Ignoring what people were saying for the time being, Carth reads through the diary pages himself before joining into the conversation,
"We may want to find these brothers that are mentioned as well, probably the pair you were talking too back in the pub Elon. With Paul, or whatever it was pretending to be him, dead, they might be able to answer some questions on what they were doing.
Also, the memory loss is worrying, only in that the creature did not seem to possess any ability to do such a power, or it didn't get a chance to. Either way, we need to start making sure we don't have random areas of our memory which we can't recall."
Carth was about to comment on Elon collapsing, but when Graves says everything will be fine, he turns his attention back to the diary.
"Well, what does the diary say then? And by that, I mean, is there any useful information that we could use to find the other orbs."
Glad to hear that Eliana made it through the night, Carth draws his attention to the items that Graves had retrieved from both Elon and Archaouss before asking,
"And what IS that exactly? Because apparently people haven't been giving everyone all the information they know and I haven't seen that book before, or the pages."
"Well, if you can try and concentrate on Graves first, that's the important one," Carth said, "I don't like how neither he nor Argius responded or even tried to deny what you said about him."
He paused for a moment, yawning before finishing,
"Well, I'm too tired to continue with this day. I need to have a chat with you folks, but that can wait until morning."
He then turns around and heads to his room.
"One thing before we go," Carth says before turning towards Elon, "You said that you detected some sort of evil in Argius? What did you mean exactly?"
I will not be stopping Argius
"Thank you," Carth says to Graves, before heading out of the room. However, instead of heading towards his room, he will wait outside for the others to leave as he needed to talk with them.
"Or that he knew what Graves' reaction would be," Carth replied to Elon, before looking between Argius and Graves,
"So, does one of you want to explain why Argius cannot touch Eliana? And I'd prefer an answer beyond 'because I said so'."
"Krallek, calm down," Carth said calmly, before turning towards Graves, "Why do you not want Argius to touch her? If he is correct, and he is the only one who can heal her, what is stopping you from allowing him?"
Carth raised his crossbow in response to Elon's words and glanced around for whatever Elon had spotted. He doubted he could see something that appeared to be hiding itself with magic, but there was no harm in trying.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Carth ignores Elon's confession, for the moment. That was something for later. Instead, Carth answered Graves.
"From I understand, this creature is Paul. Or at least, it certainly looked like him at one point when he was transforming. And Elon is right when he says its one of the three shadows that that God sent from the vision.
Now, I think Paul was the one that tried to kill Eliana with the burning mill. Now, somehow he found out she had survived, and therefore went to her house to try and finish the job. Which is where we come in and manage to kill him before he could kill her."
He paused for a moment, before continuing,
"Last night, when I mentioned Argiusotherer, you mentioned 'the first infiltrator'. Is this what you meant?" He pointed towards the corpse, "Or did you mean something else, possibly something worse?"
sorry, just putting roles up so things can progres. Real life getting in the way (as it does), but i hopefully will have a proper post up soon

Swearing when he notices the body, he hurries over. When he notices her breathing, he quickly shouts,
"ELON! Get up here! Eliana needs your help!"
As he shouts, he will do what he can, but fears that there isn't a lot he can do.
Heal: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Nodding in agreement, Carth will however, load up another bolt and fire it into the creatures head before hurrying upstairs and into the room which the creature had come from.
Assuming the creature survives Elon's coup de grace, here's the damage of mine. If it hasn't survived, well, Carth was making sure
Damage: 2d10 ⇒ (8, 6) = 14
Dodging out of the way of the creature's bite, Carth quickly loads another bolt, before firing at the creature again.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Roll: 1d10 ⇒ 10
He missed, so I'm going to assume you don't need that Fort roll
Carth will again reload his crossbow and fire again at the creature.
Attack:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage:1d10 ⇒ 4
Dodging out of the way of the creature's attack, Carth reloads his crossbow and fires it again at the creature.

