/not lie threat/persuasion going on. LoL

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Fuuuuuuu

She will roll out the far side of the car and stand up.

"Whoa, guys, you scared me. I was just taking a piss... What's going on?"
She puts on a bit of the surfer vibe she learned from back in L.A.

Pretending to adjust her pants she walks around the rear of the truck toward the nearest dude to the truck.

Looking across the group she singles in on him.

"Got a spare cig bro?" She gestures like smoking a cigarette and attempts to get closer to him.

She won't be super agressive about the approach, if he seems defensive or hostile she'll stop and put her hands up like "didn't mean to impose"

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Her eye widens in Surprise and she drops and rolls under the truck.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

attempting to hide beneath it.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi sighed disgruntled. "I could have sworn...", she thought to herself as she continued to look around.

track it: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

If nothing comes up she will take a small detour to find a pay phone to give Elliot a call, trying to keep an eye on the truck.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

booyah!? God this is dated lol

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

She becomes concerned as 10pm rolls around and there is no sign of the girls, so she sneaks her way up to the truck. Using it as cover she begins to look out for where they may have gone, in particular if there are other vehicles near by.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi is overjoyed at the idea of having dinner there, walking back into the house with a smile on her face.

one thing that becomes fairly evident as the two of them eat: Sang-mi eats like an athlete. She seems to have a particular love of the Salmon bake.

As they talk and he shares his stories of his time in Interpol she reciprocates with tales of North Korea (from the point of view of a child) and of her time studying Wushu. Through the evening the edge of concern will have worn off as she seems more relaxed.

Off to the races!

stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

She stands and follows, stopping at the door and pushing him by the shoulder.

"10'o'clock, plenty of time. Let's go get something to eat." with a smile she gestures toward her car.

Nothing particular, she just wants to spend more time with Elliot while waiting. She'll aim to show up at the place Joan and Max are at around 9:45 (dropping off Elliot first of course). Feel free to interject anything of course.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi rolls her eye and gets over and walks and sits next to him, nudging him with her shoulder.

"Oh Elliot, you know I didn't mean interrupt deh date. I'll just make she stays honest and is home by 10... I promise I won't beat up Max" her tone is playful and she throws an arm over his shoulders.

"Sometimes deh best way to help one's self is to help others, yes?" She gives him a big smile, waiting to see if he gives in.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

The cold chill of being caught runs down her spine. She couldn't hope to beat Elliot at this game, and she didn't want to disrespect him either.

"Let me talk to her, daughter to daughter. Where are dey going?" She steps away from the window and back into the living room.

The one benefit she had was she knew he knew where they'd gone, that's what he does. She turn and sat back in the seat waiting for his response.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi stands and follows Elliot to the window, watching out over his shoulder. She takes note of Max and anything else she sees. (vehicle and such)

Remaining at the window and staring out as he steps back into the room she listens quietly then responds, "Deh only thing I know how to do is fight."

Glancing back at him over her good side she sighs,"Who should I talk to?"

Deception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
the check is for Elliot obviously, but the spoiler has her plans in it.

On Sang's mind:

Sang-mi's demeanor shifted the moment Joan came walking down. She was more interested now in the family dynamic, what she and Elliot had talked about.

Maybe it was a defense mechanism, push her problems down for the mission at hand, she was intent on knowing more about what Elliot was struggling with. She couldn't let him know... She hoped that with his training and her acting experience she had hidden it, but she knew he was the cunning and intelligent. She could only hope...

She'll opt for option C, Follow Joan (if possible)

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi remains quiet during Elliot's synopsis. It wouldn't take a lot of effort to see that she's very distraught over the whole thing, particularly the waking hallucinations. A rush of adrenaline washes over her as Joan pops in. Quickly she regains her composure and smiles as Joan comes down.

"Hi, yes Elliot is my friend.. we do work together." She shifts uncomfortably in her seat, finding the whole situation unusual and being a little embarrassed.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

-With Mark-
"Why not hit me too den?" She steps up to him.
"He and I are equal in dis." she continues as she holds out her arms, offering an open shot.

Int check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

Meditation

The first long stretch of "recovery" Sang-mi struggles, long nights of tossing and turning, of screams into pillows, dazed semi consiousness sitting with the cold shower pouring on her. She tries to combat this the way that is most comfortable for her- physical exhaustion. She works out hard, using the workouts taught to her by Mark, but to little avail.

Next she turns to Wushu, but the Peking school she went to was a performance art school, the meditative and introspective qualities stripped away for pragmatism.

Finally she turns for help, Mark would be a poor choice in her opinion.. in him she saw the same wolf she saw in herself, only more veteran, and she could see he hadn't come to grips with his old wounds yet either. So she turned to Elliot, telling him of the nightmares, of the woman on the street, and her fear that the head injury might get worse. She looks to his wisdom on what to do.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sorry for the long delay, especially for such a short response, it's been a weird week

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

-- some time after breakfast, but before the continued training --

"What is dis!? You hit Elliot! Why!?" she demands as she finds Mark.

