I'm... not entirely sure. I've never really... how to say... spoken to a specific deity. I sort of always speak to all of the goodly ones. And none of them. Though.. I'm sure I could figure it out if need be. Though, I doubt it would be something easily accomplished. I recall it being something one had to time properly, and I don't know the proper timing at the moment. Cedric says, looking over the item.

know. religion: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

Cedric sighs, it would certainly have been better to confront the man at the lodge. However, they had had nothing real to pin on him at the time.

Cedric however does not wish to risk entering the cloud, and is firm in his belief that his allies are likely much better suited to handle their foe.

sorry, I've been rather strained for posting time since the start of the year. I thought I had made a post, however it seems to have been eaten.

A crossbow bolt flies over Jack's head as he finishes and he sees a smirk on Cedric as he comes up the steps before letting a wave of golden light extend to everyone.

Cedric smiles and sighs.

That settles that then. Cedric reloads and fires his crossbow again.

I think it would fit well. Either being on board for jacks antics, or completely "why me, are you kidding me plz no". Both are fun.

Fact- We need damage as well. As it stands, Lazar is our only consistent damage until jack can manages to make a will save XD. Cedric is pure support when not fighting undead or chaotic evil people. (save one or two spells, like his celestial tiger, but those are saved usually for more dire situations)

The way is already in the temple. I am sure of it. Why must we not enter? We seek to help, or do you believe your new soon to be chief of clans won his duel honorably?

Cedric places himself between Maria and Jack, he raises his crossbow and lets fly a bolt.

Cedric follows behind the others, having learned to rely on them in a pinch, since he was not the most powerful of combatants.

110ft, sticking between Maria and the others.

Yes.. best to keep a smaller space, so as not to get encircled and overwhelmed by numbers.. Cedric helps Jack along as they head towards the building.

Cedric releases a wave of golden healing light.

channel: 6d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 1, 1, 3, 6, 1) + 10 = 27

Good news and bad news Jack. Bad news, I'm afraid you have been cursed. What the curse is, well, I figure you know. Good news, I can probably fix your problem. Bad news, it likely won't be until tomorrow. Uhh... bad news, when is the next full moon? He asks the others around him.

He would also cast Status On Jack, Gadren, and Lazar.

Cedric will move to Gadren and Jack.

Gadren, help them combat the beast. I'll see to tending to Jack.

He kneels down and starts trying to determine what is wrong with the fellow.

Character wise, Cedric would vote morning, after having better time to prepare, and we are unsure of when we will get a chance to rest in relative safety again. OOC wise I don't have a large preference as I still have plenty of spell power, even if I am limited.

M Aasimar Appearance when casting/channeling Cleric 7 HP:58/58 | AC: 12 T:12 FF: 10 | FortL +9 Ref:+6 Will:+11| Init:+2| Perception: +15/18| Channel 16/16

Cedric makes sure all the visitors are gathered and casts enhanced diplomacy before making a small speech.

Good people, I ask that you all work together to keep each other safe in the coming days until our return. Lock up tight, and keep watch during the night. One of you should claim the mantle of leadership until further help can be given. I worry that this lodge may be caught up in the trouble that is brewing in these woods. He pauses a moment.

I hope, with our quest, this area will be forgotten, left alone, but it may not be... I can Consecrate an area for you, if the worst should happen, it will give you at least some aid. I wish I had more time, to do it properly and make it permanent, however I cannot. But the best protection you have, is each other. Look to your neighbor, if you have a grievance, ask yourself, is it truly worth troubling over? Surely it can be forgiven? When you each work as a foundation of a community, nothing can knock it down. Be a light of hope to one another, a shield in the night. I beseech thee, keep each other safe. Keep each other smiling, for that is, in my experience, one of the greatest weapons against any darkness.

diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 14 + 2 = 31 +17 vs good alignment, and +17 vs "evil" alignment due to attempting to get them to go against their nature.

He then would, if allowed, cast consecrate on/in the largest building. If there is a way to make it last longer (as in, rule of cool/rule bending as I don't have extend spell) he would do it.

After that, he would sigh, and give a nod to the party to lead on.

Cedric looks over the journal.

I think, it would be foolish to follow blindly. We must first quell unrest here in the lodge. Make it clear that Estovion is no longer to be trusted or allowed to operate things here. While his notes don't seem to demonstrate a love to the way, the fact he willingly works with them is reason enough. We should have those here board up and prepare as one would with a siege. It may be worth trying to find and meet with one of the werewolf packs here, particularly the ones that fought the way before. If there are any of them alive. Or, we can make haste for these ruins at dawn's first light.

