And speaking of the old Birds of Prey TV show, the evil blonde lady you see in the trailer is a villain called Alice (of the "Alice in Wonderland" gang, so I wonder if she is a successor to Mad Hatter) and is played by Rachel Skarsten, who played Dinah in the old BoP show.

I thought she might be White Rabbit from the comics.

Episode 8, however, is where things get underwhelming. Apparently, the Resistance base wasn't the only base we saw, but the only base, period. They evacuate in the only three ships they have, period. And by the end of the movie, the Resistance's entire list of military assets is the Millenium Falcon and its personnel, across the entire galaxy, has been reduced to the Falcon's standing room only. And while we're not similarly told that the First Order fleet pursuing them has all of the ships the First Order possesses, one tends to judge a combatant by their opposition. Three ships' worth of Resistance assets is apparently a challenge for the First Order, so how underwhelming must they be?

Actually, Leia asked for help from other resistance leaders but they didn't come.

Dark Empire and Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Force came out at the same time in 1991.
They were the first new Star Wars book since 1983 and first comic since 1986.

Dark Empire was the first time the Emperor had clones.

Been a while since I read this thread, so I am commenting on things posted weeks ago.

The name:
I checked IMDb, and they are calling him Captain Shazam. That is stupid.
His name is Captain Marvel. He won't be able to say his name without turning back into Billy. The only one who has that problem is Captain Marvel Jr. (aka Freddie Freeman).

As for not using the name Captain Marvel, it is perfectly legal to use it as the name of the character. The only thing DC can't do is publish any book (or movie) as Captain Marvel.
Also, many DC and Marvel characters have the same name. It is allowable.

From the previews, it looks like Billy/Captain Marvel is an idiot. I don't like that. He is supposed to have:
S - The wisdom of Solomon
H - The strength of Hercules
A - The stamina of Atlas
Z - The power of Zeus
A - The courage of Achilles
M - The speed of Mercury.

DQ...
In pre-historic times, the Celestials came to Earth and genetically modified cavemen.
The Eternals were modified with intelligence and powers.
The Deviants were modified with intelligence and a mutating gene that made everyone different.
While the third group was thought to have been left alone, they were instead given the ability to adapt. This gave rise to mutants and anyone who received super powers from external sources (like Cosmic Rays and Irradiated Spider Bites).
Later, the Kree came to Earth and modified more humans in imitation of the Celestials and created the Inhumans.

It was his artwork in the "Stainless Steel Rat" comic adaption that made me want to read the books. (I had heard of the books but never bothered to read them until then.)
I really liked his rendering of Angelina.
