You can take the surprise round action now, if you'd like. Everything ok Davi?

Nothing's wrong, just got horribly behind in just about everything.

Male Human Warlock 4

Okay, I don't have a good excuse for not posting in the surprise round, no good reason at all.

Canas moves back into the tower.

Double move to G13.

Male Human Warlock 4

"Now we just wait for Latro to tell us if it's clear." Canas looks past Kava, hoping for some sign of the combat's beginning.

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas stays near Kava, waiting for the signal. H5

Male Human Warlock 4

"Everyone, be careful, there are more goblins in here. I'm beginning to miss the undead, personally."

Male Human Warlock 4

"Archibald, go take a look up there, would you?" The owl nods and flies up to the top of the tower.

Perception, I assume, but should you roll it in this case?

Male Human Warlock 4

"A shame, really. If they were only peaceful, this all could of been averted." Canas shakes his head and follows Latro into the farmhouse.

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas dashes to the rear of the group and unleashes an unending cacophony against the last goblin.

Move to O17 and use Clarion Call on D2(vs Fort, deafened and 3 temp HP if it hits) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 213d4 + 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4, 2, 1) + (7) + 5 = 19

Smart Goblin Boss - he would have taken sanction damage AS WELL. Canas we should talk about using my divine sanction and your curses to pull OAs and double damage enemies as a tactic.

Why do you think I risked running far enough to trigger Shadow Walk?

Also, congratulations on the job!

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas fires a bolt of flames at the first goblin then runs over to distract it.

Hellish Rebuke on GU(vs Reflex, 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Fire damage if I get hit by an attack, and remember cursed enemies take 1 damage if they attack me), then move to S16, triggering an OA from GU: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 161d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas runs away from the goblins and twists the luck of their leader in ways damaging to the soul itself.

Move to S12 and use Fortune Binding on GU(vs Fort, Psychic damage): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 242d8 + 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3, 3) + (7) + 7 = 20

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas steps to the side and fires another blast at the wolf.

Shift to S15, curse GU(I assume I can because it's the same distance as the other near-by enemies), then use Eldritch Blast on BS(vs Reflex, -2 attack from Prone): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 191d10 + 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + (8) + 5 = 19

Male Human Warlock 4

I went to R15, not S15. I don't want to be bull rushed right into the pit.

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas steps away from the pit's edge and fires a bolt of flame at the wolf.

Shift to R15, then curse BS and use Hellish Rebuke on it, including Prime Shot:(vs Reflex, 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Fire damage if it attacks me next turn) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 131d6 + 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + (5) + 5 = 13

Male Human Warlock 4

Yep. Asked me to reenter my password then said the page didn't exist.

Male Human Warlock 4

"So, this is how you're going to do this. Why must everyone always insist on violence?" Canas calmly walks past the pit and focuses his gaze on the goblins in the doorway.

Move to S14, curse D1, then use Eyes of The Vestige on D1(vs Will, extra curse goes to D2 and an ally who hits him before my next turn can roll a saving throw): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 181d6 + 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + (5) + 5 = 12

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas walks beside Kava. "Greetings! Forgive our friends, we just haven't had very many encounters with goblins that didn't end with them stabbing us! No offense meant, of course."

Male Human Warlock 4

..."Oh, alright, I'll leave the possessed skull with Valthruun. You know what your problem is, don't you? No sense of adventure, none at all." *whoo* "Oh be quiet."

Male Human Warlock 4

"So, this contains the spirit of an ancient demon worshiper? Interesting?" Canas taps the skull with his knife when the owl hoots. "Oh relax, it's not like it's going to possess me." *whoo* "Why? Well for one the King would rip whatever remains of it's soul to shreds." *whoo* "Oh, there's just no reasoning with you, is there?"

Male Human Warlock 4

Ghetto's internet is down, so this game is on hold.

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas nods in agreement.

Male Human Warlock 4

"Captain Faringray! What happened here, if you don't mind my asking?"

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas practices arcane gestures, making sure his gauntlets won't interfere with his magic. Satisfied, he begins to pack his belongings. "Tarjin is more likely to find us than we are to find him whether or not we search for him. I say we return to town now."

"Also, would any of you happen to want my old gloves? I would keep them, but I doubt they would work properly with the gauntlets on anyway."

A pair of Gloves of Piercing for whoever wants them, otherwise I'll just sell them back in town.

Male Human Warlock 4
Ghetto DM wrote:
Also, you'll be able to take an extended rest and.... level up!!

Done. Took Killing Curse(Curse damage is d8 instead of d6) for my feat. As for the loot, I'll take the gauntlets since I'm the only one with an actual fire attack. A'loran, you want the Gloves of Piercing that forgot to record on my sheet? (Let's you ignore resist resistances up to 10 as a daily) Also, found a few errors with my defenses when I plugged Canas into the CB, so that's all fixed.

Male Human Warlock 4

"Yes, at the very least we could take a rest topside. Also, it would be a fair bet that he was planning on looting the bodies in the tombs and reanimating the bodies."

Male Human Warlock 4

"She died fighting off goblins, didn't she? I doubt there was anyone around to entomb her body anyway."

"Yes, it does make sense that this could be consecrated to Kord, although I assume it wasn't meant as a simple altar. Rulf, do we have your permission to break the seal in search of further knowledge?"

Male Human Warlock 4

Spending 3 healing surges if we're taking a short rest.

Canas walks over to the sarcophagi, apparently forgetting his brush with death. "Well, this is interesting. The last monuments to a mighty pair of heroes..." Canas investigates the coffins closely, his owl perching on his shoulder. (Where was he during the fight? You don't remember it in the fight, but you never saw it leave...)

