Guys...

I hate to do this but I think I have to bow out of this game.

The game always had a fast pace right from the beginning and it has always been a little tough for me to keep up. But lately work has been heating up and on top of the pace I am having less time available for PbP gaming. So I go through my games and find that I have more and more catching up to do on this one.

Gems don't lose their value in sale and weigh a lot less than gold, so they are worth keeping as our "cash" rather than keeping the coins.

When the group reaches Zelkor's ferry, Catarya turns to the rest of them.

"Tank you for bringing back tese remains. A proper burial is important to te rest for te spirit. I will arrange a burial here."

Catarya heads into town to see if she can hire some gravediggers.

I can prepare gentle repose, sanctify corpse, and consecrate, though none of these are permanent. Hallow would do the trick permanently but is a 4th level spell. I need to be 10th level to cast that.

She presses a hand on her wounds, and there is a brief glow. Then she stands up.

Standard action to cast cure moderate and then burn a point of fervor to cast it again as a swift action. Move action to stand.

Cure 1: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (2, 8) + 6 = 16
Cure 2: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12

Now at 30 HP.

The fear thing would have been good to know before I prepared spells, but it's a little late now.

Catarya darts forward, trying to stay out of the reach of the skeletal creature as she closes in.

Because of haste my move is 60' so this is 1/2 move.
If this fails my AC against an AoO will be 22 (due to haste).

"Pharasma condemns you!" she shouts, and her eyes and spiral tattoo flash.

Yeah, I think this is a good time to smite evil.

She stabs at the creature with her dagger...

Damage bonuses: +3 divine favor, +6 smite evil, +2 piranha strike. Total = +11. Don't think I can get Sneak Attack here.

Fighting defensively and haste makes my AC 26.

Okay, so we rested. I was only down a few spells anyhow, I think. Did anyone need healing before we rested?

I see an undead guy and two birds on the map. Is that our new undead "ally?" (forgot his name)

Catarya steps up beside Zadira. She murmurs a few words and her spiral tattoo seems to flash with light for a moment.

Casting divine favor before we go in.

"Alright, ready," Catarya says as she holds her daggers before her.

Simon: most of us were designed with disabling traps in mind. Zadira is our best trapfinder I think, though she is fairly squishy. Kayla is also good. I have a +13 perception but don't have trapfinding.

Already know the result but I will do detect evil as well.

"Not alife?" she looks Vance up and down. "How did you come to be tis way?" she asks. "If you wish to be restored to life you cannot be undead. Te curse of undeat must be remofed first."

She turns back to Vuzi. "Tere is necromancy and ten tere is necromancy. As long as you do not do magic to animate te dead, necromancy in itself is not bad. But animating te dead is an abomination to te Lady of Grafes."

Sorry, guys. Been pretty exhausted this weekend. Still getting over the tail end of the cold.

The whole point though behind hide from undead was that once cast we would only have to worry about the shadows that failed the save and ignore the ones that could not perceive us.

"Tat was scary. Not too much you can do against your own shadow."

Catarya casts a spell on Grelthe, trying to ease her injuries.

It just occurred to me that if you were building all this stuff, it would be pretty expensive to bind dimension door over and over again... then it occurred to me that having the illusion of teleportation would be much cheaper. :)

BTW I was down 27 HP. Healing from rest gives back 6. I had 3 first-level spells left, so:

I have some 1st level spells for healing to bring myself back up to full. But I am also diseased. When we go up a level I will also be able to cast remove disease.

Grelthe: Don't forget you need to make a Caster Level check when you try to remove disease.

The main point there is that a Bard can't cast spells in medium or heavy armor. But a Skald can cast in medium armor (though not heavy).

I think the choice of Skald over Bard has to do with armor proficiency issues. The performance is less useful though.
