Before leaving the encampment, Irabeth makes her way to Markus' side, takes the scrolls and wand the dhampir is holding up, and hands them over a cavalier, with explicit orders to give them to Ehren once the groups are rejoined.

Then, the paladin waits until they are on the way out of the camp, and toward reuniting with the infantry and medics, befor responding to Ary's questions. The camp was on fire, and it would be dangerous to stay withing its limit as long as the tents were burning.

"We are expected to join forces at Silvershore. Not showing up as expected could result in another Ahari bridge incident. So, I think we should go, after organizing the troop like Ser Markus is suggesting, of course." she looks toward Ary. "However, if we decide to stay, we should send scout to assess the situation, and possibly deliver a message explaining the delay. Also, we should quickly put out the fire and try to salvage any supplies this army might have. Including food."

As a player, I a pro the army resting here, but I don't think Irabeth would go for that.

While all her companions start chasing the high priest, Irabeth turns her attention toward the cavalry, actively looking for the leader.

"Captain Cobelen, order some of your men to keep a look out on the eastern front, a group of psychic was trailing you earlier. If they come, alert us immediately. " she calls out, once she finds her Or is it a him.. not sure with a first name like ciar.

"We also need someone to head ahead and tell captain Halse to refrain from entering the camp. We don't need more horses and soldiers piling into this inferno." she continues, wiping her brow with the back of her gauntlet.

Finally, having given her orders she points to one of the paladins.
"You, soldier. With me." she orders, making her way toward Annabelle.

Sheath. Move as much as possible toward Annabelle.

So... is Annabelle destroyed destroyed, or is there part of her body remaining?

At last thinks Irabeth, quickly unsheathing her sword while simultaneously striking at the nearby cultist.

attack(bless,PA): 1d20 + 11 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 1 - 2 = 16
damage(PA): 1d8 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 4 = 19

"Cavalry, the one in the cloud must not escape alive, take care of him!" she calls out to the paladins while she becomes visible.

Irabeth stays silent. Though Markus was right, there was no sense in scaring Sosiel and Aron into thinking they were dead. Then, just like moments before, she lays a healing hand on her commander.

"There." she whispers to Ary, handing her a healing potion.

lay on hands: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3) = 9

Not sure if sheathing weapon last round caused the AoO or if it was drawing the potion. Notwithstanding, this round Irabeth takes a standard action to heal Ary, and hands her a potion of cured moderate wounds.

A strange feeling of being enveloped in magic washes over Irabeth once Markus finishes his spell. Looking at her arm, now slightly transparent to her own eyes, she realizes that the white necromancer just saved their lives.

"Well done." she says under her breath.

"Sosiel, how's the other side of the wall of fire? Is it safe to pass or has the camp on the other side succumbed to the flames?" she asks, knowing her voice will seemingly come from nowhere to the priest.

So, Kiora, is it safe to go back on the other side of the wall, or is everything on fire?

"You can't stay here commander, it's too dangerous. We'll try to get you out of here as soon as possible." Irabeth says, right after grunting in relief upon seeing Ary make her way to her side.

Then, with a hand, she reaches for the half-elf shoulder, and lays a soothing hand on one of the woman's many wounds. Golden and red light appear, slowly closing it.

"I've got more." she continues, sheathing her sword and digging into her back for a healing potion.

lay on hands: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) = 7

Irabeth had known that the spell might not work, so she had already formed a plan.
"Ser Markus, how long before the first demon is summoned?" she calls to the wizard.

"Captains, prepare to lead your troops through as soon as the wall disappears. Cavalry first! Irabeth yells over the troops. "We must defeat the summoners before they finish their ritual."

With the wounded stabilized, and little in the way of cultists rising up to fight within the crater, Irabeth momentarily turns towards the center of the encampment. From the sound of battle coming from over the many tents blocking her view, she quickly realises that with the weight of her armor it will take her too long to reach the battle. So, she goes to get her horse.

Boring round, sorry, I was waiting to see what would happen during the round of the army, to see whether a fight would start int he crater and then I had to go teach for a few hours.

"Right." Irabeth simply answers to Sosiel, while she gets ready.

There is only slight hesitation, and maybe a sigh, between the time the cultist wounded start to stir, and the time when Irabeth finishes them off.

Thus, with a series of quick trusts, Irabeth strikes the cultists who regain consciousness, starting with the armored ones.

attack1 wounded (prayer,power attack): 1d20 + 11 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 1 - 2 = 21
dg cold iron (prayer, power attack): 1d8 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 4 = 21
attack1 wounded (prayer,power attack): 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 1 - 2 = 20
dg cold iron (prayer, power attack): 1d8 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 4 = 17

full attack

Worse case scenario, Irabeth can stay alone with the armored cultists and take care of the channelling to save the group of fallen soldiers. Taht way, Sosiel doesn't have to spend an action channeling.