History, what do I know about the sarcophagi? 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Canas is dazed, so he only gets the move action.

Sorry, missed the last few posts on the last page. Down to 4 HP, if anyone's interested.

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas soon appears on the main platform and sends a bolt of flames at the necromancer.

Use Ethereal Stride to teleport to H7 and use Hellish Rebuke on VF (vs Reflex, 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 more fire damage if he attacks me on his next turn): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 141d6 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (3) = 14

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas stumbles to his feet and up the stairs, ignoring the fact that he was just laying in a pool of his own blood.

Stand up and move to J4, then curse JF.

Male Human Warlock 4

Thanks to Rulf running across the room to heal me which isn't showing up on the map for some reason, I'm now just bloodied instead of dying.

Actually, I should be at -8.
I had you at 12 and then you took 14. Not that it matters with healing starting at 0, but where did I mess up?

Short answer, I thought the OA from the zombie hit, my mistake.

Male Human Warlock 4

"Everyone, press forward! The day is almost won..." The arrow juts from Canas' shoulder, and- On a hilltop, a man stands victorious over his foe, but not without cost. His sons lay dead in the field below, his armor is in ruins and the blade that is his right has been shattered. Still, his nation has survived one more day, and that is good enough for him. His grip on the hilt of his sword finally loosens, and as the sun's first morning rays come over the horizon, the man collapses to the ground, dead. -his blade falls to the ground moments before he does, blood dripping down the stairs.

Actually, I should be at -8.

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas stumbles up the stairs and fires another bolt at the zombie.

Move to P1(provoking an OA), curse Z3, then use Eldritch Blast(vs Reflex): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 251d10 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas dares another run out from behind the corner and attempts to force his way into the skeleton's mind.

Move to S1, use Eyes of The Vestige on S1(vs Will extra curse to S2): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 231d6 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + (3) + 5 = 10

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas fires off another bolt of flame and flees back down the stairs.

Now Bloodied. Use Second Wind, spend AP to use Hellish Rebuke on S1(1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 fire damage if attacked), then move to S4: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 1 = 91d6 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + (6) + 5 = 15

Male Human Warlock 4

Well, this was a dumb mistake.

Canas runs up the stairs and sets the nearest skeleton alight.

Move to O2, then curse and use Hellish Rebuke on S1(vs Reflex, 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Fire damage if he attacks me until EOMNT): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 101d6 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + (4) + 5 = 11

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas fires another eldritch bolt at the undead before continuing up the stairs.

Curse and Eldritch Blast B1, then move to R2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 211d10 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + (5) + 5 = 15

Male Human Warlock 4

I'll take the save. (1d20 ⇒ 17)

Canas points his blade at the trio of undead and shouts, and a cacophoney of voices shout with him, the sounds of battle filling their ears. He then runs for the stairs while they're distracted.

Cursing B1 and using Clarion Call on them(vs Fort, Thunder damage and deafened until EOMNT, I get 3 temp HP per person hit), then moving to T5 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 151d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 93d4 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) + 5 + (4) = 16

21 damage to B1, and I believe 3 temp HP for me. Of course, I'm also drawing several OAs.

Male Human Warlock 4

"Latro!" Canas dashes into the room and fires a bolt of eldritch energy at the undead.

Move to T8(Shadow Walk triggered), curse Z4, then use Eldritch Blast on him: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 191d10 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (9) + (5) + 5 = 19

Male Human Warlock 4

"Well, it couldn't hurt to try. So, toss the yellow, purple and black skulls in?"

Male Human Warlock 4

"Well, there certainly is precedent for necromancers keeping large amounts of skulls sitting around their laboratories. The coloration seems to be somewhat unnecessary..."

Arcana and History, both +7, can I tell anything about the random piles of skulls?

Male Human Warlock 4

"A shame. I would of thought this tower would contain more references to its time, or at least have entombed a famous warrior. Truly a shame..." "Whoo" "Well, just because the necromancers could have reanimated any famous warriors doesn't mean they would have. After all, they didn't break the seals on any of the rest."

They're still sealed, right?

Male Human Warlock 4

"So nice of you to join us again. I suppose you won't just give up?" Canas dashes into the corridor and sends a blast of energy at the bandit.

Move to T30 and use Eldritch Blast on B2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d10 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (8) + (6) + 5 = 19

Male Human Warlock 4

"Latro, how long would it take you to disable one of the dragons? If it isn't soon, I believe I'm going to do something incredibly stupid."

Delay until Latro's disabled one of the dragons for a round, move into the second dragon's fire area, then use Ethereal Stride to teleport to the other side of the dragons. Hopefully they'll have an off switch there. Note: I'd have +4 to all defenses at that point from concealment and Ethereal Stride.

A'loran Longstride wrote:
"Both Canas and myself seem to be having troubles hitting these guys."

"Don't worry A'loran, I'm sure we will hit them again soon enough."

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas focuses his attention at the remaining bandit and speeds him towards his inevitable end.

Curse B2 and use Fortune Binding on him(vs Fort): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 122d8 + 7 ⇒ (8, 8) + 7 = 231d6 ⇒ 3

Male Human Warlock 4

Pact Boon goes to Latro.

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas once again attempts to force his vestige's will into the bandit's mind.

Eyes of the Vestige on B1, vs Will, extra curse to B2) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 71d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Male Human Warlock 4

Canas focuses on the bandits down the hall, and they soon come under the influence of things long dead.

Curse B1, then use Eyes of The Vestige on B1(vs Will, extra curse to B2): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 81d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 71d6 ⇒ 2 If this was a slot machine, I'd be rich.
