Cassandra slams the gargoyles with her AOE Channel Energy ability, attempting to harm them (assuming they have an evil alignment). Channel Damage DC 19: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10 Unless these gargoyles are somehow outsiders, they take half damage from this channel

Ah true, misread. I can word it to trigger it off the example you suggested, heck, I could even set it to trigger if someone uttered a specific word in Celestial if I wanted. I think using the ability for healing purposes as described above isn't particularly a good idea, since Channel is a notoriously poor way to heal in combat. "Yes Sir, I can have my energy trigger under the condition you describe."

"Something you might not have thought of", Cassandra cuts in, speaking quietly. "Is that I can add a trigger to my channel energy. Which means that, say, if you wanted my channel energy to trigger when you charged something evil...well, I could do that. From a tactical point of view, its possible for us to trigger my channel energy ability multiple times - although this tactic would render my mythic power all but gone for the day" Translation: I can use contingent channel on each and every one of you, effectively allowing us to trigger my Channel Energy (Harming Evil creature), multiple times in the one round for "spike" damage. If anyone has any better ideas on how to utilize the ability feel free to think about it, its only going to get stronger/more useful when I can add feats like Channel Force to it.

"Does anyone want a blessing against Evil then just in case we walk into something?" Cassandra asks, less concerned with demons and more concerned with anything occult that might be lurking in the temple, perhaps created by the energies of the Worldwound.

Cassandra lightly waits for everyone to be in position, and ready for an assault, before triggering her Channel ability, dealing damage to all evil outsiders in the radius. Channel (DC 19 Will to halve): 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3

I'll come with. Remember that Silence has a really limited duration at this level, and I don't have a sense of the distance we have to travel, but I'll cast the spell regardless. Stealth: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Female Aasimar HP 35/35 | AC/T/FF 9/9/9 | CMD 10 | F/R/W +6/+1/+9 | Init -1; PER +7; SM +8 | Cleric 4 / Hierophant 1
I could but would almost prefer not to. Its not that I am unwilling, but more that Cassandra is really terrible at stealth, and it could easily result in losing the element of surprise. So long as she's not in the way, you can bet she will help.

I could cast silence, but would prefer casting it on a moveable object like a rock or something. While holding it you avoid making any noise, but in battle you can throw it so that it wouldn't destroy most of the spell casting we could do. For obvious reason's, id prefer to avoid having a silence spell anywhere in close proximity towards me.

"Just think! We could be your role models Nurah", Cassandra puts in, slightly amused by the idea of Nurah considering Cassandra a role model considering her previous dislike. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 Cassandra easily hears the lie in Nurah's words, but chooses not to press the issue. Yet. Cassandra does however, wonder how Nurah could have remained undetected for so long with an army of Paladins. A suspicion starts to grow in her mind, as Cassandra reviews her channeling options.

I'll surge Arcessentes's Perception check if someone else also does so, but otherwise wouldn't, as it would largely be moot. Cassnadra listens quietly to Sosiel, and while he finds his explanation unlikely, decides not to call him out on it. Sense Motive Sosiel: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 Cassandra, on the other hand, is entirely curious about the whole thing, and slowly walks over, smiling at Aron. "Sosiel...Aron, is everything alright?" she asks, bringing her charm to bear. Can you surge another party members skill check?

"Ah, well if its fighting demons, then if its all the same to you then I might tag along. If I understand things correctly, Nurah might be accompanying you, and it would amuse me greatly if I ended showing her up in battle. Besides, mission like this one? I think you need all the assistance you can get."
Female Aasimar HP 35/35 | AC/T/FF 9/9/9 | CMD 10 | F/R/W +6/+1/+9 | Init -1; PER +7; SM +8 | Cleric 4 / Hierophant 1
Cassandra is the very picture of innocence. "I would assume, to the casual observer that either you two are riding out on some important mission...or you two are riding out to find some privacy, perhaps its both?"
Female Aasimar HP 35/35 | AC/T/FF 9/9/9 | CMD 10 | F/R/W +6/+1/+9 | Init -1; PER +7; SM +8 | Cleric 4 / Hierophant 1
"Ah Nurah, I'd say that its wonderful to see you but then I'd be lying" Cassandra remarks, entirely unconcerned with the halflings outburst. "Why don't you run along now, and I'll pretend that I never heard anything resembling a slight against me, we all know how...touchy Calistrian's can be about this whole revenge thing..." Noting Nurah backing off, Cassandra's smile slips a little wider, before turning back to Reiko. "So you follow a cause to a similar degree that I would, I'm glad we have some things in common. Are you two planning on handling a special mission together or...?"

