Burnout happens, and it's better to recognize it. Do what you need to do.

Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

He shrugs, "Мне платят меньше, но расходы намного ниже."

Russian:
"I get paid less, but the expenses are much lower."

"Yes they are." He'll call out to the Rhino, "Алекси, как дела? Это плохое время? Как насчет того, чтобы сбросить этих проигравших и выпить?"

Russian:
Alexi, how's it going? Is this a bad time? How about dumping these losers and having a drink?

"Anybody need a ride?" he asks as he heads into the sky. Telekinetic force lifts anybody looking for a lift.

He chuckles at the use of the song. He was proud of that little ditty. He had composed it under a pseudonym and designed it specifically to annoy Spider-Man.

Apocalypse chuckles, "I'm not sure how well it would get his attention. Between clones, alternate timelines, parallel universes and convergent accidents it seems like there are plenty of Spider-Men to go around. He might just figure it's Tuesday."

"Ah raids. Getting a bunch of people together and hoping everybody is on the same page." hes says, as if quite familiar with the subject. "It's sort of like the old days when I had minions."

Apocalypse seems happy. "It was quite pleasant. My uber driver had a great voice and I encouraged him to sing on the way here. Five star review."

"Trust me, that's one souvenir you don't want, Felix." Says the doctor as he unconsciously rubs his shoulder.

The doctor nods that he is through. He can't help but feel good about seeing the Caped Crusader up close and not having to worry about him. Too much, at least.

Dr. Apocalypse wrote:

"Oh, no tools will be necessary. I never went in for that." He will begin by patting down Harvey for his coin. "In fact, I think we can perhaps get Dent to cooperate willingly. What do you say? Heads you take the easy way. Tails, we do it the hard way?"

With that, he'll flip the coin. Very precisely. He didn't use his telekinesis, for that gave off a silver glow. But when he learned all of the skills of the city of Metropolis, there were a few stage magicians in town.

"See, heads. Fate wants you to play nice."

[dice=persuasion]1d20+20

Doh, I missed that. A problem with posting while distracted.

"Let's see what we can do."

He'll begin binding the wounds and readying him to wake up.

treatment: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (20) + 17 = 37

Sleight of hand: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

"See, heads. Fate wants you to play nice."

persuasion: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (18) + 20 = 38

The Doctor keeps ready to redirect Gundy if he starts to go off the rails.

He sighs internally. Having focused Grundy on the Batman, he then shows up to interfere with the plan. Still, he had to work with what he had.

"Damnit! Two-face has ruined my plan. Grundy, you must take him out first! He is your top priority."

deception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

The Doctor will gesture for the others to go past as he distracts the zombie. "I've been looking for you. Batman has been causing problems and I need your strength to break him. You remember all the things that he has done to you, right? It is time to get revenge! Are you with me?"

It seems that while you can take the evil out of the villain, you can't stop the power of the monologue!

Persuasion (fascinate): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25

"Solomon!" the doctor says cheerfully. "It's been so long. You are unchanged, as usual I see. We'll be going now."

It's quick and cheerful and playing on the big guy's confusion.

deception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

insight on 2-face: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

While he's disrupted, the Doc flexes his brain and lifts up Absorbo out of reach of any other materials.

TK grab: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
TK grab, luck reroll: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

The Doctor will tear a chunk of wood off of the door and telekinetically hold it against him. "This should keep him like wood."

telekinesis: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

If you physically shot yourself in the foot would it buy you time?

initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

"Then by all means, please show us in." he says cordially. Given Dent's madness, there was a chance of getting what we wanted without further bloodshed. A small chance, but a chance nonetheless.

The doctor will whisper to Darkstorm. "Movement ahead. Hold out your arm and I'll lead you." He keeps any comments about ghosts who can't handle the dark to himself, but he does seem amused.

The Doctor needs no light. He simply feels the environment telekinetically.

perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

The Doctor drops, knowing his body will adapt to absorb the impact of falling.

The Doctor says nothing, not apologizing for using a different method nor promising to keep out. While the Bat was unkind to criminals, he rarely rose to harming potential allies. It had happened, but rarely.

The doctor will carefully set down the captured gun. He seems pleased to meet the legend.

Sorry, the message count didn't update

The Doctor continues performing surgery with his stolen gun.

attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

2 people marked this as a favorite.

"Now, that's not polite. Nor very accurate. Let me show you how you shoot a foe." Unconcerned with their attacks, he takes aim with the gun at the one who shot at Masumi. Using their own weapons against them.

attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

The Doctor will Grab at one of the machine guns to take it away.

disarm: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

If shot, he'll adapt to the bullets, becoming immune.

initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

He'll begin to eat, tasting everything. He'll be on watch for any changes in reaction to the food.

The Doctor moves to sit down, "How delightful." Inside he is worried for some of the others. He knows that he can be bulletproof when he needs to be.

The doctor can't resist the obvious line. "Oh, Superman was involved, but we flipped for it."

The Doctor gets up to go with them. "We'd do better together." He seems confident, despite burning many bridges when he did his about-face.

*sighs that nobody got the reference*

"Lee Ho Fook's comes highly recommended by a well-dressed aquaintance." he rolls off at a moment's notice.

"The best assumption is to assume that our mere presence will offend the Batman. On the other hand, he usually keeps it to a tongue lashing for people helping to fight crime." As he talks, he unconsciously rubs his shoulder.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The Doctor notes the slip of the tongue and files it away for later.

The Doctor will nod, "...and a sense of paranoia. Even among people vouched for by somebody you trust, you tend to want to observe them for yourselves before revealing one's inner self."

The Doctor raises an eyebrow as the walk towards the group waiting for them. "There's no need to tempt fate. It does a good enough job playing with us already." He shrugs, "On the other hand, it might be good to think about what we could do in such a situation. It's a tight space with lots of bystanders. Collateral damage could cause depressurization or a loss of airworthiness."

To the spaceport... er, airport.

As the Doctor looks on with purely academic interest, he notes that it would be legal in New York so long as Felix is under 21. Once she is seventeen, then she is legally competent to choose anybody.

For a few days, the Doctor wasn't seen. He had ordered a few strange components and was busy working in his room. When he does emerge, Atsuko will happen to catch a glimpse of the device in his room. There's a round field of flickering energy and in the center there is a strange sight. A dusty grey wasteland with a dark sky.

He emerges with a smile, "Good day."

1d4 ⇒ 1

How about setting a limit on RP time. Say, continuing with the main plot on Wednesday?

"Oh, let me give a report to the bomb squad and then we can head off to talk to the boss man."

"Oh, how about a general level of heightened vigilance with especial attention to Gotham. Noted." And as he has dealt with the bomb, he focused on the Cardinal's words.

insight: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32

This week is going to be pretty crazy. Lots of meetings at work, and juggling termite tenting, prep and taking care of the dogs in my off time.

I'm not sure how much time I'll have, so please robot me as needed.

While all this is going on, the Doctor is cheerfully dismantling the bomb.

technology: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28

"I agree that we should search and deal with this ourselves. We don't know what scale this is." As he speaks, he is binding up the device to ensure that it doesn't go off if he's hit unexpectedly.
