Hope it's not too late for me to apply.

Hey Sunny! I remember you from the last S&S recruitment I was in.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Built this guy for a WotR game but he should work fine in Skulls and Shackles.

This character is for WotR, but I'm also up for any APs except RotRL (I plan on running it).

I don't see why not if you feel like you have the time :) We'd be happy to have you!

I'll send you the link, while you think about it...

I can have 2 Roll20s open at different tabs :)

Hey Brayden! I don't know if you remember me but I tried out for your S&S game, so I thought I'd try to join this one. I love RPing in the world of Pathfinder and playing it as well,of course.

I originally was going to make an aasimar cavalier if I ever got in Kingmaker, but I'll submit Carious again for now. If I get a good cavalier concept, I'll submit it instead. If need be, I can write up Carious's backstory soon.

Congrats, Alkyd!

Uggh, the suspense XD. I won't get to know until Sunday evening due to me going somewhere that doesn't have internet access over the weekend. However it goes, the people I've met here are awesome, and if not this game, then maybe we can get together and try to find another.

"Sounds risky, dangerous, and likely ta kill us....I love it!" Carious slams his tankard down with a big smile.

Carious feels his face, "Well, that hopefully goes away. Thank you for the drink, lad. I need something stout. Good thing about serving Cayden, only a few hangovers."

Carious smiles, "It'd be fun to rough up some slavers and take their ship, call it our own, then plunder the evil men o' the sea." He picks up his tankard and examines it, "Who drank all my ale?......Oh,wait,I did."

Carious yawns, "Don't worry, lad. I'm sure we'll find someone who's hirin' for a ship. Also, never sleep on a bar. Rough, hurts yer back."

Urggh, the suspense of the choosing.

Carious is passed out, snoring with his head laid down on the bar.

He suddenly wakens at the sound of the others, "I never layed a hand on ya daughter gov'nor, I swear!" He looks around then, "Well, this is awkward"

"Means my skill with a rapier, lassie"

Night,all! :)

"Aye, lassie, I'd be happy ta show off my fencin' skills."

Well, getting late, so I'll be on for a bit tomorrow but after 5 PM Central, I'll be gone for the weekend.

"Haha, to all the spirits that be, whether invisible, incorporeal, or liquified." He raises his tankard as well.

Travis laughs aloud, the first time he's done so since arriving in Port Peril, at Carious' pun. "Aye, your religion does indeed honor spirits in a real sense."

"That it does, lad, that it does."

Lol, Carious can get serious, but I made him a bit of a comic relief character.

Carious gives a big grin and waves his upside down hand across the bar, "And here is where my religion's spirits lie."

I'll go hide in the dumb joke corner now XD

"Only spirits I know o' are ghosts, spectres, and the like. Incorporeal apparitions that scream and yell at the fact they haven't passed on. Sad,really."

Sorry I'm not contributing much, just dunno what to say.

Carious just listens while taking swigs of ale.

Night, Alkyd. Also, I won't be here tomorrow or during the weekend so trying to get as much RPing done as possible.

"Aye, all of us seem ta have colorful pasts. Then again, we live in a time where gods can die, so hard not ta have strange backgrounds"

"Yes, findin' your family would be a great highlight ta our grand adventures,Travis. Who knows, we might see my kin as well."

"Aye, would've made for good stories of hope for Aroden ta return. At least ya got that and the exploits of Iomedae as good things."

Carious shudders at the mention of Cheliax, "Sorry ya had to grow up in that literal hellhole, lass. Hate that place's religion, their ways. Cheliax used ta be nice from what I hear, until House Thrune got their tainted mitts on the throne."

At the mention of what month it is, Carious frowns a bit, but perks up again, "True, and it was a lovely piece of poetry."

"Great performances, both of ya. Sven fillin' men's hearts with courage, and Alkyd's use of poetry to convey feelin', brings out the emotions in people."

Carious swings his arm slowly to the song about the land of horrors.

Carious takes another swig and begins tapping his foot.

Sorry, had to go somewhere.

Carious looks around at the others, "Ya all be fine people in my book. Hopefully, I will be able ta join ya in your adventures. We would sail the seas, crusaders and bucaneers at the same time, fightin' the evil that sprouts in men an' grows at sea, spreadin' good word and good drink. That sounds like the adventure of a lifetime ta me."

Carious swings his tankard to the song.

"I may have snoozed from too much ale. Happens sometimes. But yes, our heritage influences us ta do good or evil, follow law or pursue chaos. It defines our youth an' our lives"

Doesn't conflict with mine. Carious's backstory is his father trained him in the church. One night as he cleaning up the church brewery, some beggars came along and asked for shelter and nourishment. He provided it. Few days later, glabrezu bursts from the ground and destroys the village. Turns out beggars were Lamashtan cultists nd so he left home to find adventure and slay evil.

"Sounds rough, lass. But we do have to live an' learn as ya said"

Plus you can chalk it up to aasimars sensing each other in a way. :) "Aye, my heart and all o' me wants to do the right thing, although, sometimes the law might not agree"

Yea, I have a Roll20 so if you want me to join, just lemme know and I will message you my email for the invite.

Carious nods, "Aye, that is also true. Bein' an aasimar, I have a natural instinct to do good. Although some o' my kind are not so iclined, sadly."

"Aye, that is true"

Ah ok, so I'll take that as a yes on the feat change.

As for Carious's nature, he's a jokester of sorts, spouting off witty insults and bad puns at his enemies as he fights with his rapier, bow, and spells. He's a jolly sort, but always willing to defend his companions if they're in danger.

"Aye lass, never hurts to have blessed crew members. Maybe Gozreh is on to somethin', although I'm sure the Drunken Hero also had a hand in it," he smirks.

Also, do I need to change Carious's feat then? I got it for his rapier. Also, are we doing traits?

I plan on playing a Dex-based inquisitor with some social skills, for the most part.

Carious turns to Sven, "Quite a few. Some I would prefer not to remember some, but I can say about some demon-slayin' I've done, and the few bar brawls I started."

Carious turns to this new arrival, "Aye, we are a pretty interestin' bunch. As for me, I am Carious Resana, inquisitor of Cayden Cailean, at your service, and I am in these shady parts because life on the high seas sounds like a right good time to me, plus I heard some enemies o' my faith are lurkin' about."

Carious looks at the new arrival, "Ah, another o' my kind. Haven't seen another celestial-blood in quite awhile. It's not private, you may come and take a seat." Carious calls for more ale to be poured in his tankard.

If Ri'el is hiding his celestial features, then just ignore this. I assume he's an aasimar given what you said last night.

And with that, I'm up for more RPing.

Carious hums along, taking a swig of ale.

"Ah, a skald, a fine trade. Always wanted to hear a good skald song."

"Carious Resana, inquisitor of Cayden Cailean, at your service. And I agree with Travis, you are a long ways from the Land of the Linnorm Kings. What brings ya to the Shackles?"

"Farewell, Travis."
