I summon minor monster, in your mouth.

This spell summons an extraplanar creature (typically an outsider, elemental, or magical beast native to another plane). It appears where you designate and acts immediately, on your turn.

Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no

Did not need any more. After couple of (some succesfull) possessing attempts my players formed fast response spirit banish team, which came immediately whenever PC or NPC gave alarm of noticing something odd.

In last time players started to eradite the Aranea in the House of Withered Flowers and next weekend the game will start with final fight with Akinosa crew. But I decided to change one of the slaves of the door at underground wall into Aranea to see if I get any feelings of remorse.

The aranea warrior is kept alive to mock the attacking Aranea with shackles of stabilization nailed on its wrist. And if the players will sneak to check them unnoticed by hobgoblins (got rogueish crew), he would promise to lure the defenders out by singing and acting like crazy (would be easy as he already is), so they will come to beat him. The plyers just need to kill as many hobgoblins as they could.

I just started new book and we had first random encounter, which took whole day and it is not even finished!

Our scout found oni assault camp waiting and decided to do with their own hand. After hours of planning, they tried to sneak in charm the leader. But the leader hear one player cursing and started to blaming his followers. While everyone lined on thin path, sorcerer couldnt resist and boom. Surprise and boom again. Those who were still alive, were fastly put on ice or sleep by witch. They killed everyone but one, who was then charmed for questioning.

She was first one to drop, so she didn't know what exactly happened, but when she was "revived" and charmed by pc, it don't need to be an einsten to quess. So her first words were: "I surrender."

For her motivation, I picked blindly random word from dictionary, which was gossip. So, players now had prisoner who gladly told them everything, as long they had something with same value to tell back.

Now they had moral dilemma how to continue. She was clearly not safe to release but they didnt have heart to kill her either. After my players used many hours to make their mind, they thought if they should use Amatatsu sinet to turn her into ally as they used it to Zaiobe.

Second problem was they did not want awake every oni this side of planet. So maybe if they open the box in another box. In a 'virtual' sandbox universe. They consulted with npcs of caravan if it was possible. At Goija I said that it could be done in theory. Either at Adabar's safe or at dream under starry sky at starday.

At Ameiko I decided that she should be preparing to be future leader of nation and make decision and carry weight of them. So she decided to trust the plan.

So. Goija made sanctuary under power of Desna and those who supported the idea, went to sleep together. I gave the player who took part dreamy visions with meeting of Desna.

While those keeping guard I gave feeling of something big has happened.

......

Now, what really happened?
I decidee to left it to next day as most players were too tired to continue or pay even smallest attention.
But also, i really like to get some suggestions.

I m playing Jade Regent and while on north pole there are rarely random encounters, so I tell a player, when there is holiday or fest at his homeland or faith, give short description what it is about and then let him organize something if he is interested.

One of best was when the character from Irrisen created big harvest banguet of snow and ice. It was great how other player's emotions were fighting between polite and dissappointment.

I gave him (alone) the bonus from Heroes Feast to next encounter.

I softened my players by using Harpies various times before they met Zaiobe.

The Brinewall Legacy wrote:

The Three Cormorants (CR 5):

Three towering sea stacks protrude from the waves here, their crowns supporting miniature forests of eucalyptus and cypress trees. A small group of harpies dwells amid these trees, but apart from periodically tormenting goblins, the monsters don’t meddle with mainland concerns.

My additions:

Once of year at spring, harpies are looking for mate. This is usually over after week, but some rare cases harpy has been known to follow her chosen one even a month. While these encounters with harpies are rarely fatal (especially near walls of Sandtown), those found at it are ridiculed by other villagers.
Those who use road to north, may meet lone harpy trying to sell rumors, protection, foul "alchemical items", junk or even "partnership" for fish, meat (living goblin is best) or shiny items.

So, when players met Zaiobe, they were both fascinated and suspicious about her silence and subjective cleaness.

She found rogue, when he was alone and I suggesfully persuaded him with handsigns to reach her. After that, player told her that they were looking for secret treasure and promised her a part if she joins them. So, I decided that Zaiobe will be greedy enough to being interested and then she was present, when Amatetsu Seal was found. The Seal did severe Zaiobe's connection to Pazuzu and instead linked her destiny within others.