Actually, worse case scenario, we call the retreat and hope for the Hezrou's to be to lazy to pursue the army.

Out of curiosity, why did the cavalry exit the camp, could they not have simply gone directly for the summoning circle?

With the commander dead, and Nurah's opportune demoralizing call, Irabeth decides that there is little more for the troops to do here; the five armored culstists, she could take care of them with Sosiel's and Annabelle's helpo.

"Commander Bishop, you have to head toward the cultist and lead the troops to disrupt the summoning. I'll stay here Annabelle and Sosiel to make sure the armored cultists don't attack your rear." she says, hustling toward the armored cultists.

Move actions to get as close to the armored cultists as possible. Would it take long for the infantry to finish off the fallen cultiststs so that we can use channel without waking the enemy?

So, what's the ACA, when I google it, I get Association of Candaians : achivists, announcers, and so on. So, I am sure that's not what you are refering to.

On a sidenote, here in Canada, the prime minister can be removed from office if there is a vote of non-confidence. Is it also possible in the states? How complex is the process?

"Commander, we need to end the ritual, send the cavalry away to puncture the protective perimeter with a charge! Captain Cobelen and Caelda, be ready to move on the commander's order!" Irabeth calls out to Ary and the commanding officers.

Then, decided to fully demoralize the opposing force, the paladin makes her way to the enemy commander, sword lifted. When in range, she again imbues her sword witth the holy power of her goddess, and with one quick motion she strikes the alchemist.

attack(prayer, power attack, smite): 1d20 + 11 + 1 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 11 + 1 - 2 + 3 = 16
attack(prayer, power attack, smite): 1d8 + 9 + 4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 4 + 7 = 21
is rally still on? because I would totally reroll the 3

Irabeth is immune to disease, so the spores should not be affecting her! woohoo!

With one swipe of her hand, Irabeth brushes off the dying remnants of the spores which landed on her face.

"What's that stench?" she calls out to Aron when she notices him shaking from across the vrock's dying body.

Then, seeing the vines on the engineer, she makes her to him, fending off a few of the surrounding cultists.
"There, in my knapsack, there are vials of water, take them and spread the liquid over the spores." she turns sideways and lifts of shield, presenting the aforementioned sack to Aron.

Once all said and done, Irabeth whistles toward her horse, beckoning it to come to her.

Hearing Vhane’s name only strengthen Irabeth’s resolve. She readies her shield to walk into the Vrock’ area of control, and, with Ary’s direction, quickly closes the gap between herself and the demon. There, facing the creature’s waist, she prepares to strike, her sword lifted high and gleaming with holy energy. Momentarily interrupted by the creatures screech, Irabeth grits her teeth, and with resolve shakes of the pain, and brings down her sword on the monster.

”There won’t be an escape, for him or YOU!” she calls over the sound of battle as she strikes ”Now!” she finishes, her voice directed at Aron, but her gaze fully on the vrock.
10’ move with ary’s ability, 5’ step, full attack!

I am confused, what causes the AoO? I thought 15' should be out of its reach. no?

Irabeth grits her oversized teeth when droplets of the fiery acid splash her face, neck, and arm. However, the adrenaline rush induced by entering the fray quickly makes her forget the pain.

Parrying trusting, fighting through the cultist foes, the paladin's attention is drawn by a screech. The vrock. Hopefully the only one. Pushing away the strike of and enemy cultist, she pushes her mount forward, but knowing the fright demon cause in animals, she elects to dismount.

After taking a few more steps forward, bringing her within 15' of the vrock, Irabeth readies her shield and sword, and takes up the demon's challenge with a yell:
"Here demon!"

Irabeth follows her answer concentrating her faith into her sword and selft, embuing them with the righteous of the Inheritor.

Move mount, move action dismount, move action get closer to Vrock, swift action for smite.

possible action:

Hadn't seen this one coming. If the dispel works, and the commander falls, Irabeh will move in to finish off the commander. Does she need to unmount to strike a prone foe?

Irabeth sighs under her breath, slightly furrowing her brow. Annabelle had broken her position and endangered herself needlessly. Now, there was little they could do without endangering Ary.
Automate Irabeth to stay in front of the army, unless Ary makes a move to charge with Annabelle. Also, I never got an answer to the question about the Vrock, can we suppose that we see the back of the army well enough to know whether it is there or not? Also, can our characters still see cultists manning the barricade or are they all heading toward the entrance?

After lifting a hand over her eyes to protect them from the flash of the explosion, Irabeth draws her sword, and in response to Ary's answers lifts it high above her head.

"For Victory, For the Heart!" she says, bringing he sword down and spurring her horse to move forward.

