Perfect Harmony for the healing connection says:
“ Perfect Harmony Whenever you Transfer Vitality to a single target, attempt to counteract any one affliction affecting that ally, or attempt to counteract an effect of your choice imposing one of these conditions: blinded, dazzled, deafened, drained, enfeebled, sickened, or stunned. If you didn't counteract the effect, but you would have if its counteract rank were 2 lower, instead suppress the effect until the beginning of your next turn. The effect's duration doesn't elapse while it's suppressed.“

What check would I be making and what would my bonus be? And what level is the effect?

EDIT: I presume, for the Healing Connection, I would use Medicine for the check as that is the connection’s skill?

I have a question about a creature's ability in this AP.

Spoiler:
The Eshmok (Wasp Demon) has an ability, Eshmok Infection. However, the creature has no ability that seems to allow it to actually infect another creature. Most creatures that can do this have it as part of an attack, but I don't see it under its melee attack. I presume its stinger attack should have something like "plus Eshmok Infection" or something like that, but it doesn't. And its Infesting Exhalation ability doesn't say the those subjected to it need to ave against the Eshmok Infection. And, Eshmok Infection is clearly an affliction as it shows the DC and various stage. Any ideas?

I have a question regarding running adventures in Adventure mode, and how to handle chronicles for a player who doesn’t play the entire adventure.

At the game store I organize for, a GM is running the standalone adventure Malevolence. He is running it in Adventure Mode. It’s scheduled over multiple sessions. We have at least one player who is going to only play 1 part.

Now, do they still get a chronicle for it, even if they don’t complete it? The guide to organized play has language about how to handle a scenario where someone doesn’t finish, but I couldn’t find any language regarding an adventure.

Do they get a chronicle prorated like they would if it had been a scenario? Do they not get one at all since they didn’t finish?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Any chance you might consider making new colors of pawn bases?

So far, there is black, red, yellow, blue, green, orange, and purple (some are under the Pathfinder line, others are under the Starfinder line.). Normally, that’s plenty (when I GM, each monster gets its own color - I know others use one color for all of the same kind of creature). But, I was wondering if making new color bases would be something you’re considering? I can’t speak for anyone else, but I could use a few more colors. :)

I am trying to add some items to my cart for purchase, but it’s not adding them to my cart. I have tried it on several different machines, and have cleared the cache on all of them, and it’s still not working. I click on “Add [item]” (whatever the item is) and I get the spinning icon like it’s processing, but it doesn’t actually add anything to the cart.

1. Somehow, i have lost nearly 70 tables of credit for PFS 1. I am a 4-star PFS1 GM; it now only shows I have like 56 tables of credit and a 2-star GM rating. That’s wrong. I had between 110-120 tables for PFS 1. This error popped up just in the past few days.

2. I know people are supposed to get a bonus of 80 Achievement Points for PFS2 and SFS, but I appear not to have gotten mine yet. I posted about this elsewhere, but I wanted to make sure I posted in the website forum.

Thanks!

I GM’ed a game yesterday and one of the characters died. The player has very few ACPs. I have plenty available - is it permissible for me to buy the Second Chance boon for him? If so, how do I do that?

TIA!

There are some online PFS tables at Cayden’s Keg which are limited to 5 players. Is that legal?

I am going to be running a series of these demos next weekend at a game store in the hopes of getting PFS restarted there, and I had a question about the pre-gens in the back of the this demo.

Should I use those characters included in the demo itself, or the regular pre-gens available in the community use pack? My understanding is that there are errors in the characters included in the demo itself, but that those errors had been fixed in the community use pack.

So, I just want to make sure I use the right characters.

I want to ask if you could reconsider the ACP costs for new ancestries and ask that you either eliminate them or drastically reduce them.

While some might see the reward of getting more ACPs for GMing scenarios (especially at convention), I don’t think removing the ACP costs will suddenly cause you to lose GMs.

You have these new books with great lore and background, and some fantastic ancestries that can be used to tell amazing stories (I’m looking at you, Mwangi Expanse!). But, because they are gated behind some ACP cost (some as high as 160), they can be near impossible to get for people. While there are people who play or GM every week or several times a week, there are, I am sure, casual players who don’t play that often. Why should they be denied the opportunity to play some of these ancestries?

As it is, the player must own the book to play an ancestry from that book. So, Paizo is getting its money there. But then, a player can’t use some of those things in organized play?