who needs cavalry when you can head shot folk instead
Cursing, Carth fires his crossbow at the creature, hoping that they are not too late.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 10
Seeing the shadow enter the house, Carth mutters an 'Uh oh' to himself, readying his crossbow for combat. He quickly follows the shadow through the doorway, prepared to fire his crossbow at the first threat he sees.
Carth curses as Paul runs off. Carth quickly attempts to follow, but even if he loses him, he already knows where he needs to run to.
"Come On!" he shouts to Elon and Krallek, "We need to save Eliana!"
"Well, following you," Carth said, "You did offer. The real question remains as to why you came to this temple in the first place. Clearly, it has nothing to do with the pub, otherwise you would have ignored us and gone about your business. You haven't given us a straight answer, and you still didn't say how you knew my name, when I never said."
For the record, I haven't got a clue either, mainly because no-one is telling anyone anything. I'm just completely winging it and seeing what happens.
Noting Paul's words now, and with his previous conversation, Carth moves up to but does not pass the doorway.
"So, what you just standing there for?"
If Krallek or Elon tries to pass Carth, he will hold an arm in front of them to stop them.
"See what I mean, waiting for us."
Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
"Or, he knows we're following him and doesn't care," Carth said, attempting to hide the annoyance in his voice, "I think there were a few people in the market who heard you 'sneaking' down here."
Carth again moves forward stealthily again and slightly opens the door Paul went through and tries to see if he can see where he went.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Upon hearing someone, Carth quickly zips up, turns around and starts whistling innocently
Upon hearing Elon and Krallek, he quickly turns his head, puts a finger to his lips and makes a 'shush' noise. Then, quickly but very quietly he says,
"Following Paul. Didn't trust the fact that he left the bar quickly after we started questioning him. Stay here."
Carth then, quickly but quietly moves up to the corner to the corridor and peeks around the corner.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Carth paused for a moment. While waiting for the others was probably the wisest cause of action, Paul was clearly up to something suspicious and probably nothing good.
In the end, Carth quietly walks over to the other door and tries to tell where Paul has gone, leaving the other door leading back to the hall open.
"I've never told you my name," Carth said, "How do you know my name?"
"I doubt your willing to attempt to kill someone inside a temple," Carth begins, "And I doubt you could kill me if you wanted to anyway. As for what I want to know, I am curious as to what you are doing here. When you left the bar, you said it was to sort out the bar for tonight, now you're saying that you left for other business. Makes a person think you have something to hide, especially when you tried to sneak out the back to get away from us."
"When they attempt to sneak out the back to avoid questions, yes, yes I do," Carth replied, "So, what exactly are you doing here? How does a temple help you prepare the bar for tonight?"
"Uh oh," Carth mutters, as he hurries over to the door on the right, leading to the meeting room and opens it, giving up trying to be stealthy in the temple at this point.
Carth continues to follow Paul into the temple, taking his time to make sure he remains hidden from him, while trying to keep up with him.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Eyeing the wet footprints with suspicion, Carth follows them, trying to catch up to whoever had left them, while trying to remain unseen.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
"It looks like you've got this covered," Carth said towards Elon, "I've got something to do."
With that Carth leaves outside the front door, and begins to head around the side of the inn, looking for another entrance, remaining as stealthy as possible.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 (to remain hidden from anyone)
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 (to see anything special)
Carth looks at Elon for a moment, frowning, before turning towards Barry and Kevin, introducing himself and accepting the handshake.
Carth takes a seat nearby, but doesn't say anything yet, content to sit quietly and listen to the conversation.
"You know, its an inn," Carth said, as he walked up to the door, "It's probably open."
In order to prove his point, he opens the door,
"After you."
"I think Paul is the best bet at the moment," Carth says, in between bites, "You seem know where he is at least, whereas this Toby person hasn't been seen since the town kicked him out."
After waking up, Carth sat on his bed for a short while, thinking about what happened. The dream he had was different from the normal one, which was a surprise. He still hadn't decided whether it was a nice surprise or not. Cleaning himself up, and grabbing his gear, he heads downstairs for some breakfast.
Finishing his meal, Carth pauses for a moment before answering,
"Well, first thing's first, name's Carth. As for motivation, all I've been doing these past few years is wandering and exploring. Finally decided I need to do something other than that, needed some sort of purpose, and this Graves thing was the first thing that turned up."
Carth stands up before continuing,
"As for treasures untold... well.... I had the greatest treasure anyone could hope for, but that's a story that is going to remain untold. ...And on that note, I'm gonna head up. See you guys in the moring."
After he finished, Carth heads out of the bar, making sure that he had paid for his meal, and towards the temple to rest for the night.
"Well, either works for me," Carth said, taking another bite from his meal before continuing, "Although, I think some people mentioned something about needing to rest before doing anything else?"
"Also, who is this Toby person?" Carth asks, before taking another bite of his meal.
From what I have read, this is based off something they did before you, me and Galacia joined. I believe it has something to do with the fact that in one of the pages of Sybil's diary that they got/stole, it says he had a weird smile, or something like that, along with some other weird things, thus making it seem like he is the person who kidnapped Eliana.
"Interesting," Carth replies to George, just before he begins to eat the meal that had been delivered. He had been quietly listening to everyone's stories, not making any input apart from the occasional nod of acknowledgement or just sitting drinking his drink.

"Probably a good call," Carth replies to Krallek, "As for small talk, I'm a little rusty, so it could get interesting."
Galacia soons joins them, followed by Velana, followed by the rum. He looks at it suspiciously, and gives it a quick sniff before placing it back down for the time being.
Replying to Galacia, he says,
"Well, everyone always has something to hide, the trick is finding out whether that 'something' is gonna be a problem or not in the long run. As for the situation, way I see it, if what people are saying, and that weird vision thing, has even a shred of truth, we should probably try our best to help.
However, I agree that something isn't right. The fact that people seem to distrust each other isn't exactly a good sign, although I'd like to know where that mistrust came from."
Glancing back at the glass, he mutters "Oh, what the hell..." before taking a rather large gulp. Placing the glass back down, coughing as he does, he says,
"Well, it's not the worst thing I've had, I could probably get used to it."
He pauses for a moment, before adding,
"After the food."
Having noticed most of the group heading down, Carth also heads to the bar. Noticing Krallek by the bar, talking with the bar man and eating, finally notices that he is also quite hungry. Taking a seat next to Krallek, he glances at what Krallek is eating before replying to George,
"Yeh, I'll have whatever he had. Looks quite good."
Having been led to his room, Carth checks it over, seeing what is and isn't there. Moderetly satisfied, he puts his crossbow down next to his bed, while places his bag at the foot of the bed.. Making sure he had a few important things (like money) in his various pockets, he leaves the room, and waits for everyone else to appear.
"I guess I could use a bit of rest before we start trying to save the world and all that," Carth said, shaking his head as he cleared the last of the visions from the orb.
My final choice is a a +1 Heavy Repeating Crossbow of Speed, thanks
I think I would like a +1 Speed Heavy Repeating Crossbow
"What the hell just happened?" Carth asked to no-one in paticular, before turning towards Elon, "What the hell did you do to that damn thing?"
