"Impressive," Neil comments as he studies the Leviathan.

Captain Robo takes a dive into the deep darkness of the ocean and quickly fires off a shot of nanites at the restrained Leviathan in hopes of dismantling the construct.

Disassembler (Disintegration 12) (Array; DC 27; Check Required (Mechanical), Limited (Machinery); Precise, Reversible, Subtle 2 (unnoticable))

Check Req: Mechanical: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 20 = 30
Disassembler DC 27: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25

"The WayneTech Vari-Beam can replicate a sensation of 'cold', and it is capable of unparalleled precision. It's so cool, Victor Fries would be jealous."
Neil chuckles to himself "Smarts, rugged good looks, and a sense of humor to match. The total package."

An image of the Leviathan becomes visible on the display.
"There. On the sea floor. Manta, do you have a means to wrestle the controls?"

Neil tilts his head slightly, the way a dog would.
"Possibly... let's have a look"
A hologram display appears as a five foot sphere. In the center, the Manta sub. Blue waves emanate from the submarine, signifying the vessel's search efforts.

Neil's eyes begin to glimmer a deep amber color as he leads his own scan. An amber wave overlaps and expands past the blue.

Not sure if Datalink 7 (sense type: mental; Omni-Directional Area; Machine Control, Precise, Rapid 2, Selective) helps in finding anything. I've also got Technology Awareness and Detect Tech 2

"Did I get it? Uh... not quite. I should've given LexCorp more credit."

"Shale, I....You know what, I'm not gonna ask."
Computer to take over Levianthan controls: 10 + 22 = 32

"Do you still have that specimen? We could possibly engineer a biological agent that doesn't kill the host."

"What are we to expect once we're down there? Are these all your forces?"

"Kara, SERIOUSLY" Robo groans.

Captain Robo scans the holo-files first, then the Leviathan.
Looking to gather info on Leviathan's capabilities

"You,helping your sworn enemy? What are you looking to gain from this, Manta?"

*ahem*

Computers: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25 Hero Pointing for Computers: 13 + 22 = 35

Given that his mental speed is x1000, how does that interact with turn actions? Would I be able to attempt to crack that computer system this turn or wait til next?

With missile impact looming, Captain Robo attempts to turn the tides into something a bit more in their favor.
Computers: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (14) + 22 = 36
If successful, he will change the first volley of missiles' target to the sub, and the second will target the leviathan (assuming these things aren't going to obliterate everything in sight)

I'm having a bit of paralysis over what to do and what to spend my two points on. How fast do these missiles travel? I've got datalink out to 200 miles. What I want is to send the missile underwater towards Manta Ray's sub or detonate it way out in the atmosphere. I don't know if that is achievable with Datalink or if it takes another power

The nanites swarm beneath the armored surface of the Leviathan, loosening connections. The monster's armor floats away from its structure, opening several gaps in the armor.

The rules here are really bugging me. Disintegration says that I make a fortitude save or reduce toughness by the disintegrate rank. Objects and things without a Constitution score automatically fail this save. And then make a Toughness save with the new reduced toughness against Damage. So what happens when a construct is immune to Fort saves, which most of them should be. By RAW, it seems like the construct is immune, but it also seems like the power is specifically designed to affect it. Thoughts?

Imagine or Shudder?

Oh.... Hmmm. I completely missed that. I should've probably changed the fort save to a reflex save. I guess disintegrate was meant mainly for organic beings and objects?

I've been jumping between too many different games IRL and I feel I may be missing something. Black Manta attacks for 17 against Robo and Forzare's defense. Robo's is +12, which becomes 22? And Forzare's is +10, which becomes 20?

After a rather expeditious trip to Japan to safely drop off passengers, Captain Robo returns in a golden blaze.
He holds his right hand out and shoots a steady stream of nanites towards the leviathan. A picosecond to dial in the mechanic monstrosity's design, and he forcefully closes his fist.
DC 22 Craft Mechanical Check: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
Disassembler (Disintegration 12): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

If successful, the nanites will pull apart every mechanical piece of the leviathan and leave it hovering, disassembled, in place.

Captain Robo is racing off somewhere around Mach 4 tethering the craft behind him (I'm assuming there are systems in place that won't pulverize them), so is it safe to say he won't act until next turn?

Oh, I like this :-)

"We've got trouble right below us and I can't risk losing anyone else. I'm getting these people out of here."

