I just want to know one thing, why did this happen?

I am a patient man, and I can wait for my physical copy of the playtest to arrive, but I want to know the details why and how this happened, all of them.

rage powers turns off.

Okay, why? Saying they do does not make it so. What is your reasoning?

I don't believe that the Calm Stance turns off rage powers. As Rage itself is an Extraordinary Ability with a set of bonuses and drawbacks. The Calm Stance itself mentions not taking the drawbacks from Rage, like the AC penalty or the restrictions on actions that can be taken. The benefits from Rage can then be assumed to be "+2 bonus on melee attack rolls, melee damage rolls, thrown weapon damage rolls, and Will saving throws" for the Unchained Barbarian.

Additionally, the Rage power Perfect Clarity can only be used while in the calm stance. Perfect Clarity (Ex): While in the calm stance, the barbarian can roll twice for any miss chances or Will saving throws to disbelieve illusions, taking the better result. A barbarian must have the calm stance rage power to select this rage power.

Most, if not all, rage stance powers have similar tie-ins. Like needing to be in the Accurate Stance before Deadly Accuracy can be used. Rage powers that do not require a stance to work should still function even while in the Calm Stance.
