Male Human Cleric 3

"Sssss," Blue makes a mischievousness hissing sound behind Rorie.

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue assists with searching the nest.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue speaks up, "I think I could put the ring to good use. If another is interested, however, we could perhaps cast lots."

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue stays quietly back, alert and on guard for potentially more ghouls or other unwanted visitors.

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue fires a Storm Burst into the square that they are attacking.

Storm Burst (ranged touch)
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 nonlethal
Inflicts -2 to attack rolls for 1 round

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue casts resistance on Smian, and then spreads out by moving 30' diagonally to the right and forward.

Male Human Cleric 3

Cast resistance on Addam.

{ooc]Addam appears to be standing in front of me. If this is accurate, I cast resistance on him. If he is gone before my turn, I cast on Smian.[/ooc]

Male Human Cleric 3

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Blue slides over and clasps Rorie's shoulder, casting resistance.

If Rorie advances before my initiative, I stay put and cast it on myself. Also, which lacedon is the captain?

Male Human Cleric 3

"Mother Thrunefang," Blue says aloud, as much to himself as anyone as recent events clear in his thoughts.

"By chance, as it were, the taste of man flesh doesn't agree with us. We're forced to decline your offer."

Immediately, Blue casts protection from evil on Gothard, and takes a 5' step backwards.

---

Prot from evil bestows a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves. Also, the subject immediately receives another saving throw (if one was allowed to begin with) against any spells or effects that possess or exercise mental control over the creature with a +2 morale bonus, using the same DC as the original effect. Last, it prevents bodily contact by evil summoned creatures.

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue gathers his composure and addresses her directly, "Ieana, I presume?"

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue's thoughts rush back to the captain's letter in the hole under the lighthouse camp.

"A welcome escape from what hideous unlife looms before me...I was enslaved mind and body to a serpentine demon who wore a Varisian’s skin...seek out what I have become and destroy me...then seek out Ieana and slay her as well.”

Blue gasps, and then exclaims, "The serpentine demon has shed her skin!"

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue quickly whispers back, "Don't invoke its name...surely it is the foul god of those serpent altars we saw."

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue places a hand on Gothard's shoulder, casting Bull's Strength.

30-round duration, +4 enhancement bonus to STR

Male Human Cleric 3

While Addam slowly creeps ahead to investigate, Blue pauses to prepare for the worst.

Blue casts resistance on Gothard.

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue studies the area for tidal activity, and takes another look at the beach, the water and the vertical tunnel.

"Hmmm." Blue scratches his chin and thinks back to the emptying of the bay by Red Mountain.

Knowledge/nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Male Human Cleric 3

After his cautious search of the corpses, Blue examines the final image showing the exposed rocks of the seabed.

Knowledge/nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue cautiously looks over the pile of corpses. He takes his time.
Can I take 20 on this?

Afterwards, Blue makes his way over to where the others are examining the carved images and text.

Male Human Cleric 3

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Male Human Cleric 3

Another spontaneous casting:
(using one of the prot from evil spells)
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue makes his way over to Addam to render aid.

Spontaneous casting
(using one of the bless spells)
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Spiritual Weapon:

Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue moves to the edge of, but not into, the pool. He uses his lightning arc ability, sending lightning into the water at last known position.

Lightning Arc:
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

The trident continues to attack its target.

Spiritual Weapon:

Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue exclaims, "I know how to gig an octopus!" He mouths a prayer to Gozreh, and a spiritual trident appears, attacking the octopus.

Spiritual Weapon
To hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Spiritual weapon attacks my designated target within a range of 130 ft. It continues attacking the same target until I use a move action to designate a new target. The duration is 1 round/level.

Male Human Cleric 3

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Male Human Cleric 3

Preferring to rid them of that altar first, Blue sighs. He also knows that Gothard and Addam may need him. He follows after them.

"Try to conserve those arrows, mates," he whispers to the archers.

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue moves to the square vacated by Gothard. Now in the thick of things, he once again channels energy.

Channel Energy: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10

DC11 will save for half damage

Male Human Cleric 3

Stay close together! Blue holds his holy symbol high.

Blue will hold his action until all or nearly all of the ghouls have advanced. He will then move a little if necessary (to catch all or nearly all the ghouls) and channel energy in a 30' burst. Channeling energy does not provoke an attack.

Channel Energy2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8
DC11 will save for half damage

Male Human Cleric 3

As best as I'm able, I attempt to assist the party in making sense of the chamber of serpents. See my knowledge roll above.

