Gave up on Zelda.
Never got past opening Sky Island.
Can't get to 2nd Shrine and can't find 3rd - Or can't find 2nd and can't reach 3rd until I complete 2nd.
Anyway, D4 is more fun to play than Zelda.
I may take a break from D4 and try Baldur's Gate for a while.

Played this weekend.
There was an update.
Now I can't retake Fortresses.
Tried with both my characters, one eternal and the other seasonal.
Before update it could take a few tries, but I eventually accomplished it.
After update, I cant even make it to the final boss without dying.
There are now more higher level enemies to fight and less potions being dropped.
Speaking of boss fight, is there a way to defeat the Butcher?
He keeps showing up during dungeons and killing my @$$ and I can barely damage him and all the elites that show up with him.
Finally learned to just run away and he eventually goes back to Hell.
Also, why are minions tougher than the elites they follow?
Finally, why do treasure goblins always lead me to 20-30 elite and minions that I can't get through?
Not sure how many I have encountered so far, maybe 7 or 8, but I have only been able to take down 1.

I never saw any of the movies, but I loved the TV movies in the early 70's.
It was too bad there were only 7 episodes.
It was part of a weekly movie combo like Columbo, McCloud and McMillian and Wife - alternating between different characters.
Unfortunately, the show it was partnered with (according to IMDb) sucked and lead to its early demise.
I didn't even remember the other show.

My sorcerer uses both fire and ice.
Hitting them with fire then ice seems to take them down pretty quick.
I like how the flames reduce the bodies to skeletons or totally disintegrates them if they don't have a skeletal structure (even if I hit them with ice afterwards they still burn).

Signed on last night and an update started downloading immediately.
Took several minutes.
Knew they were updating to Season 2.
Just for fun, I started a new character (Sorcerer) and thought I would check it out.
After I hit click to start, it took several minutes before I finally got to the intro.
After the intro I was in a town.
I walked a few steps and saw a merchant and decided to check out his wares.
That was when the glitches started.
First, while I was walking I suddenly froze; after about 5 seconds my character suddenly skipped ahead to where I would have been at a normal walk.
Second, my character started walking backwards; not changing directions, actually moonwalking.
Finally when I got to the merchant I clicked to interact with him; I got his speech, but before he opened his wares I started moonwalking again.
After several tries and the same thing happening, I decided to give up and just play my rogue.
BTW - I'm playing my rogue on non-seasonal mode.
Couple of changes.
First, every shop now has your stash chest; that way you don't have to lug things everywhere when you want to use items.
Second, I had to transfer everything in my chest (which turns out was a season 1 chest) into the season 2 chest because the first time I opened the chest I got a notice that said if I didn't transfer my stuff it would disappear forever because the season 1 chest was going inactive.
All I had to do was click the item and it would automatically transfer.

Came upon a Flash Event yesterday that had already started.
The foes of a player who was already there were immaterial to me.
Couldn't touch them.

I loved his early LSH artwork, but his writing and art for the 5 years later reboot wasn't to my liking.
I didn't like the plot at all.
I'm glad the art was toned down for JLI.

Got notified Season 1 was ending soon, and Season 2 would start.
D4 has only been out 4 months.
Can't they wait until the beginning of the year?
Not that I care since I'm not doing Multi-Player.
Observation: When exploring a dungeon, solo players don't interact with each other.
I was exploring the Asylum and another player came in.
He was fighting, but none of them were my foes.

Been having trouble clearing dungeons lately.
Can't kill the bosses and there are too many elite minions that I can't kill them fast enough and die.
Finally figured out that once you get over level 10 you need special special attacks in order to clear dungeons.
So I'm going to kill everything in the dungeon then leave before the boss fight so I can level up and put points into special attacks.
I'll come back later and fight the whole dungeon again.

Had a flash mob event last night.
This was the second time for the same event.
Had to protect a caravan from the undead.
The first time I played it solo, there were 2 carts I had to protect.
This time, another player was also involved.
There were 3 carts and many more undead to fight.
The other player was a higher level than me, but it didn't look like they had an advantage over me.
We both killed about the same number of undead and took about the same number of blow to kill it (critical hits not withstanding).
After it was over and the chest appeared, the other player looted it at the same time I did.
I didn't loose a single item.
Looks like they had their own chest to loot.
Looks like D4 is running on multiple levels at the same time for different level players, and if they are teamed up or not.
That is some sophisticated programming.
Hat off to Blizzard.
BTW - Finally figured out the cheer. Didn't realize there were other wheels.

Finally started playing this weekend.
I chose to play the Rogue.
Played 2 sessions and hit level 11.
Walked into 2 dungeons and a few mini-dungeons.
Completed a couple of side quests.
A quest that is giving me troubles is I am supposed to cheer on some NPC Recruits.
I cant interact with them, so I can't cheer them on.
This is not a straight forward quest.
Have run across some other players.
I like solo playing, so I'm probably not going to interact.
One time I was out following a path and was passed by another player.
It was a while before I faced any monsters again.
Did they steal my XP?

I don't think 722 individual sandwiches lined up next to each other should count as a world record.

Noticed something about D2 when I was setting up a second character (hoping a tank may not die too easily).
The default setting is with the Lord of Terror expansion, you have to click an icon to play it pre-expansion.
This may make it easier.
For one thing, it is lighter and you can see your surroundings better.
I never played the expansion, so it being deadlier may be normal.

I grew up watching the show.
I was 9 when it first aired.
For me, the show went off the air when Bob retired.
He will be missed.

Decided to finally start playing Diablo IV.
I did not have my current laptop when I played Diablo III, and never loaded it on to it, so I had to install Battle.net first.
I was about to purchase D4 when I saw Diablo II: Resurrected.
Yay!, I like D2 better than D3.
Having limited funds, I purchased D2 and set out.
I think D2: Resurrected to deadlier than the original.
For Mission 3 you have to go thru the underground cave to advance.
SIX TIMES I died in that blasted cave.
This is only Act 1, I don't think I died more than 10 times in all acts last time.
(Of course that was back in the 90's, so I may be misremembering.)
Still, I am having fun.
Also, you can play D2 Online or Offline, but you have to have separate Online and Offline characters.

Personally, I think it has been hyped up too much nowadays.
While not the first multi-issue story arc, it was a mini epic that lead to sagas like Crisis On Infinite Earths for DC and Secret Wars for Marvel.
That eventually lead to the Trade Paperback industry, which made more money for the publishers.
Now, all stories are a minimum of 6 issues so they can re-print them in trade paperbacks, sometimes even 1 month after the story ended.
The problem is that many of them are 40-50 pages of story material and 80+ pages of "filler".