Tattooes of Golarion
All the cultures and subcultures, who used tattoo, scars or any other bodymodifications and what that means to them. I also like to see outsider views on them. Are they reqognized or ridiculed?
- Branding of slave or criminal
- Mark of faith or otherwordly corruption
- Decoration of the skin
- Means of magical protection

"Here a gold coin to get that nasty wound removed."
"What! This is a mark of hero on my heritage and I wear it proudly."

I do like mouse too, but usually half of my party will have their own evasion. But it would be easier to them gain some army of totemic minions.

Which is best Totem?
Affect to:
- Song of the Beast
- Totem Empathy
- Wild Shape

I myself cant decide if I like more Bull or Snake.

Bull-song gives extra kick to (Greater) Skald's Vigor and use empathy to cow to make it your mount sounds cool. Or do you need a stampede? But unsure if I can use Wild Shape to provide morning milk to party.

Snakes are cool themselves and Snake-song with Unexpected Strike will give a nice surprise to charging opponent. Also Wild Shape gives you Climb speed 20 ft and Swim speed 20 ft at level 5, which helps to get in or out of many troubles to sneaky snaek.

I also like to hear your opinions of alternate animal lists.
For example if Urban Skald should use list provided by Book of Intrique.

Jeff Clem wrote:

This doesn't allow the skald to assume other forms, such as elementals, plants, or other kinds of animals.

Like I posted earlier this is a hybrid classes so you don't get full benefits of the druid wild shaping ability.

I think tiny and small frogs are kind of same, just different sized.

I was wondering, if character revived by Song of the Fallen can die as long as Skald keep performing. I quess it just bounces up until it CON was drained to 0.

Perhaps my next characters should be Skald/Druid with occupation: Farmer, who uses a stampede of Bisons or Boars as his meatshield.

I agree with previous ones.

I also like to have book of Red Lanterns of Inner Sea or "Prohibition and Burlesque".

I don't mean book of erotic fantasy, but while I do gladly accept half step toward it, I seek more:
- Places to have fun between adventures, meet secretly high members of society or have them assassinated or blackmailed.
- Adventure or character ideas for vigilantes and halfling slave traders and freedom fighters.
- The rules for illegal items and keeping high moral facade while doing so.
- Also, something to give me and my gm similar idea where and when I can walk hand-to-hand with my Harpy or Halforc girlfriend at town.

For the purpose of bold stare improvements, the enigma's hypnotic stare always has a penalty of –1.

Soo... If Enigma uses his hypnotic stare, it ends his hypnotic stare?

from Invisibility wrote:
The spell ends if the subject attacks any creature. For purposes of this spell, an attack includes any spell targeting a foe or whose area or effect includes a foe. Exactly who is a foe depends on the invisible character's perceptions.
from Climb wrote:
Climbing is part of movement, so it’s generally part of a move action (and may be combined with other types of movement in a move action).

So, entering to target's square and skin aren't attack actions, nor spells. If rule is that any kind of action directed directly against foe is attack, then mesmerist couldn't use even hypnotic stare to give penalties.

Or one would play gnome psychopat... "It is not an enemy. It is a challenging ART project!"

I was thinking character concept of Enigma (Mesmerist), Vexing Dodger (Rogue), Mouser (Swashbuckler).

Does she stays invisible while she climbs on opponent's legs and brings him bad luck as she wont make attacks or cast spells?

Bottle of air without cork, the slime is constantly bubbling and tries to make it stop, but wont abandon its treasure. It wont notice the characters until they attack it.

Cube of Force, lot of possible variations, especially with curses.

Any item giving Acid Resistance, because it wont stop people suffocating inside slime, though the slime wont understand why it haves difficulties to digest its meals.

I watched again one of Lindybeige's gaming rant https://www.youtube.com/user/lindybeige
and started to think one simply solution for more dynamic gaming.

My idea, Roll Initiative to act before your turn.