-- later --

Sang-mi listens quietly, introspective of her own recent 'events', and lets Mark finish his story.

"Now you are my mentor, do not go running off." She says after with a smile and a chuckle.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

-- part 1 --

Glancing back at Mark in the car, "I knew.." She said confidently, "But I also didn't want to disappoint you."

During the next morning she glances at Elliot and does a double-take. "Mark?" She says examining his face. A hot wash of embarrassment rushes over her, 'How'd he find out? Is this my fault? How could he have known?' all rush through her mind in an instant as she awaits his response.

-- Part 2&3 --

After his previous mentions of the 'mentor' and this new one Sang-mi isn't able to hold back her curiosity, "You've had dis mentor on your mind for some time, what happened if you don't mind me asking?" She doesn't peruse of the issue if he's very tight lipped but will listen if he has anything to share.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

that's no worries broski :)

whatever is most convenient for you is all that matters to me.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Great garage band music by the way

Sang-mi digs around and picks up her running pants and tosses them over her shoulder then pushes her way out following Mark.

"Have fun?" She says with a smirk as she pushes the envelope of money against his chest, handing it over to him.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi's chest heaves, "Breath you fool breath!" she can hear her wushu instructor shouting in her head.

Another breath and then she moves in on the final opponent...

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
... She starts with a front facing high kick.

Flurry 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Followed by a quick drop into a sweep.

Flurry 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7
Using the spinning momentum she combos into a roundhouse kick, throwing her weight into it. This is accompanied by a Bruce Lee "Whootah!" as she kicks through, returning to a defensive stance.

At this point Sang-mi is visibility starting to looked gassed.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

I'll take it, but man they handled unarmed weird in 5e.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

A quick clarification? I don't have any bonus attacks besides flurry which I wasn't using there, instead just using the bonus offhand attack for dual-wielding (assuming fists/feet constitutes light weapons). Or am I missing something?

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

A quick shuffle of her feet, Bruce Lee style, and she moves forward. Normally she wouldn't strike a downed opponent but figures the circumstances warrant it. She moves to Baldy...

attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
advantage: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
...starting with an axe kick to the abdomen.

off-hand attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
advantage: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Then catching his jaw with a flick of her foot on the draw back to stance.

She quickly glances a bout the crowd, scanning for any other 'surprises'.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sensing more danger from the recognized veterans Sang-mi makes her move. She steps in on Wifebeater and engages...

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
She leads with a strong kick to his inner thigh, attempting to knock him off balance or lose footing...

Flurry 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Then following with a superman punch hoping to disorient him..

Flurry 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
And finishing with a rising knee to his jaw to put him down.

In case she KOs him early:

If she KOs him earlier than the 3rd attack, she'll turn her attention to fatty, doing a sweep attack. Applying the monk ability to the attck:
Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike or martial arts weapon, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC (12) or be knocked prone.

Then She pops into a defensive position anticipating the next attack.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

As far as Sang-mi is concerned, there's only a crowd of one as the fight starts. No reason to drag this fight out or hold anything back. She unloads...

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
She starts with a feint into a right knee hoping to catch him off guard.

Action Surge Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11
Following with a heavy left cross while he's distracted.

Flurry 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
As he's staggered to the right, she throws a quick uppercut.

Flurry 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Then uses her momentum from the uppercut to roll into a turning sidekick.

... She holds in sidekick pose, leg fully extended, for just a moment then snaps the knee back and stands in a readied pose waiting for the response.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi has come ready for this: a sports top and loose fit running pants. She pulls tight the martial arts gloves then begins to stretch as the crowd warms up. As the hulk enters the opposite side of the ring she sizes him up, then nods across to him approvingly. As the ref slides in to begin the fight she slides the running pants off revealing the athletic shorts beneath, she tosses them aside then rolls her neck prepping and is clearly ignoring the crowd.

As the ref signals the fight to start and the man approaches to touch gloves, sang follows suit with her left hand out. Her eyes only for a moment leave the man to meet Mark's as the gloves touch.

After the long training and getting settled she'll head out to order a large Chicago deep dish pizza, and hunt down the best (or most expensive) German beer she can get her hands on. She'll then head to Mark's place afterward and knock on his door. Using her intimate knowledge of his usual schedule lol

"Hey Neighbor! Mind if I come in?" Assuming he lets her in, she'll be honest with him about the training, what she learned, etc. She won't name drop Elliot specifically but she'll emphasize that she doesn't want to hide secrets from her brothers even if this was just a training exercise. After, she'll probe him for more info on his fighting career being keenly interested in the sport.

