Cale looks impressed and interested in the quality of the blade, not just steel but magic too? He considers agreeing on the spot, but realizes that they wouldn't be offering his water. They couldn't drink his water and it wouldn't be right to speak for the others in that regard, so instead he just bites his lip as he looks at it.

"I am here as a courtesy. I and my fellows found a problem and have delivered one of the few surviving culprits to you that you might keep yourself safe. I am far from my tribe and not by choice. Right now I'm just trying to stay alive"

Cale wrinkles his nose at the dwarf in annoyance, not feeling as bad for them as he had a few minutes prior, only barely is he able to hold his tongue and not respond back with some petty insult in kind.

Cale refills his own water skin from the oasis and takes a drink from it "this is insanity. Taking a Druid, poisoning an oasis, this is nuts"

Cale also looks for elfroot. Having water sources only he could drink from was handy. "worst case scenario the live one would be good meat"

Cale is almost out of power points but he's fine day or night

Cale exhales in relief, glad he didn't have to put down his water to cast forth a missile of magic.

I would say Cale would normally be able to put up a decent fight, but he just admitted to being nearly out of power points.

He did indeed, crow hit them quite well.
Crow isn't blaming his weapon for poor performance and is instead just going out there and kicking ass

Cale wishes he had prepared a fire spell, despite the difficulty it would have been to explain it, but his standard repertoire would have to be enough he smiles and asks "how big are these bugs? Are they like "step on them" sized "stab them" sized or "try not to get stepped on" sized"

Laurelin rubs her face and sighs. Then she says, "We don't lay eggs, remember? We have to bear live young. So it takes months for them to incubate. We can't just lay eggs and then bury them or carry them with us."

Cale clings to this change of subject as a lifeline, trying to fight back his blush ah yes, the water. The poison is elfroot so it's not harmful to us, useful if you plan to stay in this area"

Cale turns slightly as he stares at Ick "I... that... what?

Cale nods happily, relief clearly visible on his face at the implications of her statement "that's gracious of you"