So, one of fighting side is casting a spell or closing a door or doing something else what another side wants to interrupt. So instead of accepting what is coming, the another side rolls Initiative check with DC of 10 + 2x the initiative difference.

If this test is succesfull, he can make now a move or standard action with 5 ft step, but not a full round action.

If this test fails, he makes his move or standard action after the one he tried to interrupt.

In both cases, he loses his action at original place on that turn.

People of Varisia had extra campaign traits for 5 different adventure path and other people books had for one. Has any paizo book extra campaign traits for Council of Thieves?

Easy and quick rules.

- Tell players that each drink gives them +1 morale bonus in ANY and EVERY roll, until they fail fort save.
- Then raise DC for everything they try by 2 per each drink, but not on the dc of any CHA based check, until they fail fort save, because drunken people are funny, until they vomit or pee on themselves.
- Lessen the penalty by 2 per hour.

Let them make ultimate destructiun and then claim them yourself.
Now make them make 1st level characters to stop their previous characters.

This is one of most interesting subjects ever. Do not let it fall forgotten.

Hmm, if I ready a grease or glue seal spell at enemy caster's spellpouch and cast that when he tries to open it. Much better than counterspell.

Bomanz wrote:
Am I the only one here that thinks magical hair that is stronger than the witch and can attack and stuff is stupid?

Not more stupid than any spell/force/summon/etc which is stronger than caster, this case just use the hair as medium.

Should be gnomes instead of humans. Maybe some of them are medium sized, but they still appear as gnomes.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Of course. Sex is just another form of battle where you take your enjoyment of piercing your opponents with force and skill of your weapon until they yield under your might.

But you can't win gorumite battlemistresses just by money or trinkets. You must show them your scars from battles, trophies taken from your enemies or another proof of your worthy before they accept your challenge.

Make a goblin seductress. Hide her race with

Ugly Swine:

You are a repulsive little freak whose origins are unclear. Your head is small for a goblin and your mouth oddly narrow, allowing you to pass in urban environments as an unidentifiable mongrel, providing you keep a low profile. However, if examined closely, your goblin origins are revealed.
Benefit: You gain a +2 trait bonus on Disguise checks, and Disguise is a class skill for you.

and enchant her chest with
Misbegotten drawback:

Whether due to the influence of malign magic, disease, or the scorn of the gods, you were born with a troublesome deformity that interferes with your movement.
Effect: You take a –2 penalty on all Dexterity-based skill checks.

to have most horrifying honey trap ever.

You say Wrecker is bad choice. I'm actually dipping into Monk, so I don't need any weapon or armor anyway.
Both Lore and Nature mysteries have revelation which allow you to use Charisma instead of Dexterity to your AC, which lessens MAD,
though some other mystery (like Battle) might have better combat revelations.

I would love kobolds, as it would be relatively easy to use him in any party, but it is frustating that wehenever I try made character, who is good in something, goblin would overshine with better stats, skill bonuses and other stuff.

Even if they could only occupy same square with another ally without hindracing or benefitting each other, would be unique and interesting ability enough. Too bad Shoulder to Shoulder takes away crafty and works only with small allies.

Heck, even if kobold could only share square with another small ally without penalty and squeeze in square of medium sized ally (-4 attack and AC because must be careful to not being stepped on) would make me happy.

I could play cactuar. :)

Well, oracle's curse is class ability, so I was thinking if you can curse Oracle forgot being blind, for example.

I thought and developed more of my suggestions.

Hunter
At first, she is more careful, poking reactions from safe distance and trying to find out the capacity of adventurers and waste their resources. With time, she gets more brave and use traps, other cave dwellers etc to slow them down. she might also watch them magically (sensor, small animal, etc).

Quake
Let every player get one playing card. The value of card +10 is DC of whatever they get.
Hearts: Friend is trouble, make Reflex save to get with him and take a share of whatever he got. If royal card, he can push his friend out of danger, but suffer the result himself.
If two players gain hearts and success their Reflex save, they survive together without any damage.
Diamonds: Enter into small hole to avoid being buried. Escape artist check when he squishes in or takes 3d6 damage. The entry is blocked by huge stone. Strength check is required to push it away.
Clubs: Character is in slide zone, use DC of card.
Spades: Character is in bury zone, use DC of card.
Joker: Take 2d6 damage from falling as floor disappear. Reflex save or Acrobatics check with DC 10 halfs the damage. Find the drow pinned under huge rock and having only 0 HP left.