Making note of this place for 'future research' Sang-mi rolls out. The choice is difficult as the opportunity to flex her muscle is incredibly enticing.

Once home she'll begin working on a full write up to present to Elliot in the morning.

Before ending the night she'll go out for a bit of a workout, still being slightly pumped from the fight night.

AC 17 (15UA), HP 4/18, Init +3, P.P. 14, Insp:0, HD: 3/3, AS: 1/1 Ki:3/3

Sang-mi shoots up in bed, drenched in a cold sweat and chest pounding. She stumbles her way to the bathroom and flicks on the light. Standing in front of the sink mirror she splashes her face with cool water trying to calm her nerves.

"Who are you?", she whispered, barely recognizing the face staring back in the reflection. A hot wash of anxiety and bitterness overcomes her for a second at the prospect of the hallucinations being a product of the gunshot injury.

Turning her head away she gathers herself, there was a mission to accomplish and doubt would only hold her back. She glanced back at the mirror one last time before leaving, then prepared for the day.

Legit, working through CSB to get an assumed identity or having somebody rent the place for me. If the original apartment needs to be dropped that's fine. If they want an explanation she'll be honest, she wants to take the mission seriously even if it's just training.

We'll go with Spot A, it's most risky... but Sang-mi's strong suit is stealth more than wiretapping. To aid in monitoring Mark (especially to give her a chance to reliably move around) before she gets set up upstairs she'll take a few extra precautions: 1) Dye hair Blond and get glasses 2) 'hire' a homeless person to pan handle outside the building to monitor when he comes and goes (best to cycle this person at least a few times) 3) Monitor Mark's comings and goings at work (as she might any other joe). This way she can hopefully build a timeline for his schedule and work around that.

Sang-mi continues with the girls through the building, utilizing the benefit of having a cover to investigate the building more thoroughly. She'll look around for alternative points of entry, fire escapes, building security, etc.

After finishing off the building she will lead the kids around the corner and give them the bag of mixed candy and her pail as a bonus for their help.

"Share dis with kids who aren't as lucky as you, I'm counting on you." She instructs 'Ariel' as she hands it over, viewing her as the most responsible.

After thanking them and parting ways, Sang-mi will change into more nondescript clothes for blending in and spend the rest of the night planning where to plant the surveillance equipment and how she's going to monitor Mark.

Okay, that's relieving. It's been so long I couldn't remember when costumes for women devolved to basically adding sexy before any thing - sexy pirate, sexy nurse, sexy spongebob. you know how it goes. She'll grab something a bit more conservative mostly for it's ability to cover her up/disguise her better.

As Sang-mi is playing the part, she won't mind holding Belle's hand as they walk.

As the kids start to make their way toward Mark's door she stops them for a moment. "I'm going to wait over there for a moment don't go too far after you've knocked on that door." The entire time she makes no gesture or glance toward Mark's door instead pretending to gesture toward many doors and to meet back at this spot with her hands, then thumbs towards the last cross hallway (unless there is none, the back toward the stairs). She then heads of to duck out of sight and watch as the girls knock on Mark's door. She's doing all this just in case they're being watched

Assuming Sang-mi asked what apartment number specifically was Marks just in case. Of course if that's part of the test that's fine.

Sang-mi Shrugs watching Elliot disappear into the distance. Turning she gets into the car and takes a short drive looking for a costume store (or equivalent) and purchase herself a swaggerly pirate costume (eyepatch appropriate). As with most female adult sized costumes it's a tad showy for her tastes but she makes due with it. After she also buys a pumpkin pale and a mix bag of candy and loads the pale up.

Returning to the Mark's, she waits and hunts down some trick-or-treaters (ones not accompanied by parents of course, this is the 90's after all). And offers up some cash money for them to go into the building with her and pretend she's their sister watching over them. She'll lead them around, still getting candy clearly, but taking stock of the lay of the building. Then she'll doubly focus on neighbors, especially if there's a kindly old woman or similar. She'll also look for good spots for surveillance equipment and take note of the apartment number and the mail box situation.

I'll add more once I get some info

I've got an idea of what I'm going to do brewing, I just need to wait till I have a computer on hand. (Too difficult to type appropriately on the phone).

Sang-mi stares a moment at Gruse, then her expression changes to a delighted smile.

"Ha ha! Elliot, you had me worried. After our talk, I expected you were really going to have me beat up dat Rocker punk we talked about last month." She smiles and slaps his knee, a look of excitement crossing her face.

"Follow Mark, now dats fun!" A slight fiendish expression crossing her lips.

Suddenly becoming a little aware she turns to look at Elliot. "Oh, and if you do want me to beat up dat boy you just gotta ask." She says, maybe only half joking.

Once in the room Sang-mi complies, a smidge tipsy from the drink. The effort reminds her of long afternoons cleaning the dojo back in Hong Kong.
