Carran moves in silence along the roads, blending in with most of the crowd of Alkenstar as he goes along. When Tychi is waved aside, Carran moves slowly after them, intending to listen first to what more news is to be heard.

After that he goes throughout the town to do some shopping, buying more arrows and an efficient quiver or two.

Carran nods in agreement to Tychi's statement. "I'll keep an eye out on those halflings. I'm not sure if they've even arrived yet, seeing as we could use Nike's speed to cross the desert again."

Carran lifts his bow and aims for her, his eyes never twitching.

"If you do anything else but cure him, you'll die on the spot."

Carran looks over at the Luke Rand and approaches slowly, his hands still on his bow and glancing sideways toward Metruni and her companions.

I don't trust her. We'll see if she upholds her end of the bargain. For now let's see if we can Luke back fully.

When he's near the Major, he holds his hand before his eyes, waves a bit to check if his sight has returned at all, then murmurs softly.
"You okay? You think you can walk? Did they say anything interesting to you while you were here?"

Carran says as he moves to untie the Major from his place.

Carran seems to rest easy now against the wall, plucking his bowstring and fidgeting with arrows as the others talk.

Heh, they mostly do the talking, saves me my breath. Also them asking my questions saves me the trouble of doing it.

Carran frowns and raises an eyebrow at Tychi and Nike. He smells the air in front of him deeply and tries to make out any more scents besides from the ones he can see.

After that he looks at the tiefling and starts to converse with her.
"Let you go huh? You should at least tell us your name and the name of your so-called benefactor before we give in to any compassion or demands."

Carran gets close to Nike as well and keeps poised to jump on Nike's back and get away. He keeps his eyes and ears peeled for any signs of either the source of the woman's voice or the source of the hard heels that approach.

Carran takes a 5-foot step back so he has a better aim on whoever is still left standing and unloads a volley of arrows on the group of men before him, focusing on the one that's aboviously hurt the most first.

So are they still ogres/aberrations, only clad in armour? Or are they humans in armour? If they are just humans I only get a +2 bonus, if they are aberrations I still get the +4.

Carran will unload another volley of arrows on his first target, if he goes down he fires at the next obvious target. (nr. 4)

"Alright, one ogre pincushion coming right up."

Carran replies and then procedes to take some arrows out from his quiver and looads the first two on his bow. Then he quickly looks out from cover and fires a single arrow at ogre nr. 2.

Is this still in the same Initiative and can I take a full-round action or do we start again with Surprise actions?

Carran nods to tychi with a slight grin.

"Good work on that spider Tychi, I didn't look forward to getting hit again with a blast. You too Nike. Let's show that two-headed ogre what's what and take him down a notch as well. But first we should take to the shadows again."

Carran will move over into the shadows, back to the corner where the cave turns left and looks around.

Taking 10 on Stealth for a 33 if possible and glance into the 'corridor' where we first saw the spider.

Oh no problem, I was thinking we were still in the previous Initiative as we are sort of in combat still.

Carran will wait till the ogre and spider have both passed him, staying very still and quiet, but when both have passed and got to about 90 feet he takes up his bow and aims for the spider.

Indicated on the map where Carran would retreat to, he'll keep quiet until an ogre or spider comes looking. I think Tychi and Carran will keep to their hit-and-run tactics. Fire then hide in the shadows.

Carran grunts as he's suddenly hit by lightning, but manages to avoid the brunt of the damage done.

"Blast!"

Carran quickly moves away from sight and disappears into the shadows deeper inside the cave.

"Let's get moving Tychi, cats hate rain and they certainly do hate lightning."

Appropriate Stealth check if anyone comes looking.: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (7) + 23 = 30

I reckon there are no small platforms or ridges up against the wall of the cave?

I'm not sure if it has any DR, but I have Clustered shots, so DR only applies once for the total damage.

Carran nods, but points with his arm towards the spider.

"You're right, but that spider might give us some more trouble. Your idea is good, but risky. I'll take up position some 80 feet away from that chokepoint, I'll fire first then you charge in if that ogre still stands. What do we do if that ogre falls to my arrows? Do you charge in regardless or stay put to ambush the next one?"

Heh, I doubt it would be fatal, I could fall three times that distance and still live ^^, besides I've got a natural climb speed and a skill check of 29

Carran looks up and then back at Tychi.

"Well I've got no doubt Luke has been taken up with those lifts, but I've got also no doubt that we will be noticed when we take the lift. I could climb up to scout out the place, but that will take some time."

If Carran finds the tracks lead to the elevator, he'll halt at the lift and look up to see if he could climb the wall.

I assume they are constructs, right?

With that Carran whispers something to Serlek and sets him flying up to where the fight was.

Serlke scouts around flapping his wings or perching upon a high rocky overlook, pecks at his feathers and then returns to Carran, making a soft noise which indicates no enemies present.

Carran pats Serlek on his back and head and feeds him some of the meaty rations he has in his pack.

"Seems everything is secure upstairs, if you're unsure I'll go up and retrieve your whipsword for you. I'll be just a few minutes at most."

Carran will take 10 on Stealth for a total of 33, then return with Tychi's whipsword

Sorry about the radio silence guys, had a weekend off with my girl after a long and intensive week.

Carran nods as Figwidget leads the ohalflings away to relative safety and sighs, knowing all too well that he and Tychi are not in the same situation yet.

"Seems we've gotten ourselves in quite the pickle eh Tychi?" The black catfolk says as the last halfling disappears from sight.
"Next thing to do is saving Luke, but we'd need more information of the surroundings for that as well as where the other ogres are..."

Carran looks to the caves and the multiple shadows that lay across, down here and upstairs.

"You know, I could sneak up and scout ahead when we're ready. Or Serlek could go out and scout, but he might be better used as a Messenger between us two if needed. Now it's just the two, sorry Nike, three of us we will have to take care in how we approach things. The time of brute force is over, now we need tactics."
