All this time, Chryzylyx has stayed tending the fire the wizard started and preparing servings of their combined food. She will offer the newcomer a plate when his eyes stop spinning. "Caine," sh returns to her previous conversation.s "As far as I am concerned, first choice of treasure can go to you. As long as the treasure is not useful to me, that is." She smiles charmingly. And with her charisma, it is charming indeed. Except for the undercurrent of her witch-elf powers, but that fey power has an intoxicating charm of its own. At least to her it does...
Chryzylyx watches her new friends with interest, but speaks little. She is enjoying the storm and the fresh air, the food and fire. Out of the corner of her eye she notices Cronin the rodent-man getting jumpy, but he seems to be a jumpy type, so she isnt worried. her interest is drawn more to the hulking human warrior who seems determined to lead someone somewhere. "Caine, is it?" she asks. I go to the Spell-tower on the morrow and have little desire to go alone. An escort would suit me." She appreciates his animal magnetism, but is a little put off by his short temper. It is the pair of half-elves who most interests her. She is unaccustomed to these 'mixed' racves, and finds their feywild auras to be intriguing. She feels each of them is more than they first appear. Turning towards the male: "What say you, sir? Shall we travel together to Spellgard as a grouop? your sword may come in handy, though I have powers of my own. Her eyes slowly turn to the departing female half-elf, and she marvels at the ease with which the woman fades into the shadows outside the firelight. Her hand slowly draws her pact-blade, and she sighs, knowing that she is enwrapped as ever, in the protection of Feywild.
"A fine night for a torrent" Chryzylyx thinks to herself as she espies the tower thrusting upwards in the distance, its peak seeming to pierce the lowering clouds. The cloud-lightning that arcs through the dark masses above are reflected in the intricate tracery that begins crackling over her exposed flesh. She closes her eyes for a moment and savors the brewing storm, and her mind passes into the feywild, where already trees are bending and whipping about with the cacophony of true-nature unbridled. "Yes!" she gasps, opening her eyes as the first drops of water sizzle on her skin. She steps into the leafy embrace of the copse and is delighted to find it already occupied. And by such a diverse group! Sitting down on a dry area beneath the boughs, she spreads open her ground cloth and begins opening a leaf-wrapped package of waybread, smiling and welcoming all to partake with here, gently suggesting that if they were to pool some food of their own, we might have a veritable feast.
...A couple of points...I suggest that you take three rituals only. Choose the ones you feel will be most useful. Your are not really a specialist ritual caster as yet, although if you want to go down that road you can do so. I think three known rituals for a second level pc sounds about right. You can have enough ingredients, reagents or whathaveyou for those three... I take this to mean I have the 3. Will be happy to pay for them if I misunderstood. Oh and as for my question: O great lady, what may I do to become one with the Feywild, and to bring it in ever-greater strength into the physical realm?
Well I believe DM stated we can get a standard set of weapons, equipment and armour at no cost, and use the 225 for 'other' stuff. There actually is only a single choice for magic - the 50 gp healing potion is the ONLY magic item less then 360 gp, so not a lot of choice there. I will use 200 to buy a healing pot and an extra casting for the 3 rituals I know, leaving me 25 gp. Not much else to do with the money, really... Oh and I couldnt pick out a good place in FR from the abbreviated list above, so I will make myself a wanderer I guess with no special benefits. Otherwise, I am updated and ready to ensorcel.
No problem! Had to ask though :) Here is my character, I think it is all complete except for the magic item (still deciding) I am still a little unsure about the rituals, can I know all the level 1 rituals, since I took the feat? Chryzylyx is small for Eladrin, but what she lacks in the physical realm, she makes up for in the metaphysical. Energy courses through her veins and her skin flickers constantly with the scintillating ripples of her innate magic. Her large eyes are like the starlit voids of space, and her bluish hair moves constantly in a breeze few feel in the material world. She is on a journey to explore the world, and her desire is to meld the real and feywild into one seemless place. To this end, she searches endlessly for ways to increase her wild fey powers.
Quick Q: as I am eladrin (longsword prof.) can I have my free magic item be a longsword version of the following: Pact Blade Level 3+
Weapon: Light Blade (usually daggers and sickles)
I am almost finished by the way, whew what a lot of work (still less then in 3.x though!) I just need to finish up with the rituals as far as I can tell. Oh, and also, I too have 3 class abilities, having thievery as a class skill and having the multi-class feat to give me thunderdome or whatever. (It is a wizard at-will that I can use an an encounter power.) I will update my profile soon.
She has much more reading ahead of her before she is completely 'statted out' per say (I am reading feats now) but here is the concept. I don't know what type of fey-demon or whatever pact she might have, so it is the feywild itself. I could also use some forgotten realms information, are the 'core' parts going to be online or anything? |
