About BraggalBRAGGAL:
Level 1: Dwarf Rogue Favoured Class: Rogue Alignment: Chaotic Neutral A sinewy dwarf with a bristly black beard. Dark eyes gaze out deep-set eyesockets. His sunken cheeks give him a spectral appearance. He wears grimy, oversized overalls. A stained, hooded dwarven cloak blends in with the grey crud on the street. Strapped to his belt are some workman-like dwarven tools. A hatchet, a chunky hammer. Strapped to his back is a dusty old sling sack. Only the most astute observer would notice the cold glint of chain mail -barely peaking from under his collar.
BACKGROUND:
Braggal was a young and ambitious apprentice when he arrived from Janderhoof with his two uncles. They came with a cart-load of top quality tools for trade in the markets. Braggal had an eye for the business, for spotting shoddy workmanship or sensing ripoffs. He was also quick to familiarize himself with the streets of Korvosa. Business was brisk the earnings were decent. But Braggal's uncles had doubts about the lad. They thought him too uncouth and unclannish. His fascination with Korvosan culture was too liberal for their liking. Braggal himself was still young and naive - a little too high on himself - a little too self-assured for his own good. His thought his old uncles were miserly curmudgeons. He resented them for doubting him, and was unsatisfied with his pay. Impatient and hungry for wealth, he looked to the streets of the city for other business opportunities. He befriended a young lad named Hank..a clever kid who knew the streets and allies. The boy knew where to find good deals. Soon Braggal was hanging out with the kid, frequenting unsavoury establishments and doing business in questionable circles. He was looking for a leg up in the import/export business. The two uncles became increasingly displeased with their wayward young nephew, but their admonishments only estranged Braggal further. As far as he was concerned - they did't give a damn about him - they only cared what a scandal might do to upset their business. One stormy day - in a fit of pique he told them to take their metalwares and shove them up their tight arses. Then he stormed off to start his own trading company.. Cut loose from the trusted reputation of his clan, Braggal's business ventures quickly took a turn for the worse. In fact they spiralled right down the toilet from the moment he started. The story is long and unpleasant to relate. In short - he fell ingnominiously from the respectable life of a tradesman right down to skid row. It was around this time when Braggal and his friend Hank fell in with Gaedren Lamm - and got hooked on the Shiver... Life drifted off into a sordid haze - they lived as thieves and junkies - surviving from one crooked job to another and rummmaging though garbage heaps for anything to sell. They became little more than slaves to the despicable pusher Lamm. Poor Hank eventually fell victim to his fiendish addiction. He wasted away to an early death, but Braggal was made of sterner stuff. A vestige of his pride still remained. When Hank died, the despair and and shock roused Braggal back to his senses. Now Cold Anger has given him a new sense of purpose. Braggal quickly set to work dealing drugs and shoddy wares on the black market - pilfering a few items and raiding a few warehouses along the way. He managed to equip himself for a new career as an adventurer. But first he has some dark dealings to attend to. He acquired good, dwarven axe. He has honed it with care for Gaedren's skinny little throat!
