I summon minor monster, in your mouth.

This spell summons an extraplanar creature (typically an outsider, elemental, or magical beast native to another plane). It appears where you designate and acts immediately, on your turn.

Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no

I just started new book and we had first random encounter, which took whole day and it is not even finished!

Our scout found oni assault camp waiting and decided to do with their own hand. After hours of planning, they tried to sneak in charm the leader. But the leader hear one player cursing and started to blaming his followers. While everyone lined on thin path, sorcerer couldnt resist and boom. Surprise and boom again. Those who were still alive, were fastly put on ice or sleep by witch. They killed everyone but one, who was then charmed for questioning.

She was first one to drop, so she didn't know what exactly happened, but when she was "revived" and charmed by pc, it don't need to be an einsten to quess. So her first words were: "I surrender."

For her motivation, I picked blindly random word from dictionary, which was gossip. So, players now had prisoner who gladly told them everything, as long they had something with same value to tell back.

Now they had moral dilemma how to continue. She was clearly not safe to release but they didnt have heart to kill her either. After my players used many hours to make their mind, they thought if they should use Amatatsu sinet to turn her into ally as they used it to Zaiobe.

Second problem was they did not want awake every oni this side of planet. So maybe if they open the box in another box. In a 'virtual' sandbox universe. They consulted with npcs of caravan if it was possible. At Goija I said that it could be done in theory. Either at Adabar's safe or at dream under starry sky at starday.

At Ameiko I decided that she should be preparing to be future leader of nation and make decision and carry weight of them. So she decided to trust the plan.

So. Goija made sanctuary under power of Desna and those who supported the idea, went to sleep together. I gave the player who took part dreamy visions with meeting of Desna.

While those keeping guard I gave feeling of something big has happened.

......

Now, what really happened?
I decidee to left it to next day as most players were too tired to continue or pay even smallest attention.
But also, i really like to get some suggestions.

Which is best Totem?
Affect to:
- Song of the Beast
- Totem Empathy
- Wild Shape

I myself cant decide if I like more Bull or Snake.

Bull-song gives extra kick to (Greater) Skald's Vigor and use empathy to cow to make it your mount sounds cool. Or do you need a stampede? But unsure if I can use Wild Shape to provide morning milk to party.

Snakes are cool themselves and Snake-song with Unexpected Strike will give a nice surprise to charging opponent. Also Wild Shape gives you Climb speed 20 ft and Swim speed 20 ft at level 5, which helps to get in or out of many troubles to sneaky snaek.

I also like to hear your opinions of alternate animal lists.
For example if Urban Skald should use list provided by Book of Intrique.

I was thinking character concept of Enigma (Mesmerist), Vexing Dodger (Rogue), Mouser (Swashbuckler).

Does she stays invisible while she climbs on opponent's legs and brings him bad luck as she wont make attacks or cast spells?

I watched again one of Lindybeige's gaming rant https://www.youtube.com/user/lindybeige
and started to think one simply solution for more dynamic gaming.

My idea, Roll Initiative to act before your turn.

So, one of fighting side is casting a spell or closing a door or doing something else what another side wants to interrupt. So instead of accepting what is coming, the another side rolls Initiative check with DC of 10 + 2x the initiative difference.

If this test is succesfull, he can make now a move or standard action with 5 ft step, but not a full round action.

If this test fails, he makes his move or standard action after the one he tried to interrupt.

In both cases, he loses his action at original place on that turn.

People of Varisia had extra campaign traits for 5 different adventure path and other people books had for one. Has any paizo book extra campaign traits for Council of Thieves?

Build a pure blooded noble lady, one who daily face etiquette and fellows of upper classes and throws terrifying tantrums.

Rules:
- Must be barbarian
- Must gain either Diplomacy or Knowledge (Nobility) as class skills from trait or architype, preferred having both skills.
- Improvised or throwing weapons are preferred, seconded by unarmed combat or natural weapons.

Prize:
Be awesome.
Be extra awesome, if STR is dump stat and still works.
Be super awesome, if CHA or INT is main stat and still works.