I was of the old school of thought that supported having certain races (1e) and ancestries (2e) being gated behind some costs. But, given the impact that pandemic has on local play, and in the hopes of trying to attract more people and to get them to buy more product, I think the time has come for Paizo to have a serious discussion about removing, or seriously reducing the ACP costs to something more reasonable.

And, of course, I can understand the super-rare ancestry that might be only available via boon obtained through charity auction. I still support that.

But, I am asking this requirement in general be eliminated, or the cost greatly reduced.

Horizon Hunters

I’m putting this in the Website Feedback forum because it deals with the website, not a function of PF2 really.

I have GM’ed 10 tables of PF2 for PFS. They have all been reported and show up in my sessions area, so I can see all 10 tables.

Yet, the system tells me I only have 5 tables of credit.

Is this a known issue?

And, are the symbols for glyphs showing up? I should have my first glyph with 10 tables of credit.

Horizon Hunters

Hey, all!

So, I'm working on converting Rise of the Runelords to 2e. I'm through Part 1 and Part 2 in Burnt Offerings, and conversions are pretty easy. I just have a question about XP.

So, there is the XP Budget, and then there is the amount of XP that a given monster takes up on that budget. In the case where the XP budget and the total of the XP for the monsters is the same, figuring the XP is easy enough. But, sometimes, they don't match exactly (and the GMG indicates that they may not always match, but they should be as close as possible.)

My question: If the XP budget and the total XP cost of the monsters don't match, which XP do I use for the award - the XP Budget, or the XP the monsthers actually cost? Again, when, they match, it's the same.

I know that when you make adjustments for parties of more than 4 players and the budget increases, you still only award them the XP for a party of 4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have pre-ordered a bunch of 2E stuff, and I used $140 in vouchers to pay for part of it.

1. Why couldn’t I use vouchers to start the subscriptions? That would guarantee that I can pick it up at Gen Con.
2. If I asked to cancel the order, would the $140 in vouchers be refunded and available for me to use?

Pathfinders:

It is my pleasure to announce that the Indianapolis and Central Indiana Lodge has once again secured a portion of Scotty's Brewhouse Downtown for Pre-Gen Con Pathfinder Society play!

We will have tables from 8 a.m.. - 5 p.m., and that 5 p.m. Is an absolute hard stop time.

Indianapolis VL Richard Webb will once again coordinate and schedule this event!

I'm only posting this general announcement so people can make plans, etc. Be on the lookout for posts from Richard regarding solicitation of scenarios and GMs, and ultimately, player sign ups. I can tell you that player sign ups go very, very quickly.

So, keep an eye out for further information!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Attention Pathfinders:

On behalf of the lodge of Indianapolis and Central Indiana, I cordially invite you to join us for Who's Yer Con, March 31-April 2 in Indianapolis! This free con has lots to offer, including 3 days of PFS goodness!!

You can now register for Whos Yer Con *AND* the Whos Yer Con PFS! (If you want to play and/or GM PFS, you must register at both!)

Register for Whos Yer con: WYC REGISTRATION

Register for PFS at Whos Yer Con: PFS REGISTRATION AT WYC

This year, we have more tables than ever and I need a LOT of GMs to help fill them! As well, Organized Play Coordinator Tonya Woldridge will be attending, and she will be running a few sessions of a retired scenario (which means that it normally cannot be played!) We will be running the multi-table special, The Cosmic Captive (including a couple of the Adventure Card Game tables for that part of the event), the new seeker arc, and number of multi-part adventures! And, by request, we will have one table of the new seeker arc, All for Immortality! We will have Adventure Card Game tables, ACG demos, kids track, quests, a new player/Welcome to PFS workshop (it will be in a different room than our gaming room.)

And, big news! While we will still be in the Hall of Champions this year, we will be in a different part of it, and on Friday and Saturday, we will have that entire area to ourselves, and that will give us 25 tables per slot (instead of the 17/slot we have had in the past.) I have agreed to let D&D AL have some tables on Sunday (since the game room they have will be used for something else on Sunday.)

So, register, look at the at game offerings and, if you want to GM, shoot me an e-,mail with the scenario(s)/module(s) and slot(s) that you want to GM and I will add those to your registration. Though it is not a requirement, if you are going to GM one of the multi-part stories, I would request that you run the entire series (it isn't required, but having one GM for the whole story might make a better storyline.)

You can NOT sign up for games yet - that's still a bit down the road, as I am trying to get a lot of the GM slots filled first.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing you at WYC!

AND, if you'd like to GM, drop me a PM here or an email at mark.stratton@gmail.com, and let me know what games you'd like to run!