M Aasimar Appearance when casting/channeling Cleric 7 HP:58/58 | AC: 12 T:12 FF: 10 | FortL +9 Ref:+6 Will:+11| Init:+2| Perception: +15/18| Channel 16/16

yes, I did, its why I didn't specify :3. wasn't sure if it would hurt the thing or not, but usually ghostly appirations that possess people would be either undead, chaotic evil outsider, worships a CE deity OR has light sensitivity haha. I know what my next action is though, nows a perfect time for that communal protection from evil.

We must also be careful not to make assumptions. Its likely whoever did this was forced to. Here, before we leave, is anyone injured? Also, give me a moment to prepare.

I know wizards can take less time to prepare slots they did not ready, but do clerics get that luxury? Or are we stuck praying for an hour every-time we want to ready an open spell slot?

lesser resto.: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Cedric channels a bit more healing light into the bite on Maria, and soon the green in the veins near the bit fades back to normal.

also- After seeing the grimace from the bite, Cedric channels energy into his hand, before moving up to place it on maria. It flows into her and helps ease the pain of the poison.

restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 3, brings you to a total of 6 restored. So after one you should be fine :P.

Cedric looks around, I just hope no one else was hurt during the attempt on our lives. If so, I would like to find them. Quickly.

I can turn channel energy into lesser restoration SLAs, at a rate of 2 per lesser restoration cast. I have 13 left today. so I can cast 4 lesser resto's and still rock 5 channels remaining. If you have a way to stop the venom in the next couple rounds without Maria making the save, go for it. I did heal 3 of the strength damage she took already. I can get a lot more than healing/damage out of my channels, take a look at the spoiler to get a brief run down. I know I have to check it constantly to remember haha. :P

Cedric gives a smile and things for a moment before responding. I can heal the damage that venom does to an extent, as you saw during the fight. The main question is how well Maria resisted the spiders venom.

archetype channel shenanigans:

Versatile Healing Channel (Sp)

At 5th level, the angelfire apostle can spend two uses of his channel energy ability to cast remove blindness/deafness or lesser restoration as a spell-like ability.

At 7th level, he can choose remove disease or remove paralysis.

At 9th level, he can choose neutralize poison.

At 11th level, he can choose breath of life.

At 13th level, he can choose heal.

At 15th level, he can choose regenerate.

At 17th level, he can choose restoration but cannot affect permanent negative levels.

At 19th level, he can choose resurrection but can affect only a target that has been dead no more than 1 round per his cleric level.

and

At 3rd level, when a blossoming light channels energy to harm undead, her channeled energy also harms chaotic evil outsiders, worshipers of chaotic evil deities, and evil creatures with light sensitivity or light blindness as if they were undead.

At 7th level, when a blossoming light channels energy, she can expend an additional use to fill the affected area with bright light (as per daylight) for a number of rounds equal to her cleric level.

At 10th level, a blossoming light can use atonement once per day as a spell-like ability, but only to offer redemption to others (as per the spell). Using the spell in this way does not require a focus or material component.

Well, if we need something... unscrupulous done, I think sir Ryder would be more than qualified for the job. If we could find something that would incriminate our less than forthcoming host that would make matters here easier. After that, the only real clues are... a noble in Caliphas,"the Stairs of the Moon", and "the packlord’s heart". Both of the latter sound like they have something to do with the packs of werewolves in the forest. And I'd wager our host knows.

Cedric shrugs as I said, I prefer to not use the spell without the subject agreeing to it. That said, we probably shouldn't split off alone, if two go to the library, that leaves three others to talk to the three knights. And I don't think any more than two should approach one of the knights. As they would likely be suspicious of that. I admit at being better with people than books... even if I am a bit too candid in some peoples opinions. And Jack seems quite good with wordplay so he should meet with the knights... Maria. You have the ability to sense evil, or an ill aura from people don't you? I think the three of us would be best suited to knights. Though if you wanted to help Gadren that works too. I'm sure more eyes would make finding the information quicker, if not easier.

While I would rather avoid it, I do have a spell that will tell me if the person we are questioning is lying. We would need to tell them and ask for their consent, then it would be simple, as they would not attempt to resist the spell. The hard part would be convincing them to accept the request. Cedric offers his thoughts to the others.
