hey guys, sorry for the delay. i was in a bike accident monday afternoon and my left arm/hand are mostly out of commission for about 2 weeks. typing is a fairly laborious process and writing is out of the question as i am left handed. i hate to take a break from a pbp i'm running because i know how these things can lose momentum pretty fast, but as it is i don't think i will be able to keep up very well with this and the other games that i am in. i will keep you all up to date on my recovery and i hope we can get moving with part II once i am in better condition. sorry guys :(
Thanks for letting us know Mike. Hope you feel better. I had to take a break for carpel tunnel a few months ago, so I feel your pain.
I'll be lurking, so just post when you are ready and I'll see it.
"Well Garbako, it appears that Malgri has spared your life too. Let us hope that nothing regarding your health changes. Tell us what you know about the halfling and his companion."
Rheed manages to discover a hidden alcove that no prior explorers were able to find. It seems to contain an "offering" bowl of sorts. Inside the bowl are seven ancient gold coins- however, they are likely much more valuable than the mere value of the gold used to make them. Appraise, anyone?
Dardin is still waiting near the trap where you originally found him. "Well?" he asks, "I am assuming you were successful... and I heard no sounds of battle. You must have done what Kaeviel could not!"
He inspects the map and note when you show them to him. "Hmm... I don't think this is any sort of "Pathfinder" secret code, but I have seen Kaeviel use it from time to time to take down notes about things. He is always very thorough about this sort of thing. If only we could understand what it says, I feel we would have a better idea where he went! What is your plan?"
Ceer looks over Rheeds shoulder and examines the coins.
"Well, now that that's settled...perhaps Dardin can shed some more light on the map."
"We also passed by a couple of passages before we came to this room. Perhaps we should check out those before we leave this place. Perhaps there are clues left behind."
Wow Ceer, I hadn't even considered that combo. That would be some uber reach with Corvus from the Enlarge spell. And Entangle is really spiffy. Not sleep good, but really good...
Yeah, I think it would work with either Corvus or you. I think Corvus' rage power came to mind when I typed that.
I forgot about your craft feat. So what were you going to craft for yourself?
Shrugs... dunno that is kinda why I opened it up. I would craft an Headband of INT and other such goodies, but I think I need Fox's Cunning...
Mike? What are the absolute requirements to craft?
Would I be able to craft a Headband of Vast INT by increasing the DC by 5?
Or what about a pearl of power?
I don't think I have enough for a headband, but a Cloak of Resistance +1 would be nice. That would cost 500 gp, right?
I just updated Ceer. I receive Entangle as a bonus spell and I selected Enlarge Person. I wish I could use it on Bwenge to make him into a Big kitty :)
Now I've got invisibility (the spell), I'm sure Rheed will be enjoying that! :)
A note to all: As we've been traveling, you have probably noticed Ku'ada tinkering. It seems that encounters with the construct have opened up some new avenue of creation for him, and he is now creating minor magical objects. If there is any minor wondrous item that your character has been wanting, feel free to approach Ku'ada. As we have been traveling together and gotten to know one another better, he will probably only ask that you defray his costs.
I forgot about your craft feat. So what were you going to craft for yourself?
"Well done, Ku'ada!" Ceer says as he slaps him on the back.
"Don't look too glum Corvus. Hey, maybe we there is a shield down there for you! Let's go look!", he says as he starts down the stairs after snapping his fingers to dismiss the grease.
Ku'ada, you should be the one to read this. We can set a trap for it...in case the command doesn't work. I could make the area at the top of the stairs greasy and then we draw the creature up here. If the Ku'ada's command doesn't work, then we might be able to knock it down with the grease.
There might be clues to Tamika's whereabouts in those bags.
Of course, Rheed could always go back and try to bring back the bags...but that might create too much noise and leave him alone with the creature.
Ku'ada would probably head a little closer since everyone else has moved up as well... He has no light source. With low-light vision, how far can I see in to move the illusion?
Feeling better?
"Psst..Ku'ada...what about that spell that creates torch light?"
Don't you have Dancing Lights? Sorry for the metagaming :)
