Carious was born as 1 of 3 rare aasimar triplets to two human parents. Their birth was declared a blessing and the small village in Andoran they were born into celebrated. As they grew, the boys found their passions, Roran with his yearning to become a monk, Sarna with her love for brewing ale for the church of Cayden Cailean and mixing potions, and Carious with wanting to become an inquisitor like his father. One rainy day, while staying behind after brewing hours to clean up the church's brewery, Carious heard a knock at the door. He opened it to find 3 cloaked beggars in rags, begging for somewhere to stay. Carious took them to the basement and provide them with nourishment. The beggars stayed for several days afterward. However, they were not mere street rats. They were a small cult dedicated to Lamashtu, Mother of Monsters. One day, they completed a summoning ritual and brought a glabrezu to the Material Plane. It proceeded to devastate the village,burning it to the ground. Carious and his siblings were the only survivors. They wept for their family and friends, but soon went their separate ways. Carious pledged himself as an inquisitor of Cayden Cailean, swearing to kill demons and any other evil crearures and men who would stand in the way of good times.