Also, you can find the event list at Paizo.com HERE, but the scenario list there is outdated (there are more scenarios than what appears there.0

The description for the skill Fly says:

"A creature with a natural fly speed receives a bonus (or penalty) on Fly skill checks depending on its maneuverability: Clumsy –8, Poor –4, Average +0, Good +4, Perfect +8. Creatures without a listed maneuverability rating are assumed to have average maneuverability."

The description for the spell fly says:
"The subject can fly at a speed of 60 feet (or 40 feet if it wears medium or heavy armor, or if it carries a medium or heavy load). It can ascend at half speed and descend at double speed, and its maneuverability is good. Using a fly spell requires only as much concentration as walking, so the subject can attack or cast spells normally. The subject of a fly spell can charge but not run, and it cannot carry aloft more weight than its maximum load, plus any armor it wears. The subject gains a bonus on Fly skill checks equal to 1/2 your caster level."

Clearly, the creature gets a bonus of 1/2 caster level. But, does it also get the bonus from the maneuverability? A good maneuverability would grant a +4 bonus. If it isn't meant to get a bonus, then why include this language? It seems to me that since the spell specifically describes the maneuverability, and the maneuverability's only purpose is to either grant a bonus (or impose a penalty), that it is a specific case that would override the general language of the skill

Attention Pathfinders:

Each year, on the Wednesday before Gen Con, the Indianapolis Lodge hosts Pathfinder Society Gaming at Scotty's Brewhouse in downtown Indianapolis. This year, PFS gaming returns to that venue on Wednesday, July 29! As well, we are working on scheduling a table of the Adventure Card Game in the morning and the afternoon slots.

I'm still working on getting a few more scenarios/GMs to round out the tables we have, so the offerings should increase a tad.) If anyone has a particular scenario you would like to play in or to run, let me know (mark.stratton@gmail.com) whether you want to play it or run it, and in which slot. The evening slot is full (we only have 3 tables). I don't have many more tables, so a request may not be able to be granted.

There will be 3 slots:
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Gaming will start at 8:00 a.m.; food service will start at 9:00 a.m. Though there is no cost to register or to play, all players and GMs, at every table, in every slot, are expected to purchase food, beverages, etc. There is not a lot of room (it gets pretty crowded starting just before lunch), so you shouldn't bring lots of extra stuff with you.

If you are interested in joining us, hop on over to the Warhorn HERE, register, and then sign up for a few games.

I look forward to seeing you (both the veterans of our Scotty's events and new Pathfinders!)

Attention Pathfinder GMs:

Each year, on the day before Gen Con begins, the Indianapolis Lodge offers FREE PFS gaming. This year, on Wednesday, July 29, we are back at Scotty's Brewhouse in downtown Indianapolis, just a few blocks walk from the Convention Center.

I am looking for GMs! I have some GM slots filled already, but need more! We have three slots:

8 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
12:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
5 p.m. - 9 p.m.(Currently, all three tables in this slot having something assigned, but I'm still looking for GMs for the games that had been requested)

Anyone interested in GMing should drop me an email at mark.stratton@gmail.com. Let me know what slots you want to run, and which scenarios (though, if anyone is interested, we do have a request for all three parts of the Season 6 Scions of the Sky Key series) Try to pick scenarios that can fit in the time frame, and perhaps finish a few minutes early. It's a very tight schedule that doesn't allow for adjustments. So, if you're interested, drop me a note ASAP.

If you want to see what is currently scheduled, and to register, visit the Warhorn for this event HERE!. If you were at this event last year and were registered on the Warhorn, you should still be registered.

I provide chronicle and reporting sheets. If we get enough tables signed up, I can also ask for support, so there may be the possibility of some GM boons, too!

All players and GMs are required to buy food and drink (food service starts at 9 a.m.).

Welcome aboard, Hillis!

The new symbols do not appear on the Pathfinder Society ID card. When I print my PFS card (which shows my GM starts, etc.) it still has the first Liberty's Edge symbol, not the new one.

On the PFS message boards, the icon next to my name when I post is the correct faction symbol; it's just incorrect on my PFS card (which is NOT the new Faction Journal Card.)

Horizon Hunters

I'm running the anniversary edition of this for my group. Today, I went to schedule and report a session I ran of it (we finished the first book.) When I went to schedule it, I don't get the option to schedule and report each book - rather, it appears that I can only schedule the ENTIRE AP, and therefore only get credit once for the entire AP, as opposed to each individual book in the AP.

All of the other APs are able to be scheduled and reported by each book within the AP, but not Runelords. So, as a result, I can't schedule and report each item of sanctioned content.
