Room 1- A waterborne creature that can be negotiated with...one who had entered into an agreement with the Dragon for a mutual protection pact...maybe a selkie?

This could also be the actual location of either a special item or the actual nest/eggs/younglings.

Room 2- Trap CR2 make your own. a trap that sucks body heat (similar to brown mold)
If the party makes any noise/table talk icesciccles fall from the ceiling. Which could also block either doorway, split the party, or cause the floor to collapse sending the party into the icy water of the first pool/stream or another slick icy chute for more adventer as they try to get out of that yeti/frost giant den.

Room 3- The Dead Dragon, a Treasure and some carrion eaters...maybe a severe cold version of a Carrion Crawler
Or it could have brown mold here growing on the dead corpse or some other type of dead feeding creature that springs out.

Room 4- The 1-2 Hatchlings...and a slide trap...that drops the characters down into the room from a ledge, atop some hardened Sharp Ice Crystals.
Here you could also put the hatchlings actually behind a clear icy wall for their protection...look out for the hatchling that gets away with a strong memory of the party's scent for later revenge!

as a possible...maybe give you some ideas.

take your time and think each room through visually as a comic/movie ...think of reactions, sounds, slick floor making fighting harder/falling and losing items that fall out of the pack, torches melting something free... that cursed amulet frozen in the corner.

I've been lurking around here for approximately 2-3 years now. I arrived when I heard about the Shackled City Hardcover, and after picking that up, came to the messageboards for advice on running it. I created an account just one short year ago, and have only recently been posting frequently (about two months or so).

As a Dungeon subscriber, the cancellation and the announcement of Pathfinder last summer really made me interested in the direction that Paizo was going. As I kept getting more and more Pathfinder stuff, I got more and more interested, and with the announcement of the Pathfinder RPG, I knew I had found the right place. That's around when I started posting regularly, and have been doing so since.

So I'd attribute Paizo's recent success to two things: The substantial quality of all of their products, and their keen understanding of their market and how to appeal to them.

I wish WOTC luck with 4e, but it's not me unless I'm running a miniature adventure. I liked the look of Pathfinder and the Dungeon and Dragon magazines. Cudo's for not following into the shadow of 4e, especially if it's not around long, what then WOTC does 4.5 or 5e...they do not have all the answers. I'm still happy with 3.5 and am interested to see where Paizo is going, they're kind of fun stuff. Plus just to let you know about me...I started with the "old" chainmail and AD&D back in 1976...does'nt mean I know more but I do know what I like. G

Has anyone ever broached the blasphemous (to some, I am sure) idea of porting PF material to 4e? I'm sure it wouldn't be easy -- there was alot of sacred hamburger between the pages of the new ruleset -- but I think the return in story depth would be worthwhile.
My group switched to 4e for the 5th module of Rise of the Runelords. With a few monster mods/changes it has worked quite well so far. Our end of the 4th module was a little bigger than written. (Of course Ive also added in a good deal of AOW as well). If you do want to do it you'll need to change/invent some magic items for 4e. Either way the story and detail is what really brought me to Paizo, and keeps me here.

Another thing to consider is ... just how long will 4e be around. I've heard that that they are already working on changing it because they would like a system that'll be around for 10+ years (they make more money that way, less R&D).

Me I like what Paizo is doing and I plan on staying as long as they plan on the quality they've set.