After the party has investigated the chamber, I add a few thoughts...

"I have several concerns, friends," I say aloud. "Please give me your attention."

"Firstly, this foul altar can not be allowed to remain, especially if we are to make our camp here. I propose that Jask and I desacralize it with haste. And afterwards, we should consecrate our camp. If you all will allow me, I will consecrate a simple shrine to Gozreh...perhaps a small altar of driftwood under the open sky would please him. The ashes of our martyr, Luther, will bless this place.

Secondly, although I would agree that yon passage beckons for exploration, I ask that we first see to the safety of this campsite, and to our nourishment. I suggest that for now we simply post a guard over this hole, and that the majority of us spend this day procuring game or forage. And perhaps even a second day. Once we are confident of our security and supplies, then we should by all means root out whatever mysteries may lie below this isle.

I also can't help but regret the mostly empty quivers of our exceedingly lethal archers. Addam and Aloysha, do you have any suggestions? I wish we could procure supplies or craft more.

And let's not forget of the Red Mountain Devil. I have never seen or heard of such a bloodthirsty beast. Though it is wounded, let us not overlook it. I do not wish to cross it unprepared...with arrowless archers."

Male Human Cleric 3

Knowledge/Nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Male Human Cleric 3

After attending to healing, water and rations, I claim one each: potion of cure light wounds, potion of lesser restoration, antitoxin and tanglefoot bag.

Be assured that although I carry these items, I carry them for you all. If anyone needs them, they are yours."

Male Human Cleric 3

Knowledge/Nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

I examine the dried jerky and attempt to determine if it is fowl, reptile, human, etc.

Male Human Cleric 3

"In my opinion, we should move our camp here. If some of you will see to securing this place, I will help tend to our rations, water and wounds.

Blue uses spells and healing surges as needed, creates fresh water, and detects poison.

Male Human Cleric 3

"I do think the lighthouse should be our destination."

I pause a moment and gaze off in the direction of the Red Mountain Devil's flight. "Let us not forget the devil of this mountain is still near. Let us be on guard for signs of it, and finish it if we can."

Male Human Cleric 3

On Luther:
Sense Motive 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

On the shaking and water:
Knowledge/Nature 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Male Human Cleric 3

Hit Points:
1d8 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

Male Human Cleric 3

I assist with the corpses. For the ones that are practical to retrieve, I begin piling them into a pyre (after they are thoroughly searched).

Male Human Cleric 3

At an opportune moment, Blue gathers the injured around him, and petitions Gozreh to heal them.

Channel Energy 1: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Channel Energy 2: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Channel Energy 3: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Male Human Cleric 3

At Rorie's call, I turn and move quickly to them, thrusting with my trident at the shiv dragon mauling Gothard.

30' move, then a melee attack at #33

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
1d8 ⇒ 8

Male Human Cleric 3

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Ammo:
Lightning Arc: 4/8

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue whispers a prayer and presents his holy symbol towards the red devil.

Casts cause fear, frightened for 1d4 rounds, or on a successful DC16 Will, shaken for 1 round.

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue moves to assist Gelik. Taking out cloth bandages, Blue binds the worst of the wounds.

Move diagonally two squares to position himself sort of between Jask and the miniature in the green cloak. Expend Guidance on the healing check.

Healing: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15

Male Human Cleric 3

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Lightning Arc Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

I will continue doing this unless otherwise specified

Male Human Cleric 3

Continuing round 10 after the free action knowledge check, Blue tries to shock the closest enemy (currently 17) He expends his Guidance on the attack roll.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Ammo:
Lightning Arc 2/8
Storm Burst 0/8

Male Human Cleric 3

Knowledge / Nature: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Male Human Cleric 3

After shocking the cannibal with an arc of lightning, Blue affords a quick look up into the sky, searching out the source of the noise.

Male Human Cleric 3

Settling into his new position along shorter cliff edge along the final approach, Blue turns his head to the left for a moment and nods confidently to Rorie.

same plan, I am going to stay ready to use my ranged touch attacks on approaching enemies. I plan on staying along the edge of the cliff, but on the section that is not so high that it takes me out of range.

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue waits for an enemy to come into range...

Ready an action...as soon as #2 comes around into range, I will use lightning arc on him.

Lightning Arc (ranged touch): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Male Human Cleric 3

Blue holds his position, waiting for their foes on the final approach.