Craft Mechanical: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (16) + 20 = 36
Full power use of Create Object 12
In mere seconds, nanites swarm about, forming a highly reflective metal aircraft half the size of the plane. A large gangplank slinks out of the vehicle and comes right up to the side of the airplane.

Captain Robo rips off the emergency exit door. "Stay calm! The Justice League is here. Make a single file line and exit quickly into the adjacent aircraft. Once in, take a seat and buckle up!" Understood by all

Once everyone's moved over, he'll escort the vehicle out to safety (South Rheelasia or Japan if possible).
Forgot that Robo has Tech/Machinery Detect 2, so that submarine probably popped up on his radar.

Another complication is that he wants his technologies used for good, so I'd imagine any villain who is interested would probably have it out for him.

Besides his relationship with Kara Luthor and LexCorp, I think Neil's identity as Captain Robo would be public. He was mentored by Cyborg, works as a lead designer for WayneTech, and up until recently was on-call as JLA's go-to tech guy. He probably needs some sort of enemy. Oh! His physical disabilities (nanite constructed prosthetic arm and leg) along with a secret that he hasn't really told anyone (he's paralyzed, but the nanites running through his body solve that issue). Are those enough/worthwhile? I always forget about complications and whenever I do come up with them, I feel like they're BS.

Captain Robo piggyback's on Forzare's teleport, already in motion when he appears outside of the aircraft. He spirals away from the plummeting vehicle to get a better grasp on the damage. Without missing a beat, nanites begin to materialize, rapidly replacing the destroyed pieces.
"Keep it together Forzare! This should help!"

Sorry for the hold up. Neil will be using his Create Object (with precise) to piece the craft back together again, enough so that its passengers won't fly out, and so that it would be easier for Forzare to pilot

Neil saunters into his room, stopping at the threshold to disengage his armor and remove his shoes. The room is incredibly simple. His modestly-sized bed sits dead center of the room. Directly north of the bed, recessed into the walls is a shrine to the Hindu gods. He didn't particularly worship or believe, but he kept the shrine out of respect and admiration of his family. Against the southern wall is a hidden storage compartment for his clothes. That was the way he liked it kept, bare, minimalistic and clean.

After a warm shower, Neil sits down in the common room with a cup of tea and begins checking VICTOR's systems.
"So VIC, how're you feeling after all of that?"

"Hah! After all these years of playing JLA IT guy... It's finally official. I've graduated!"
Neil would probably have access to the Watchtower already, given his minor league status.

I don't even want to imagine what iPhone edition they'll be on in 20 years

"Dr. Torval Freeman-- Justice League records show that Parasite has... Neil stumbles over his words, trying to find a way to put it. "Torval Freeman's consciousness is inside Parasite. Absorbed like the powers he's taken. If you heard two, the second being must've been Rudy Jones, Parasite before all.. this. It's probably best you don't attempt that again without having him...them... within a containment field." Was that concern? For Kara Luthor?

This is using my previous fetch of Parasite's JLA file.

For the time being, Captain Robo cleans up as much of the site as he can using his constructs.

oh damn he called you grey flash.

"Thank you, Commander. Grayson-- we're all good."

A giant robotic arm reaches out and grips Forzare safely. Electra plummets.

"Targets are both down. Everyone all right?"

Captain Robo firmly plants his feet in the ground as the Architect Armor's power begins to shift. "Maneuver Seven!" he yells as he holds his arms out.
Though the suit gives him super-strength, he wouldn't toss Forzare the way Colossus would Wolverine. I imagine Robo swinging Forzare by an arm and a leg, or even by force tendrils. I'll let you hash that part out.

Captain Robo can shift his flight down and super strength up to throw you over towards Electra. There's not much he can do without her wrecking him any way, so I don't mind using my action for that.

"We need to get through her defenses. I might be shielded against her EMP, but her magnetic control over metal would wreak havoc on the architect armor. Forzare, you feel like flying?"

Huzzah! The Architect Armor grants Captain Robo immunity to EMP attacks! Any Intel on Electra from my previous post?

"Oh, great! Electra's up. Screw this."
The Captain's failed plan blows out with the breeze.

86ing the plan. After thinking about it a bit, Captain Robo is a lot like Kara in the way that he's used to controlling. He'd probably get frustrated that he can't control his team the way he would machinery and robots. Additionally, his brain works at an extreme pace, so he's already on to his next idea.