This spell functions as sanctuary, except creatures attempting to attack the target who fail their saves also feel a strong sense of pity toward the target, as if it were weak, pathetic, and not a threat. If the target breaks the spell by attacking, any creature that failed its save against the spell gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls against the target for 1 minute.

Now what happens if I turn invisible and then go cast this on to enemy commander?

This is not a damaging spell, so it wont turn me into visible, but what happens to the how the enemies see their commander? Especially those who wants to take his place himself? Can they now try to dethrone him as he seems to weak or does their pity prevent making any other harm than speaking ill?

Now into the juice. When the commander takes some discipline actions toward his men or makes attack att visible pc, is that all the one who failed save, get +2 morality bonus against him. While it is fun bonus to players alone, is there any change that the enemies takes the action themselves without outside help or make some 'misplaced' hits while fighting with us?

Or if cast in middle of fight, would it ruin the morale to fight of enemies if their boss suddenly seems to be weak?

I thought that Gunslinger's

Quote:

Gun Training (Ex):
Starting at 5th level, a gunslinger can select one specific type of firearm (such as an axe musket, blunderbuss, musket, or pistol). She gains a bonus equal to her Dexterity modifier on damage rolls when firing that type of firearm. Furthermore, when she misfires with that type of firearm, the misfire value of that firearm increases by 2 instead of 4.

Every four levels thereafter (9th, 13th, and 17th), the gunslinger picks up another type of firearm, gaining these bonuses for those types as well.

and every other [weapon of choice] Training (Ex) abilities were equivalent of Fighter's

Quote:

Weapon Training (Ex):
Starting at 5th level, a fighter can select one group of weapons, as noted below. Whenever he attacks with a weapon from this group, he gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls.

Every four levels thereafter (9th*, 13th, and 17th), a fighter becomes further trained in another group of weapons. He gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls when using a weapon from this group. In addition, the bonuses granted by previous weapon groups increase by +1 each. For example, when a fighter reaches 9th level, he receives a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with one weapon group and a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls with the weapon group selected at 5th level. Bonuses granted from overlapping groups do not stack. Take the highest bonus granted for a weapon if it resides in two or more groups.

but, then I found

Quote:

Marksman's Utility (Weapon Mastery)

Prerequisite(s): Base attack bonus +6, weapon training class feature with a ranged weapon.

Special: A gunslinger can ignore the weapon training class feature prerequisite of Marksman's Deed.

So Gun Training =/= a weapon training class feature with a ranged weapon?

I found Undersize mount feat and now I like to get a small pig for my goblinette to ride on. Can I just steal one or do I have to get it combat trained? What skills, feats or class abilities I still need, so I can ride it on to battle while shooting wildly my musket like boss?

What I really want is this
http://www.beastsofwar.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Gremlin-Rider.jpg
but it seems that you can't make mount of two legged animal even with eidolon powers.

I took inspiration from malifaux gremlins for my character concept, so I went goblin gunslinger. I took ugly swine trait and misbegotten drawback, for smaller head and some extra shappes, so she won't look goblin, but ugly halfling with big b00bs and green skin, with pricetag -2 penalty to all Dex skills. And if ever get idea how effectively play goblin harlot without being face of our adventurer group, I will consider that.

I had in mind couple of things, but I don't remember if they were traits, feats, class features or spell effects. So where I get
- Increased weapon damage dices.
- Maximised weapon base dmg.
- Increased critical modifier of weapon.
(by the way, I know that criticals aren't maximized)

Other succestions are welcome too and while I have calculated that I could get best options by dipping into monk, which works by miniatyres, but I have some trouble trying to imagine having that much discipline (Lawful alignment).

I have read books, net-references, guides and forums almost 8 hours, but I haven't yet found how gunslinger can reload his gun free after each shot. If I understand this right, she can use this ability only once per round.