Bury and slide zone effects and damage from cave-in-or-collapse

If the group stays together, have a single drow playing querilla with them for days, striking with spells whenever she can get 3 persons in effective area.

When they have learned to keep small distance with each other, use earthquake with cave in separating them with each other. Let them fear of attack while trying to find each other.

Instead make it natural occurence, no attack as would be enemies have more important thing at their minds. next encounters would be wounded, even cripled, who may be desperate enough to plead their help or try attack for food/eguipment and leave as soon as possible. You could get big monster who is already dead, crushed under rocks and maybe some weak beast guarding its feast.

Considering the money normal people get paid, higher level adventurer could actually pay for the working group of whole city to make them leave their home...

I wonder how amnesia could affect physical things like mount, third hand mutation, oracle curses, etc.

Actually, could I get limited amnesia/curse to forgot only the bad stuff?

Why would a LN god have a problem with dogmatic and inflexible? That's what he wants.

Not when bureaucrates are making the work impossible and to get anything done needs will of Irori and bribing the one who knew shortcuts.

Sometimes even the most stable machine needs a nudge to right diraction.

Having LE member in LG party shouldn't be more difficult than CG member, because while you can have different opinion in various subjects, LE can atleast behave.

If you don't believe, try have long discussion with layer and bored teenager.

Try

You made these defect better than oracle curses as oracle curses treat all other other class levels as 1/2 oracle levels. Would be better:

Defect

Can take a oracles curse as defect. Each two levels after taking defect is counted as one oracle level for purpose to determine the effect of defect.

Any feat that raise character's caster level can be used to raise instead character's oracle level in purpose to determine effect of the defect.

So, I can't make practical joke on my friend 'Armored Fighter', slap him with spatial switch, climb on the cliff and then swap place with him, until I have an angry bee in bottle, which I could release to attack me?

I'm myself having chain smoking redneck barbarian.
Dip that with one level of Bard/Skald and play banjo.

Subtle manipulation. For example, you can use hypnosis to implant an idea (common enemy for example), which makes him little more happy to help as long it is around the idea.

Robert Wadlow was 8 ft 11 inches, so it is not so far, but you could also disguise to elf, as typically elves are couple of inches taller than humans. If there isn't many elves in the city, say that he is elder highelf and have him walk with cane and nobody would know better.

Just remember that people would be curious whatever he dress up. Be thankful they can't take selfie with him.

Whenever someone plays 'tyrannic righteous', my alignment is 'survival selfish' and I am the "friendliest" guy/gal/thing in whole group.

Be open with evil aura and say that you have 'condition', curse or heritage, which makes you look like evil. Some feats or traits give evil aura even if your alignment is not, so you can say that you are marked by evil of your parents and you are nothing like them. Paladin might dubious, but play nice, so he wont get any evidence against you.

If preparing is everything, then feat: Scribe scroll, is must. Use couple of days to write up some spells you really like to spam around.

I haven't played yet Bard, but someday I will test what would happen if I cast Beguiling Gift and offer my character. Note to self: don't try on cannibal.

Also, cast Glue Seal on cloth which you throw over enemy's head with dirty trick. I suspect he wouldnt remove that just with move action.

Get an animal, pet or summoned creature and release trow or send it middle of enemies. Be invisible. Cast Babble (occult spell) on your pet and throw it middle of enemies. Everyone (-those who saves) are immediately fascinated by sick babbling animal which has appeared in middle of them. Because you don't cast spell on enemy and the fascinated is secondary effect, you don't became visible.

And remember to cast first Eagle's Splendor to rise the DC of saves by 2.

Build a pure blooded noble lady, one who daily face etiquette and fellows of upper classes and throws terrifying tantrums.

Rules:
- Must be barbarian
- Must gain either Diplomacy or Knowledge (Nobility) as class skills from trait or architype, preferred having both skills.
