As they head back to the camp Cenae takes some time to talk to their Aspis guide. "Hey, so you saw what happened to your group. You almost died there... or worse. If needed we could probably get you set up with a new identity or tickets somewhere. But I really just think you should at least consider a new occupation." Cenae finishes her travel and death preparations on Wyrn’s body. She looks up with a thought, ”Perhaps we could also destroy the stones that we leave behind? Grog is pretty strong and could smash them. Might weaken or destroy their effect.” I would love to add a Glyph of Warding tomorrow to add extra prevention in addition to our collapse plans, but don’t have the diamond dust. But tomorrow can definitely prepare the stoneshape and a gentle repose for Wyrn.

I adjusted Cenae to the spot she would have approached the fight from last turn. Cenae casts a spell and then dives under to reach down and tap Grog’s shoulder, before pulling out her scimitar. Cast Freedom of Movement on Grog. The spell allows the subject to move and attack normally while underwater, even with slashing weapons such as axes and swords or with bludgeoning weapons such as flails, hammers, and maces, provided that the weapon is wielded in the hand rather than hurled.

If red doesn’t die to the fireball, this movement provokes. Cenae ignores the foe next to her and swims forward. She speaks towards the darkness, ”A poor tactic. She collects the ring and searches the body, looking for anything useful and any other identifying options. She makes sure the body does not fit the description given for their undercover operative. Khellek’s headband of Int appears to grant Climb as one of its two freebie skills, so you should have eight ranks in it. Cenae also has -1 climb and Numair is -2. It’s likely that the fly spell may get used a lot though if we have to do climbing. The cleric adds, ”It would be nice to have feather fall or fly usable. My only way to solve that problem is to heal you after you go splat.” She thinks a moment and then asks, ”Speaking of injuries, I can use magic to track conditions and health. But only on two of you. Grog is an obvious choice for the first one, which of the other of you would like to be divinely monitored?”

Cenae accepts the explanation of the items and suggests, "Perhaps I could have one of the climbing bracelets? It is a skill I lack." Khellek and Grog seem to be our best climbers, so maybe Numair and Cenae get the 'rings' of climbing? As the group discusses destroying or removing the stones she pipes up with her thoughts, "Ask them, 'If we capture those responsible for murdering your clanmate, do you wish to have us bring them back for justice?'"

What other dangers may we face in the Mwangi Expanse, other than angry Aspis Agents? And how will we get there?”

Cenae evokes a short blessing in Kelish, basically wishing the light of Sarenrae to burn away the darkness around the gnome. She subtly takes the note and reads it when no one is watching. When the waitress returns with her appetizer, the priest requests her meal to be packed to go. Finishing her wine and breaded cheese snack, she pays and collects the food. Stopping by upstairs she grabs her pack and returns to the front desk, letting the clerk know if she doesn’t come back tonight they can rent her room out tomorrow. With that settled, Cenae Eohe heads to the start of her next mission at the Wench. Probably. Or a trap. Which is also probable.

As usual, Cenae (see-nay) is relaxing at an outdoor table waiting for her meal to arrive. The Quadiran woman recalls her day was pretty normal one, for where she is staying. Wake up, complete her prayers and meditations, select a variety of useful spells and then get some food. The Inn she is staying at is decent, but nowhere near the opulence back home. Then again, she isn’t back home for several good reasons. She sips her wine and waits for the appetizer. Something new tonight, a breaded and fried cheese with a tomato based sauce.
