Male Tengu Shaman 5

Guys, I'm sorry but I need to drop out. Work is getting crazy and I don't have the time to address this properly.
Feel free to NPC him or whatever.

Have fun ya'll!

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Meeting back with the others...

"OK. This is what I found..." he sketches a quick layout of the inside of the warehouse.
"It's really more of a shed to house a boat in. There were several Goliath dockworkers, around six, but more importantly, theres a ship in there. I saw a guy wearing glowing armor, leading a person by rope. That person was robed, had a sack over their head and hands, and was manacled at the wirsts and ankles. There was another short bald guy that was wearing a black robe and had glowing blue eyes...
They led him on board. I did not see anyone armed except for the one in armor."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Will take a quick head count of armed folks (are the goliath dock workers armed/armored?) and he'll swim back out and head back to the group.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

He'll slip back into the water, and sit under the docks, listening to the dock workers, hoping to hear any kind of useful info.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Perception:
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Stealth:
1d20 + 3 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 20 = 30

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak will go down to the waters edge, a ways a way from the warehouses, cast Animal Aspect: Otter, then swim up to the warehouses and take a peek. Hopefully I can get an invis (depending on how long it lasts)

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"A raven carrying a grappling hook trailing a knotted rope is hard to miss, and near impossible to carry and fly with."

He only has a STR of 2, and has to be only light encumbered or he can't fly at all.

he turns over Sure Chuck a little extra information doesn't hurt anyway

He nods, and sends Jake off to find a place that he can cast and slip into the water without much scrutiny...

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"Do you want a better look at the water entrance? I can cast a spell that lets me move through water like an otter. Coupled with invisibility, I should be able to check that out, maybe get a peek inside?"

Knowledge Arcana DC 17

Spell info:
Otter: Your hands and feet gain webbing, and your lungs gain capacity, allowing you to move through the water with ease. You gain a Swim speed equal to half your speed, and all the benefits of having a swim speed. Additionally, you can hold your breath for 4 rounds per point of Constitution before being forced to make Constitution checks to keep holding your breath.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"No problem, per se...just that we don't know how many guards are on the inside, and Silence is not a spell the spirits grant me."

I can pick from a small selection in the Shaman spell list, and the Druid list.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

When the raven returns...
"OH. Really?"
He turns to the others.
"Jake says that there are four large humans on the roof of the warehouse, and there is a trap door that leads down."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

For now, the raven is scouting ahead, letting Chak-Chak know what's in front of him. Are there any buildings near the warehouse less guarded and higher up that one could glide to the roof of the warehouse from?

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"Very well."

He gets ready to head out, setting his raven to keep a look out ahead of and above them.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"Am I in team scout in this instance?"

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Looks again, and nods.
"Deception. I think they hope to catch folks too interested in the warehouse."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak nods along with the explanation of the mission plan.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak will use the same persona he had at the inn, and will choose a plain looking human disguise for the throw away. He'll practice both everyday so he can get it right at a moment's notice.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"No, I cannot make anyone invisible, but I can make them more agile, stronger, more hearty, smarter, wiser, or more outgoing. I can bless and curse, I can harm and heal, to name a few."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"Yes, if only to differentiate them from arcane spells. They don't come from a god or gods, but the spells share many of the same characteristics of divine granted spells."

Don't know much about shaman, what spell can you cast? and No Gadget we are not setting up the warehouse to be burned. It will be located in a town/city and we do want to avoid a search and pursue party after our snatch and grab job.

"Umm. I commune with the spirits and gain them daily. How much do you know about spells? I can cast things that will aid us, things that will hamper the enemy. I really don;t know how to get more specific than that unless you have something in mind...?"

of course Drak all plans needs to be adjusted to the situation we find. In fact i might need to reword the teams also. he turns toward the tengu I know what the others can do but i don't know anything about your skills and abilities, would you mind telling ?

"Not at all. I am a shaman. I speak with spirits and they lend me thier power. I can heal or harm by way of spell and curses..."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Eats his meal, finishes up, and pays his bill, and heads back to camp.