Lightning Reload (Ex): At 11th level, as long as the gunslinger has at least 1 grit point, she can reload a single barrel of a one-handed or two-handed firearm as a swift action once per round. If she has the Rapid Reload feat or is using an alchemical cartridge (or both), she can reload a single barrel of the weapon as a free action each round instead. Furthermore, using this deed does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

And Jolly's Guide tells:
"Wow, this is way too late to matter. By the time this comes up, you’ll already be free action reloading."

So, where you get it?

- - - -

Also, ammonitions are damn prizey. I will start business of smelting silvercoins and selling them as bullets. Value x 250 = huge profit!

I am working with a new character, but there are some things I can't find answers.

- Does Fiendish Sorcery works with 'magus' bloodlines?

- If bloodline power gives an ability which character has already, does he get the next 'level' of the power (claws, resistances)?

Examples of similar ruling:
Evasion + Evasion = Improved Evasion
Hard Head, Big Teeth (goblin racial trait; d4 dmg) + Savage Bite (racial barbarian ability; d4 dmg) = d6 dmg

- What Abyssal Bloodrage does, when Eldritch Scion does not have bloodrage? Can it be replaced with Strength of the Abyss?

- Can Bloodrager/Scion use Wildblooded variant if it replaces bloodline power they got?

Background

I watched Lindybeige's speech for Chases in RPG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVgRlPGS69c
and I started thinking and looked for some interesting rules. Short and long chases got some interesting rules and various variants of rules, which I will test someday, but is there any good way to become an obstacle of escaping/charging character. Also alternately, to way avoid of being trampled over.

The Move Check from http://geek-related.com/2009/12/13/life-in-the-big-city-chase-rules/
seemed promiding and to be quite aproved set of rules. But it still need bit of jiggering for my taste. Well, for this purpose.

So, my idea

Whenever any of players wan't change his position out of his turn as a pre-emptive reaction, he must roll Initiative Check against the triggerer of the action, including following modifiers:

+2 per each 5 ft of speed
+2 per each 5 ft of distance the opponent must go before nearest intercepting point
-2 if you are fatiqued
-6 if you are exhausted, as well only using half speed
-4 if you are flanked

If the character in turn wins, nothing changes.
If the reacting character wins, he can take 5 ft step and additional 5 ft movement from each 5 points he beat the opponent. To maximum distance of his normal speed. These are substracted from the movement he can do at his next turn.

Possible uses

Avoid being a target of attack or charge.
Give a way for your ally, who want's to take your place.
Be obstacle by getting in the way of opponent.
Prevent enemy of opening or closing a door, cathing an unintended item, etc. (You can't do that and get an attack of opportunity same time.)
Save your ally from trap or accident, like catch him when he slips or falls.

Your Feedback

Thoughts, ideas of development and critics are welcome. I especially want's to know where this might clash against rules, feats etc. Or give better rules if you have.

My players like the immersion of the world, so I thought of sharing one of my tools. I make twice as much random encounters as adventure suggest, but half of them don't require fight or interaction, but observation as the target of encounter might be too far away, left long time ago or not interested of characters.

That doesn't mean that players or characters don't have anything to gain. They could learn something of local fauna, get warning, find some hidden loot or camp site, experience some rare moments or just enjoy the sight of cuddling dragons.

I also often roll random encounters beforehand and try to link them with each other. For example, the group of soldiers characters might meet, could be after the beast they had seen or perhaps they could give a warning.

One of the greatest encounters came, when the rogue was scouting and found a two giant kid playing together. Afraid of that they could find and destroy the caravan he send message to stop. Then he went to childs and lured them away from path and while he was amusing them, the caravan passed unnoticed. When the caravan was far enough, he promised them a magic trick, got them close their eyes and sneaked away, leaving them to wonder of his amazing disappearing act.

I was going to dip my Naked Urban Barbarian for Feral Hunter but now I forgot the name of one spells I really wanted to use.

As I remember, the 1st lvl Ranger spell gives 10x base speed for one round, but it can be casted on instant.

Makes it perfect for surprise charge.

There is many good and bad points in alignment system and how it is used.
Now I was sitting on sauna, thinking...

What about if detect spells can get false readings from feelings of the target?

