Blue Star sat down carefully... visions of detention centers and secret experiments dancing in his head. He tried to assess his chances of getting out if push came to shove. Not great... maybe better if everyone bolted at the same time. Still Fury seemed to hold all the cards here. "So what's the story here then? Are we under arrest, or do you have another reason for this meet and greet?"
Blast it all... Cops. Normally, he liked cops, even thought about joining them if it wasn't for things like background checks... But thinking over the smashed windows and broken hydrant, today probably wasn't a good 'cop' day. Not to mention that they were already shouting about mutants. They can't tell the difference between 'regular' heroes and 'mutant' heroes... but they always seemed to assume to blame that X-gene first... Slowly he started to hover above the ground. The robot was down, it didn't look like he was going to get a chance a to examine it... wouldn't know what he was looking at anyway... and if these guys wanted to start shooting randomly at the heroes of the day... then he may as well make himself a better target. He didn't know much about the others gathered here, but he knew that he could take whatever these cops were packing. Unless SWAT showed up... he hadn't tested his skin against THAT kind of firepower... "Hey now... Point those somewhere else! Like at the busted up robot!! Who knows, sometimes they fix themselves!" He glanced over at 'the Standard'. Hopefully he could talk these guys down before anyone else got hurt. He was kind of the posterboy for this kind of stuff...
OK... Robotic... shapechange... Spikes and blades... Tougher then my blasts... Blue Star rattled off his observations in his mind as he thought his next move. Looking around the chosen arena and gladiators he grinned a little. Quickly he spun and shot out a blast at a nearby fire hydrant. Water started shooting out all over the place. "Get him wet guys!"He looked over towards Conduit and the arcs of electricity circling around him. "How 'bout it sparky? Want to see if he has a built in surge protector?"
It had been a while since he'd seen this many superpowered heroes in one place. At least he hoped they were heroes... While uncertain of thier motivations, at least he knew this 'Baltrex' was trying to kill a man lying in a hospital bed. "Ok Mr. Popular... Let's see you shake this off!" His hands coursed with blinding blue energy and blasted a bolt of pure force at his robotic sounding target. d100=55, Hit for 30 force damage
The caped hero looked around the room as as he adjusted his mask. Ok... Let's get going. The noise from the hallway seemed confined to the battle by this point. Flying down the hallway he charged straight at the bruiser aiming for the window. Anyone want to take this outside? D100 =75 = slam on charge column. 26 damage and potential to knock him a few areas. (APB pg 28 for slam, 27 for charging)
Robert's eyes went wide as the hospital exploded into chaos around him. He's been on this story for weeks now... but he hadn't gotten anything useful. Rumors and secrets... He was just about to ask the agents if he was on the right lead when the answer became obvious. As the crowd started pushing and shoving away from the battle, he found it easy enough to duck inside an used room. Quickly he pulled a privacy curtain closed and stripped off his jacket and shoes. There wasn't much Robert Dawson could do here...
Here's what I got for Blue Star :) Spoiler:
Blue Star Secret ID: Robert Dawson F EX (16)
Health: 94
Powers: Energy Blast: RM 30 Energy or Force damage (APB pg 81) Body Resistance: EX 20 (UPB: P2 pg 80) True Flight: EX 20 (UPB: T21 pg 100) Talents: Journalism Artist First Aid Contacts: Professor X Robert Jackson was born a mutant, though he didn't realize it till it was too late. Gifted with the ability to fire massive bursts of energy from his hands, the first time his powers activated he burned down his own house seriously injuring his family. Professor Xavier found the boy on a bridge contemplating ending it all. He was able to convince Robert to come to his school and learn to control his powers in a safe enviroment. Robert agreed. That was all he wanted from Xavier. Once at the academy he realized the underlying concept behind Xavier's dream. Once his students gained a modicum of control they were dressed in tights and sent to fight super powered terrorists. Robert wanted none of that. Once his powers were under control, he took his leave of the school. He believed Xavier had his heart in the right place, but Robert knew that the 'x-men' would cause more damage to human/mutant relations than ever. If you wanted to prove mutants could live in society, then live in society. After leaving the school, he traveled around, changing his name when he could. Blue Star made his debut when Robert discovered what a hypocrite he was. He had zero intention of ever using his powers against people or dressing in costume... but when he saw that woman being attacked he just acted. Soon the villain was knocked out, and Robert had flown away feeling good about himself. Soon he sewed a brightly colored costume and dedicated himself to helping others when he could. Now he works as freelance security as Robert Dawson, and Blue Star when the need for the costume comes out. Costume: Basic Red spandex, with blue boots, gloves and cape. Mask is a '1/2 cowl' similar to Captain Marv-ell. However, his star is a blue outlined in yellow, and he has a dark brown hair. Like the standard generic superhero, he keeps his costume under his clothes.