"Umm. I learned one of the waitresses is an aspiring actress. This may be exploited to gain eyes and ears in the tavern. Also learned that the trapper Kurat made himself look like has a bad reputation, that maybe something that can be exploited later as well."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak watches the room empty, and the quiet ones head up the stairs. He watches them, not bothering to be discreet about it. After they leave, Chak-Chak eats his dinner in peace.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

I know. :)

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"Well played then, Miss." He raises his cup in a salute to her skill.
Not missing the implication that Kurat beats girls, he watches to see if anyone goes after him.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Breathes a sigh of relief and watches Kurat the trapper go.

"You do this...often?" he calls out to the maid that people are throwing money at.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"This should be interesting", he thinks to himself.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 Is she faking?

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chuckles at the exchange, then facepalms at the outburst

Chak-Chak, it seems that she is attracted to you.

He will chortle at the realization, but isn't interested in anything without feathers... He patiently awaits his lunch, and takes a look around the room, looking for the others.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak cocks his head to the side in a very bird-like manner, confused about the waitress' behavior.

Sense Motive:
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak has left Jake with the camp. That way, he can alert him if there's a problem, and he doesn't become a target for bored archers in the outpost...

Chak-Chak looks around and takes an empty table, closest to the bar. he will wait for a bar maid to order his meal.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Updated!

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak just nods and heads to the waystation. When challenged:

Common:
"I'm here for a bed and a warm meal, and resupply for travel."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

You can use the new guy as the guinea pig if you want, I don't mind

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Bah forgot the -2 only a 29 then

Chak-Chak looks like a run o the mill human...no distinctive features, plain in every way possible. Average height, brown hair, brown eyes, etc.

"Thanks!"

Male Tengu Shaman 5

When Chak-Chak awakes, he is groggy and uncharacteristicly quiet and sad for most of the day.
I'll be adding Disguise

Disguise 1d20 + 6 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 10 = 31
"How do I look?" he asks the others.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

DM:

Will save 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-chak watches the others set up camp, then sets up in an out of the way place. He sets out his bedroll, and beings quietly chatting to his raven, and...others that aren't visible. He seems to be introducing a new guy to the others...

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"OK, sounds good."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Was I supposed to start at 5th, or will I be a level behind?
I'm ok with either.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Simply nods, then leaves the tent, waiting for the others outside.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Thanks, Vrog.

That's really cool! I know I'll be hitting a certain sorc up for some mage armor :P

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Just so I understand these items:
The knuckle allows 3 total spirits at this time. I main, and 2 wandering.

The robe will allow both spells on it at once, or just one or the other?

Male Tengu Shaman 5
Vrog Skyreaver wrote:

to Chak-Chak, Greel says "The knuckle bone is from a necromancer who was quite famous in certain circles. As it has been explained to me, his spirit still lingers and offers advice to the wearer. As for the robe, that's an arcane defenders robe. It is somewhat armored, and will accept any and all magic spells that increase armor concurrently."

The knucklebone will give you the bones wandering spirit, in addition to any other wandering spirit you might choose to take. The robe has a +4 armor bonus, which is designed to stack with both the mage armor and magic vestment spells (but only those two spells).

"Oh! A necromancer...I shall listen to any words of advice his spirit may have. This robe is better than heavy armor! These will be put to good use, thank you, Captain." He also listens with interest in what his new companions received as well, sharing in their enjoyment.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Chak-Chak accepts the bag with thanks, and begins poking through it, nodding at each one the captain names...he immediately takes out the hat of diguise, and replaces his straw hat with it, making it look like a straw hat, with almost giddy chuckles. When he runs accross the other 2 items, he gives the captian a quizzical look...

"This is nice (the bone knuckle) and this robe. Do they have special properties like the other things in the bag? If so what are they?"

He's kind of naive in a way. He doesn't care if anyone else knows about them.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Take care!

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"Um. But I'm not green...?" He says to Grieth.

"Well met, all. I hope I'm the asset your team needs."

To the captain:
"My name is Chak-Chak, sir. Chak-Chak Aiko...but most call me Chak, or Aiko...or..." he notices the look on the captain's face. "...ermm, yeah. Yes I have all of my belongings. I was told to pack light, Captin. I guess I'll wait out here, then." he smiles. It's obvious he is oblivious to military ettiquette.

Male Tengu Shaman 5

Looks around, absently scratching his head.
"Umm. Hello, I am Chak-Chak."

Male Tengu Shaman 5

"Sent, ma'am. Was told to report to captain?"
