Calling upon his extensive training, Brodin enters a fugue state of aim/draw/release/aim/draw/release, shooting three arrows in quick succession at the nearby Hobgoblins Using a ki point to get an extra attack, targetting those nearest Tony first then the nearest target Flurry of arrows, arrow#1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
damage if hits, arrow#1: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

use slow fall to fall the 20' to the floor below, 5' step to manoeuvre to an advantageous position, then let off an arrow at the nearest target Composite Longbow: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 18 Damage if hits: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Moving over to the trapdoor with a loud,
Not sure if I can reach the trapdoor with a 5' step. If not, just take the first attack. Flurry of arrows#1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Flurry of arrows#2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 Damage if hits, arrow#1: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 Damage if hits, arrow#2: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

preceding the obscuring mist; I assume I have a full round. If not, just take my first attack seeing the Hobgoblins break cover, Brodin immediately snaps off a couple of arrows at them so the guys to the North. Targetting nearest, if he falls after first arrow, next nearest. Flurry of arrows#1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 Flurry of arrows#2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 damage if hits, arrow#1: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 damage if hits, arrow#2: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

"How about we scout about for back entrances. I'd be particularly interested to see if there was another entrance on top of the cliff, but I can't see them hiding away where they could get bottled up, and I reckon we would have more chance to surprise them if we can find a back entrance."

Reaching for a couple of arrows, Brodin aims, draws and releases in one fluid movement before stringing the second arrow and repeating the action flurry of arrows#1: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 8 - 4 = 15 Not using deadly aim, -4 for range flurry of arrows#2: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 - 4 = 14 damage if hits, arrow#1: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 damage if hits, arrow#1: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

I believe it was Reynaud, not Garrosh. "Ok, so we need to sell our gems, jewels and excess magic and then see if we can scrape together enough to heal everybody. After that, we'll see about supplies and other stuff we might need."

Are we paying out of group treasure or our personal stash? I'm easy either way - the lodging prices are fair, the meal is a little on the expensive side unless its good quality. If we stay for the night, we will need to double up so as to pay only 5sp each.

Brodin nods at Gilda and the 2 wolves.
Survival, aid another: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 it's auto-success, but I thought I'd better roll

"Well, the way I see it, even if they got out, we'll be long gone. They'll probably just fly back to their nest at the mausoleum, unless they are expert trackers willing to track us across the wilderness in the opposite direction. No it'll be too much hassle for them to stay around."

I'd love to roll a knowledge (nature), but I don't have any ranks and as it can't be used without ranks, I'm really hoping someone else has it and can roll Pulling out a couple of blunt, cold iron arrows from a quiver, Brodin fits then to his bow and shoots. "Let's try these." flurry of arrows #1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Sorry, I assumed we were in a surprise round and Brodin only got 1 standard action (stand up) Drawing his bow as he stands, Brodin looses a single arrow at the nearest gargoyle Composite Longbow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

I was going to suggest you wear them as I don't plan to get in melee often. What's the group consensus? Brodin knows nothing of Endholme or local Nobility, so he accepts Belles observation without comment. |