LG: Content, TL: Happy, CG: Love
TL: Serious, TN: Emotionless, TC: ?
LE: Jealousy, TE: Quilty, CE: Angry

Think of:

Paladin sees someone running on street and casts detect evil.
It gives a hit, so he stops him for questioning.
Paladin: "Why so hurry?"
Suspicious man: "Can't talk. I'm late."
Casts again and sees that 'evil' is really starting to glow.
P: "Whoa! Do not make any sudden movements! I'm armed and allowed to use deadly force."
S: "Sorry, but can you let me go. Please. I really really need to see my son. It is his first match and I promised to be there."

Or

Serialkiller standing on street with happy thoughts of bloody bunnies etc.
Paladin: "Do not stop there. Go on."

It takes away strongest tool of discrimination, but won't make it totally useless for someone, who will put an effort into listening and legwork.

Got weird idea.

Orcs can breed with almost everything and result is usually half orc.
Outsiders can breed with everything and result is the natural outsider, only with side change if necessary.

Now, could we breed orc with for example, halfling-tiefling and get a small sized halforc?

I have to ask from my GM whenever I'm need of new character, though I would like to hear some arguments to defend my case or against it.

In my understanding, the proper use is
Elf, Elven (maid), Elvish (language)
Dwarf, Dwarven, Dwarvish

But how I use words for another races?

For example, if I am bump into young female orc, which word describes best of her ample bosom?

Orc / Orcen / Orcian / Orcish / Orcy / Orcylar / Orcular / Orcful / Orcsome / Orcic / Orcical / Orcly / Orcous? -or even- Ork / Orken / Orkian / Orkish / Orky / Orkylar / Orkular / Orkful / Orksome / Orkic / Orkical / Orkly / Orkous?

Setting: victorian

Two gentleman, who were both friends of nature, found a rarest and most wonderfull animal they had ever seen. They shot it down and collected the body.
But after that they started to fight with each other. Why?

Try write your answer before looking mine (which is probably as right as yours).

Spoiler:
Because one wanted to eat the animal and another thought it belongs to museum.

I hope to see other puzzles and practises of mindsets & values.

As every adventure has lot of gems worth of thousands gp which are often used for spell ingredients, where they come from?

And when I think about it, typical npc would earn same amount money he could earn in rest of his live just by picking couple of stones. So why there aren't masses of hopeful prospectors digging open every hill and disturbing monsters everywhere?

Though Golafornia Gem Rush could make an intertesting adventure path.
Especially for gunslingers.

I made year ago a table to tell where and in what condition the characters found themselves when they go drinking. I based it two different table I found from net, but now I have accidentally deleted it!

Any help to find the original models or making a new one?

I'm planning to make a barbarian using either Urban Barbarian template (for Controlled rage) or half-orc. Now my question.

When he is at 1 HP, can he ask or inflict himself 2 points of damage, so his level of damage will turn to nonlethal and he then drinks a healing potion to get ridd of nonlethal and heal a bit of more?

When I started roleplaying, I was my character. Later I was actor of my character and now I'm director of my character.
At same time, I started from male characters, but now I play mostly female ones, I think because girls are much more fun to draw than boys.

I don't know if it mean that I'm growing up or just becoming more and more perverted. :|

We value freedom and independency so much that many of us see anything which prevent us doing what we want in anyplace in anytime, is incorrectly evil. But how about our characters?

In medieval times, safety and traditions were valued much higher, that you could easily sacrifice your freedom for those. People didn't think themselves individuals, but parts of society, even property of their families, countries and faiths.

Which of these sounds right?

Prince kiss the princess ending her hundred years old curse and they were happily married till end of their lives.

Prince kiss the princess ending her hundred years old curse, but princess leaves him later, because the world has many princes to kiss and no one today will marry their first love.

Should GM allow, encourage or enforce thinking, which is different from our modern values and standards?
Or should GM stop a good aligmented character from having slaves, murdering opponents in random encounters or stealing from fallen enemies as they are viewed evil acts in modern culture?
