Calondrel Aural's page

Calondrel has enjoyed the journey, but not the destination Oops, maybe channeling the stormlight archives here :) His experiences growing up have left him with more questions than answers. Travelling has given him time to reflect and think and he's decided that he needs to know more about the world. While he prefers his own kind, he senses some answers are only found outside his kin. The blot is an intriguing magical event, though the stories of the cyphergate draw his attention more. He hasn't encountered ancient (the elven magic he's used to is old, but having been continuously in use, doesn't classify as ancient to him) magic before. Making a grand discovery, as opposed to incremental research, appeals greatly to him.

Yeah I'm aware of it being either a do nothing or a strictly detrimental trait, but its the only one that I feel fits the character concept... I'd hope the GM rules its a no-op, or replaces it with something.

Any questions on my character?

The researching the blot trait has a weaker connection to other characters it looks like, but he'd most likely seek out Tia'malavel, another elf, also interested in magic. She;d be a reminder of home and the familiar in this crazy human dominated land. Of course two Magi in one party might be interesting... though Tia is going spell-dancer and I'll be going armored so we'd fill different roles While Calondrel keeps his magic secret, or at least tries too; his choice of weapon would probably indicate much to Tia'malavel.

Lluvia, as another full-blood elf would be his next contact, would be hopeful that since she's been in the city longer she might have made more connections and know where he should continue to look for information about this blot. Calondrel knows he's not the best at finding information out from humans, and would appreciate any pointers.

Family killed by unknown forces, (likely a family member transformed into a drow), being recruited by a secretive figure (drow hunter?), encouraged to travel to Riddleport for reasons.