Data blinks into Captain Robo's computer-like mind as he researches Electra.
Online Research: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23
Assessment: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
As he did with Parasite, now with Electra.

I guess consider this part one of my turn. Neil will act once he gains information on Electra and Parasite's condition is resolved.

"Kara! This isn't the time! For the love of-- gah! Just stick to the plan, will you?!"

"Kara, be serious here! Parasite gets to that reactor and we've got more trouble on our hands."

So I'm thinking its a Ranged Paralyze with the Incurable extra and the "Crew Required" and "Distracting" Flaws. I don't know if that would be enough to keep him down but it would be enough to slow him down. Paralyze reads: "You can reduce a targets speed and reaction time. If the targets save fails, the target is slowed and can only take a standard or move action each round (not both). The target takes a -1 penalty on attack rolls, defense, and reflex saves. A slowed target moves at half normal speed. If the save fails by five or more, or a second successful attack, the target is paralyzed. The target gets a new will save each round to overcome the effect, with a +1 bonus per previous save." with "Crew Requiree" , we'd all spend our turn taking the same action, which mechanically is activating the paralyze power. Also, I'm pretty sure this isn't an appropriate use of the create object power (even with precise), so I'll use a hero point if need be.

"It's a giant Shale-powered sound cannon, and hopefully it'll wear Parasite down without feeding him any form of energy. If we're lucky, he'll also hack up his lunch."

We need to coordinate! He's absorbing our physical attacks. Imagine, pull the Goon-Squad back. Shale, I've got an idea!"
Mechanical DC22: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (17) + 20 = 37 Full rank use of my create object!

A swarm of nanites fall into line perfectly to create a massive, questionable machine. A solid base supports an opaque floating ball. Wireless receptors attached to the ball amplify and direct the frequencies created through a cannon.
"Half-siege engine, half-hamster ball, fully ready for use! I call her 'Hang-Over Hayley'. Shale: get inside, and run like hell. We're going for all sorts of frequencies to scramble, disorient and wear Parasite down. Imagine: Use The Force to line up shots while Forzare takes the cockpit and handles the fine aiming. Shudder: distract and draw him away from that reactor. I'll try my best to keep this thing from blowing under Shale's power. And can SOMEONE GET SINTER IN THE LOOP!"
Reminder: Create a commlink that can withstand bio-plasmic entities.

I had to remind myself that this is a comic book game, and I feel that a hair-brained contraption was in order to pull the team together to work as a unit. Now, I'm not sure how to rule this out, but Capt can create 12x50' cubes. I'm looking to have it a comfortable enough size to accommodate Shale, with a cannon that can be manned by Forzare's TK tendrils. Hope this works.

My Round 1 was getting to the scene and saving the technician. Round 2 was gaining Intel on Parasite.

With the rebuild, I took a point in Benefit: Security Clearance (Justice League). With online research, he'll use his computer skill in place of gather info to access JL files regarding Parasite

All right, Parasite. Let's see what we've got.
Online Research vs Parasite: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24
Assessment: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21 Looking to analyze his toughness, reflexes and fortitude
Captain Robo scans Parasite, hoping that the heroes have caught him before he could feed on energy.

I'd imagine his canon powerset is in play, so I'll assume Robo is aware of whatever is on the Wikipedia page for him, and any changes you've made to be recent updates that the Justice League aren't aware of. He relays information gathered to any hero with a commlink, including the Goon-Squad

Let's play this smart and stay out of physical range.

Oh, duh! An action!
Parasite, hand over the technician!"

Craft Mechanical Check DC 22: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29 So I believe that means that I can use 7 ranks of Create Object. I'm not on my PC so I can't pull up the exact dimensions, but it should be enough for what I'm trying to accomplish.

A big robotic arm materializes from what seems like thin air and reaches out for the technician. It attempts to gently carry the poor man towards safety.

Now that he's out of the way, Forzare is free to squish :-)

Director Grayson's ride offers the two some time to catch up-- something they hadn't had the chance to since Dick took up the position. They weren't the closest of friends, but Neil knew he could trust Grayson with his life. Before the vehicle could reach it's destination, Neil excuses himself. "All right Dick, I'll walk the rest of the way. We'll catch up soon. Tell Barb I said hello."

