Celad offers a polite half-bow as he accepts the letter. "I am happy to oblige, Count Orlundo." Performing a textbook about-face, he will make his way to the gallery, looking for Senator Duo. He will use his badge to notify Lady Martella accordingly.
Ah, that is good to know. I assumed that if I went to talk with her as opposed to doing something else that it would consume my action for that round. So thanks for clarifying.
Celad leaves the group, heading for the Archives. He exchanges nods and greetings with various people as he walks, his pace quick, but not alarmingly so. Upon arrival at the Archives, he looks around for Count Orlundo. Upon spying the man, he approaches. With a polite bow, he says, "Count Orlundo, a message for you." and extends the letter. "If you wish to send a reply, I will wait and deliver it, sir."
I have no issue with that.
Celad steps forward, offering a polite nod. "I believe that will be me, Lady Martella. I am ready whenever you are."
Celad avoids the bees and manages to safely thread his way through the exodus. He looks around to see if there is anyone in immediate need of a healer. Once order seems to be restored, he makes his way to the gallery. Upon arrival, he nods in polite greeting to everyone, looking everyone over, including Lady Martella, to see if anyone was injured in the crush. If all looks to be in order and no one seems injured, he will assume a position of parade rest and turn his attention to Martella.
Celad makes his way to the courtyard, arriving just as the princess begins to speak. He remains quiet, listening to her. She says the right things. We'll see in time if she truly means them.
Celad continues to talk and mingle, making polite comments about various battles and strategies, the training regimen of the troops, and so on. All of his comments have the underlying theme of, "The High Strategos is worthy of admiration, and very good at what he does."

Celad, in noble dress, his armor gleaming and holy symbol prominently displayed, remained quiet as they proceed through the inspection and make their way inside. Once in, he nods to the others, and heads for the Arcade of Triumphs, nodding in greeting to the troopers as he passes. He does not immediately approach the High Strategos, but instead spends some time looking at the various displays, making small talk with the guards or anyone else who seems interested. As he finally makes his way over near the High Strategos, he will attempt to catch the man's eye, and offer a polite salute, fist to heart. "Good evening, High Strategos Pythareus. I am Celad, a servant of the Inheritor. This is quite a display." He smiles and gestures at the exhibits.
Apologies for any delay. I was in hospital for a few days with penumonia. I was released this morning, and will get caught up as soon as I can. :)

Oh, and I should specify that he will NOT be dressing in colors associated with House Karthis, etc. lest anyone think he's trying to emphasize his assocation with them.
Celad quietly observes the others as they chat. He smiles at various comments here and there, but does not interject. After a time, he says, "Please pardon me. I need to see to my preparations. May the Inheritor guide and protect you all. If you have need of me before the event, I can be found via the Shrine of Iomedae." Offering a polite nod, he leaves.
Celad will go in full 'uniform'. Noble clothing, spit-shined breastplate, longsword, holy symbol on full display. But he will not bring his shield or his mace/dagger.
Celad gives a polite nod to Lady Martella. "I will see you at the Gala, Lady Martella." He looks to the others. "Fare you all well. If I can be of any assistance, do let me know."
Celad thought about the names, to see if any of them seemed familiar.

Celad watched Lady Martella as she spoke, focusing his will to determine evil intent. When she finished speaking, he stood. "Lady Martella, I would be glad to lend my aid to a noble cause, for the betterment of our home. That said, I freely admit that I have no skill at subterfuge or subtlety, and no regrets about that fact. I am a soldier, in service to Iomedae. I will not take pains to conceal that fact, or do anything else to stain my honor, or Hers. How would you bid me help?" he asked, his tone and expression respectful.
Celad offers a polite nod to Martella in return. "I am Celad, a paladin in service to Iomedae. I am also a member of House Karthis, though I currently have little to do with them since I refused to act as a show pony on their behalf." He looks at Martella, then around at the others. "Lady Martella, you are well met, as are all of you. I am prepared to listen to what you have to say, and to help if I can, so long as it is understood that my duty is first and foremost to the Inheritor, always." Upon saying this, he nods again, and takes a seat in a position where he can see the door and as much of the room as possible.
Celad makes his way to the meeting at the requested time, in full arms and armor, his holy symbol on display. He smiles and greets people along the way. Arriving at the cafe, he enters, looking around for Lady Lotheed.
Celad looks at the note in his hands, and the map that came with it, his expression thoughtful. We seem to want the same things. But, is she trying to use my status as a paladin? Even if she is, so long as I follow where Iomedae leads, does it matter? We are supposed to be beacons of hope, and lights in the darkness. Hm. I will go, and at least hear her out. |