Irabeth will stay just a few feet (10) in front of the troops. Also, should we consider that there are enough people on the lookout that if the Vrock teleports behind the army, it will be noticed?

With a timely jolt on the reins of her mount, Irabeth avoids it being hit by a crossbow bolt. While the enemies are reloading, she turns toward Ary.

"Commander, with the Vrok having left, now would be the best time to ride forward. Ser Markus are you ready?"

hold action until Ary takes the decision.

I hope you get better quickly Kiora!

Addendum to Kiora's summary: mounted paladins focuse on Vrock. If they can't engange, they have time to retreat from the area of its dance or ruin before it is completed. Infantry won't have that time.

I agree with Markus about leaving the supplies far behind, maybe with like 20 infantry.

I disagree with the army being spread, if they are in a column, appearing to ready an attack in one spot, it will make the enemy congregate in that spot, at which point Markus can cast his spell in that group of enemies, hitting as many as possible.

I support Markus blinding the enemies rather than staying by the wagon. Aron and Sosiel might be the best ones to leave behind, if we leave any of the commanding officers behind.

I am kinda of confused as to which plan we are going for... before choosing all the details, I think we should pick one general course of action, mine or Ary's and then answer your questions Kiora... So where does the vote stand for (I am going for mine right now).

Irabeth's glad to hear Markus state his stance on raising the dead. Still, the troops might not be as understanding. So, she simply nods in approval.

"Setting up the catapults will probably attract the Vrock's attention too, just like our supplies. Placing them together would require less soldiers to watch over."

As usual, I will suggest another plan of action, although I do thing Ary’s one is pretty good. Except that I still think that the paladin cavalry, armed with bows, show follow her… or at least 10 of them if not the whole group.

-Bring army to within 140” of one of the entrances of the camp, with the mounted paladins with bows in their hands and to the side of the troops.
-Wait while their troops start to amass at the entrance. If the vrock attacks, take the opportunity to attack it (either with the horse riders or other archers).
-If no vrock shows up, Markus, mounts a horse and goes with the paladin cavalry to within 40 ft of the entrance. Casts his spell. If the Vrock then starts his dance, the paladins can fire on it. Once the spell is cast and the Vrock seems disrupted (or engages), the infantry charges toward the blinded soldiers closing the entrance to the camp.
[ooc]-With their increased mobility the cavalier troop goes around the camp (leftward) and attacks a spot that is less protected

-Once the Vrock is not problematic anymore, the paladin cavalry around the camp (rightward) and attacks a spot that is less protected.
[ooc]-While this goes on, Markus sends his wasps to the summoning circles to kill as many spell casters as possible.

-There are no catapults in this plan, and Wenduag stays with the supplies (somewhere that the Vrock cannot see/far).

Irabeth waves her hand sideways, making it clear that her suggestion was missunderstond.
"I meant that we must have a way to quickly get to the Vrock to stop it from completing a full dance. That's probably what our troops need to fear the most from the creature. Captain Cobelen and her crusaders would be perfect for harrassing it. They wield the Inheritors strenght with them, and might still be able to invoke her blessing to counter the Vrock's spores. However, that would mean pulling them away from the attack on the flanks." the paladin finishes, turning toward Ary.

I know horseback archery sucks, but they can simply stop their mounts and then shoot, which should avoid any penalties.

"When it comes to bombarding them, we should consider that they might simply come at us when they see us. Though that might be a poor strategy, it might still happen. So, I suggest we set our troops in position for a direct attack. And only if they do not budge, to use the catapults to try and move them out of position."

When the subject of raising the dead to cover their retreat comes up, Irabeth visibly stiffens.
"I am not sure it would be well received by our troops... in last resort maybe. Commander?" she looks toward Ary, pretty sure her commander will be agreeing with Markus, but she needed to make the mind of the troops known.

"Also, if a retreat does come up, where should we try to assemble again?"

Upon hearing that they will concentrate their efforts on the half empty camp instead of Silvershore, Irabeth's first thoughts go to her wife.
"My little fox is with them, I am sure she'll have their backs." she answers, to support Ary's opinion, and strengthen her own faith in the heroes.

She then listens to Ary's plan, taking note of what she'll need to watch for during the battle, and on the details of the logistic. However, there is one thing that Ary says which attracks her mind.
"Alright commander, our presence should distract the enemy's troups enough for the wasps to ruin the ritual. However, you'll need support to take care of the vrock quickly and before it can use its special ability. I was thinking of a small contingent of cavalry."

Would irabeth actually call Anevia by her name when mentioning her to others? Or refer to her as her wife?

I agree, it's nice.

Also, now that silvershore is seemingly safe, I wanted to say it was a pretty cool part of the story. I especially like the cultists that were capture, specifically how they all have really different reasons to be there. As usual, well done Kiora!
