Marbles gets escorted in with a bandage on his head. Well that was exciting and crazy! Looks like I missed the fun. Just as everything started to go to hell I got knocked out by a smoke grenade someone threw right at my head! After being filled in on the bank account and the belief that the ship they saw signs of is still somewhere around, Marbles gets a gleam in his eyes. He strokes his experimental weapon, happy to have it back and agrees Oh, yes. We would most certainly be happy to bring these culprits down.

As Marbles wonders around watching his serial Through his custom rig and data jack he comes across Professor Euiuyou and Ulkhat bend over a crystalline growth. He politely pauses his show as they call him over expecting to be completely bored.

He downloads the entire series of Sanctuary Moon into the tech in his brain so he won’t be bored, straps his new gear on, Fun, yeah. his eyes gloss over slightly as episode 1 starts playing and he follows the rest to the shuttle.

My groups first reaction was "how do we calm him down?" Sent him back with the agricultural group after fixing their issue though because they didn't trust him to hold it together if they went up the mountain with him.

Role play potential is what you make it really. the group I'm playing in had a character's brother in with the prison escapees in book 1. The group I'm GMing had one of the players wanting to be from a space station so they ended up being from Spacedock Prime - 1 (that might have been evil of me). The interactions with the refugees rely heavily on the GM interjecting personality into them. No the books don't hold your hand and give you a script for every minor conversation but the trip from Suskillon takes minimum 3, maximum 9 days. enough time for you to build up some dialog and RP moments, maybe even make a permanent pen pall out of one of them or something if you wish. It just depends on how much a GM is willing to do some extra work besides read the text block the AP gives you. I would also heavily encourage RP moments between the players themselves. A big part of most war movies that this AP emulates is the relationship between the soldiers themselves more than relationships between the soldiers and outside world.

Also those skill checks are for background information typically, not important must have info. Typically I find a way to work the info in later on if it’s cool info like the background of the major or something I want them to know.

It seems like a pretty clear with the last quote that they act as basic boosters and inhibitors, unless otherwise stated in the field of study booster/inhibitor description, the only way to combine them is with the level 3 spark of ingenuity for studious biohackers.

Typically GMs tend to adjust hp or number of creatures for a fluctuating number of people at the table. AP’s are designed around 4 person party. The easiest thing to do would be to bump hp, probably 10ish or less (it is a level 1-2 book) hit points for a table of 6. Adding more creatures can put a disproportionate strain on the melee/front line characters in my opinion.