He dives out the rear, allowing a new, much sleeker suit to encapsulate him. Once fully engaged, Neil breaks out of his freefall and travels towards their destination at 10,000 miles per hour. Approaching the rendezvous point. Like Shale said, we're working together, Kara. Emphasis on working. This doesn't mean any more than that. Let's hit Parasite so fast he won't have a chance to get a grip on the situation. Containment's the key."

Neil waves Kara off. "Now is hardly the time to flex your ego, or daddy's wallet, Kara. Dick--Sorry--Director Grayson's ride will do for us all. Your Lackeys can ride in Luthor Luxury, but we're in this together, so we ride together. Save for Shale. He's got a good idea."

"Director Grayson, pleasure to see you again, though I wish it were under better circumstances. What's the sitch in West Virginia?"

"Anyone else get the feeling that we're in over our heads?"

as a player, I felt out of my league. Back to some heroics would be nice

Kara "Imagine" Luthor wrote:

Imagine glances at Captain Robo. [to all:]'Wait, are you saying it's made up of...what are they called...'quarks'? I don't....I can't even contemplate that. It's inconceivable! It's just dense quarks? Did anyone get a chance to see how much it weighs?

And, yes, something like that is probably impervious to any normal, physics based attack.
Neil, since it's constantly remaking itself, would it be possible to install, say, a virus into it? Like the body's cells are vulnerable to a cancer, could his suit be corrupted?'

She has a sweet, sincere smile for Sinter, but for Shale she's all ice and sarcasm. [to all:]'Thank you, Sinter. Wise words to live by. It dawned on me that you all -might- also like a chance to talk with the Big Man, and that were I the -only- one conversing with him, whatever conclusion -I- came to might, possibly, perhaps, maybe, NOT be seen as optimal by the rest of you.
Hence, I thought to make this an open discussion. But your decent is noted. The next time we get a chance to speak with a dimension-subjugating Ultra-powered being, I'll do everything I can to make sure no one else is in on my conversation. =)

Also, if we were going to kill him now, wouldn't it have been easiest with him separated from all his support and surrounded by all of us? I think smart people call that an "ambush". You can look it up. It's in books."

She moves on. [to all:]'What now? Do we report back to Rebel One? We could stay here and mingle with his population to verify his claims?

Captain Robo, can you do a quick scan of the airspace around Mars? How did the attack go?"

"Honestly, it seems that there may be some sort of corruption already in place and that the suit is constantly repairing it. Perhaps there may be a way to not only stop the repair process, but to make it aid in whatever it's trying to fix. How to go about that, though, will take me some time to figure out."

I will leave the airspace scan of Mars up to Tumbler to describe.

"That armor..." Neil turns away from the group and interfaces with the on-board computer manually (not a typical action for someone who could manipulate computers mentally). After a few keystrokes, a holo-projector display opens up, showing a generic atom.

"The atom, as we know it. Composed of protons, electrons, neutrons. Everything we know of is made of atoms. All of you, me, this ship-- all atoms. The Monarch's Nanoweave Armor... I don't even know where to begin with it. Simply put: it defies science, or what we know of it at least. The Nanoweave Armor isn't made of atoms, or at least atoms that consist of the usual components. It seems to be made of the stuff that makes stuff. It's incredible. It seems to be constantly remaking itself. I can't imagine there'd be anything strong enough to make even the smallest of dents. If taking the Monarch down is on the table, I'm not sure if that would be the way."

Don't trust Rebel One...

"What can you tell us about Rebel One? What are his motives and why is he going through all of this trouble?"

I'm so sorry for the hold up. Work's picked up a lot and it leaves me a bit fried.

Robo extends a hand to greet The Monarch. "Neil Raval, code name Captain Robo. I'm an inventor by trade. Your society is simply breathtaking. As Imagine said, many of our researchers have come to negative conclusions regarding high-density life like this. To see it work positively is truly a marvel. What genuinely catches my eye though is the integration of technology. Your society is seamless, technologically speaking. All systems run in unison, perfectly coordinated. That is more than impressive."

Using a hero point to power stunt this ability. I'm not 100% sure I made it right, but I think you get the point. Robo makes physical contact with The Monarch and then finds out info about his armor and maybe even a peek under the hood. If successful, I'd like the information PM'd to me >:)
