Adventure 1B has two dangers. So, when you encounter a danger, do you get to pick or is it random which of the two you encounter?

OK, my player built a Human Fighter and took Versatile Heritage. From there, he took Natural Ambition, which gave him a 1st Level Figher Feat. He chose Double Slice. As a fighter, he gained access to another level 1 Fighter Feat, and he chose Sudden Charge. So, the question becomes if he uses Sudden Charge to stride 2x speed and strike, can the strike be a Double Slice?

Recently, I had a large order including the revised Crimson setting. It was a very expensive order and also contained all my monthly materials. When it didn't arrive with several days of shipping, I contacted Paizo. They checked and said that the post office showed it 'In Transit,' and I would have to contact them to initiate a case to find the package.

I did so (hard to do since you can only do it during business hours - who does that any more in this day - only the Post office). They opened a case, and an agent called two days later. She basically said that the status was the status, denied they ever received the package, and said I had to contact the shipper.

I did so, and Paizo immediately sent out a replacement.

Now, I've had over 162 orders with Paizo, and this is the first time I can remember having a problem. In this case, since the post office showed it 'in transit,' to me that seems they implicitly acknowledged the package was in their system. I hope Paizo pursues this with those rascals because I don't see how this can be Paizo's fault.

Anyway, Paizo is the best!

Help please as I took my game over to my sons to play but left a setup on my table that has a different scenario. As bad luck would have it i need two of the same location cards. Can I get someone to list stuff for mountain peak and temple please?
Need the numbers of cards, the at this location, when closing, and when permanently closed please

Does this include all the smaller Divinity series PDFs?

This has probably been asked, but the search function seems kind of screwed up since the reorganization of the forum.

Discard this card to succeed at a check to acquire a weapon, an armor, or an item.

This does not say 'your check,' but this awesome spell is even more powerful if it can be used for anyone's check.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I know I remember seeing the complete list of cards somewhere for the box and character add-on, but my search doesn't turn it up. Anyone have a link to it at hand?

Scenario: Lini is exploring the Prison, where there are two cards. She turns over Pit Trap ("If defeated, you may immediately explore again. If undefeated, each character at this location is dealt 1d4 Combat damage.")

She plays her Potion of Ghostly Form ("Banish this card and choose a character at your location. That character may evade a barrier, and then may immediately explore again.")

The player says "great, now I get to encounter the henchman or villain and close."

I say "not so fast. You must put the barrier back in the deck and shuffle the two cards, and you may re-counted the barrier."

The player says in another game, they banished the barrier. I think he may be thinking of another barrier like Secret Stash ("If defeated, examine the top 3 cards of the location deck and shuffle 1 item, weapon, or blessing (if any) of your choice into your character deck. Return the remaining cards to the location deck in any order. If undefeated, you may banish this barrier.")

I THINK if you use Ghostly Form on Secret Stash, it gets banished, but Pit Trap goes back in the deck.
Right?

Lightning Touch (Intelligence/Arcane 4 to acquire) - Magic, Arcane, Attack, Electricity, Basic
"For your combat check, discard this card to roll your Arcane die+2d4 with the Electricity trait.

Acid Arrow (Intelligence/Arcane 4 to acquire) - Magic, Arcane, Attack, Acid, Elite
"For your combat check, discard this card to roll your Arcane die+2d4 with the Acid trait.

One's basic, the other's elite with the only difference being the Electricity and Acid tags.

Waz up with dat?

I searched for Zarongel and couldn't find the answer, so sorry if this has been asked, but when are you supposed to add the promo in? With Deck 2 when you start it?

A character is chilling in the Warrens after having acquired a boon there. The next player is at another location (doesn't matter where) and encounters the skeleton horde, which makes everyone at an open location encounter a skeleton henchman.

Now, literally, the player at the Warrens has encountered a monster (the summoned henchman), and now must place yet another random monster on top of a random open location. I cannot believe that's what the designers intended. Should the Warren's "At this Location" be modified to say if you encounter a monster other than a summoned monster....?

A related question is what if the player used a card (say potion of hiding) to evade? Would he still have had to place a random monster on a random open location? Would it matter if he had used an Invisibility spell instead of the potion of hiding?

1) Seoni uses her power to discard a card for d10 instead of strength. It says it counts as playing a spell. So if the card I discharge is a spell card, can she automatically recharge it? (I think answer is no)
2) Lini discards a card to do her roll d10 rather than strength. It's an animal, can she recharge it? (I think no)
3) Valeros defeats a chest barrier and gets to put 4 random items in his hand. Unfortunately, he has no way to explore again and he has 8 cards (the 4 he had originally were weapons). Can he keep his new cards and recharge his weapons? (since he has the power to recharge rather than discard weapons) (I think answer is also no because he didn't play the weapons).

If the answer to #3 is no, (which I'm sure it is), that sure nerfs the chest's rewards.

OK, so let's say my character is Ezren with no Divine skill. I'm exploring and I encounter a Detect Evil spell. Can I use my d4 buffed up with some blessings and whatever other help the other characters can give to acquire it so that I can pass it to Kyra on a future turn when she's at my location?

What I'm really asking is the power that says "If you do not have the Divine skill, banish this card." -- when does that power get invoked?

Here's what I think: Ezren can acquire the card, and he's not forced to use the power, so he doesn't have to banish it. He can therefore keep it until he and Kyra are together at a location at the start of his turn, when he can then pass it to her?

This is somewhat contrived, as I can't see doing this for a Detect Evil, but there are better spells that this might be important.

Did I screw up some setting somewhere somehow or are the stickied threads gone? Please, please bring them back!

I stored a link to a topic regarding RotR, but now, when I click on the link, it just goes to the list of threads. How do I get to the threads no longer on the list?

Also, why is the search function so useless on these boards? All I ever get is a bunch of user profiles.

I know it's hard to believe that someone is just getting started with RotR but we are. Question: Who died in the goblin attacks? I think this is a glaring ommission in the text but I can't find a gone listed, just that the deaths were thankfully few.

Do we know what the coins of Varisia look like? I searched the Rise of the Runelords Path, but no matter what I search for, all I get is a bunch of user profiles, no forum entries.

Does anyone know what the picture is on p. 12 of the Player's Guide? It shows what I believe are the ruins of some ancient Thassilonian city, but there is no caption or anything by which to identify it.

I am a subscriber to everything, and I want to go back and make up the stuff before I became a subscriber. Why do I have to pay twice for the hard copy and the PDF of the back-issues? It seems like a subscriber should get the PDF of back-issues free once he purchases the hard copy.