If you wish, we can do that, the GM just mentioned to me about the above three NPC's possible interactions with my character, and potentially assumed you were still at the Heart, or were talking to such NPCs. Its possible that I and the NPC's both caught up with you as you were mounted or something entirely different occured, and its just me. Cassandra regards the riders thoughtfully. "I see both of you appear to be rather expert riders - I was never very good at riding horses, but I can appreciate the skill when I see it, and both of you seem competent." Cassandra pauses for a moment, before smiling slightly, "So do both of you consider yourselves rogues, or wanderers for want of a better term? Someone that appreciates the freedom that the saddle gives you, well, if true, thats something I, like most Calistrians, fully understand".

Quote: "I wish this could have more pomp and circumstance, but your bravery and service warrant this, and your mission demands the timing. I hereby dub all of thee, Knights of the Fifth Crusade. This is what I'm referring to.

Dear me, I forgot to introduce myself and give an appearance / description, my apologies! Cassandra enters the Heart, and quickly glances around the assembly. As expected, its full of people, but there's only a select group of people currently holding a collection of identical medals, and Cassandra heads straight towards them. Inwardly frowning at how best to introduce herself, Cassandra decides confidence is her best bet and opens her mouth to speak, hijacking the conversation that had started between Sosiel, Nurah, and Aron. "Excuse me" Cassandra responds, with a trace of irritation in her tone, always hating being ignored, "fascinating as it is I'm sure, to meet all three of you (she indicates the three NPCs), but I'm also here to introduce myself to these...knights of the Crusade. My name is Cassandra, although several people have claimed its a little bit of a mouthful, so Cass, or Cassie is also fine." Cassandra considers for a moment, wondering if she should say something along the lines of "Calistria has called me here", but decides that would be too melodramatic. "I understand that each of you recieved some divine gifts, and as someone that gained similar powers, I took it upon myself to meet you all, and perhaps get a clearer understanding about the individuals that recieved the same blessing as I did." Cassandra is a slim aasimar of average height with long black tresses. Her eyes are gold, her skin fair but ivory pale, and she is dressed in the style of a typical calistrian priestess, with a body hugging black and gold outfit.

Story Post (I'll keep it short to prevent a tl;dr) Cassandra had grown up an orphan, living as a ward of the Calistrian temple for as long as she could remember. As she would later learn, her parents had perished in a demon incursion, and an elf had discovered their bodies. No-one was quite sure how Cassandra had survived, but the elf, uncertain as to where to turn, simply passed the child into the care of the prominent elven deity. Cassandra therefore, grew up in an environment where achieving vengeance was very much a supported concept, and her desire to take revenge on the demons that had attacked her family only grew. Cassandra wasn't much of a fighter though, so to begin with, stayed in the temple, assisting patrons, learning secrets, and if she discovered any that might be useful to the Crusades, she would pass them on. Time passed slowly, and eventually the Paladin Irabeth heard tell of the young women passing on gradually more valuable information to the war effort. Inviting the women into her garrison, Cassandra worked alongside a small group of paladins, where she used her channeling abilities to cast aside any demons that threatened them while out on patrol. It was on one such occasion, where out on patrol Cassandra was suddenly struck by a bolt of pure divine energy, carrying her off the ground for a split second. Energy boiled through her, and abilities previously closed off to her, she now found within her reach. Discovering that she was not the only person to suffer similar effects, Cassandra requested Irabeth if she could meet these specific persons that she had heard so much about, and was granted an audience with them, and the Queen, just after Nurah, Aron, and Sosiel had introduced themselves. I have now arrived with the other three NPC's you met |
