Besmara has her ship repaired and a bit improved.

The search for Harrigan brings up another ship first: The Dominator. With some skillful sailing they manage to lure the Dominator into waters where the sea is only 100 feet deep. There Trytton creates a large whirl, that sends the Dominator to the ground. All the chelaxian marines are not too good when it comes to swimming, especially with sharks around.

After almost a month of constructions and magic preparations the crew of the Kraken manages to lift the Dominator from the ground again and take it over into the now three ships large fleet. Once again they sail to Rickety for some repairs and a new branding. For this ship these are only the typical kraken-sails and a renaming to Dominatrix. Besmara takes the command of that ship herself and hands the Kraken to Estelle. With Lito commanding the Threser, this is an impressive fleet. With the Dominatrix there are also new ship weapons in the game. Equipped with 20 cannons which can be moved to either starboard or port, it is a deadly fortress once it is in reach.

After another month of cruising around and making a name for them, finally Lito gets the crucial tip, where to find Harrigan and the Wormwood. Using an Island for hiding, the Kraken acts as bait, together with the Threser for a feint. Attacking the Wormwood and then fleeing as the counter attack starts, Harrigan sees too late, that the Dominatrix lies alongside in a cloud of fog.

Firing a few full broadsides, the Wormwood is reduced to splinters. It was a nice sip, but it had too many bad memories to keep it. After making sure, none of the officers of the wormwood get away alive, the crew is fished out of the sea, and the Dragonhead of the ship too, as a trophy.

With the Rock as a base and a mighty fleet, soon everyone is going to know the three captains. And either there will be an invitation into the council, with them offering a feast that is worthy of Besmara and her companions, or Tessa Fairchild should hurry to get rid of Kerdak Bonefist. If not Besmara will kick that one off his throne, and take that seat.

Besmara turns beet red. She would really like to cut that squid-huggers tongue out. Or other vital parts. "You know what? This s+$*ty pirate council, who has nothing to offer but hoops to jump through and asses to kiss can keep their seat. I'm done here."

She turns on her heel and leaves, orders the crew to set sail and course to the docks of Rickety Squibs to get the ship repaired properly.

Besmara talks to Zarena, the only survivor of the sunken Barnacled B%#%! offering her to come along on the Kraken to find Harrigan and the Wormwood and send them both to the bottom of the sea.

"You see? He disqualified him! DISQUALIFIED!" Besmara rubs under Lito's nose. "I could have sunken Harrigan as well, and get away with it."

"Meh." Besmara replies. "Set course and get us to the master of Gales.

The Kraken comes in a distant second. Taking a turn, Besmara moors the ship along the Master of Gales Ship. "Hey Chief, that scumbag Harrigan had his ship mage Pepper Longfarthing send two summoned invisible stalkers on our ship to get us off course on the last stretch."

"I'd had him sunk for that, were it not for you watching over the rules. So what are you going to do about that cheating sonnovab~@@@?"

"What now? We need to get this leaking scumbucket into some dock to get it fixed - so it's worth to be called a ship again." Besmara fumes.

"This is... " Besmara starts, then runs to the rails and shouts at Trytton "Sink that bastards ship!"

Besmara throws a volley of daggers at the creature, but she is lucky, that she doesn't pierce her own crew with that.

Besmara retreats away from the monsters.

Besmara sees it coming and closes her eyes just in time. Then she turns on one of the stalker.

"Whaaaat? Rid me of these... whatever they are!" Besmara shouts at Noonan.

"I prefer fighting normal sailors. Don't you have something magic to shoot at it? Or to simply get rid of it? Besmara asks.

"Trytton! Blast it out of the air!" Besmara orders, all her frustration about that s%%# being out of reach for her and her weapons and being another threat that could take apart the ship.

Besmara climbs on board. "We take the long way around." She orders, not interested in sending her baby to the ground of the sea.

That's actually not the worst idea. It would be a tad better if we could stuff the hole from the outside, but then you'd need to be able to breathe underwater. Which is why I am borrowing your idea now.

Besmara hands the steering wheel to Lito again and jumps into the sea. Turning into a manta ray she swims around the ship and checks where the hole is. As soon as she finds it, she covers it with her body until Estelle could fix it from the inside.

Be careful though. Don't nail the captain. At least not that way. :P

Besmara orders half the crew under deck to pump water and carry it out with buckets.

Make Whole someone?

"I had nothing to do with the death of that monster. I just wanted to play bait to keep it from the ship. But Trytton is in his element here." Besmara replies. Looking down at herself she shrugs. "Then I'll add to the challenge. With that weather we're in now, it makes no difference anyway."

Besmara cuts short the curve that leads the Kraken through the rocks to get onboard again.

Besmara isn't unhappy about the turtle no going after her. But that direction is too close after the ship for her liking.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Besmara avoids most of the heat, but it's still painful. As she doesn't want to end inside that beast she swims around it in the hopes to distract it.

"Lito take the steering wheel." Besmara orders and jumps overboard to keep that ugly thing away from her ship. As she dives into the water she transforms into a manta ray and swims towards the turtle with incredible speed.

Take all the encounters and put them on several treasure maps. Also there is still the Dominator. Besmara wanted to take over this Chelaxian Warship to fly her flag on.

The part that we might actually be able to pull that stunt is kinda ridiculous.

The book Noonan suggested might be nice, but even though >500 pages is reasonably priced for $40, it is still a sum. And it's also >500 pages you would have to read.

Besmara leaves the course and maps stuff to Lito and concentrates on getting the most out of the ship despite the bad currents.

"That's a good one." Besmara states as she steers the Kraken on the given course.

Besmara spots the few reefs that are on that path pretty easy and avoids them, only the last she notices almost too late.

But she curves the Kraken around it at the last moment.

Hanging on to the steering wheel Besmara calls out "Can someone check how we get through this, from here on?"

"Chay, do you have a spell that allows to communicate over some distance?" Besmara asks the wizard.

"Let's do this!" Besmara states. "Set course to Port Peril and get us registered for that race."

Besmara looks at the silken sails with the Kraken dyed into them and then back at Lito and into his eyes searching for signs of a concussion. "Fairwind did a pretty good job on you. Before you give commands on the ship again we need to check that you still remember the four cardinal directions."

Our other ship is much faster. It is built slim.

"You're the one doing the carpenting. My new bed still waits for assembly and installation. You can have the old one if ya like it." Besmara offers.

"I got a new bed already. What else would you want to update about the ship?"

"That maps Fairwind gave us." Besmara replies. "Magic!"

"We got the perfect maps, we got the fee paid, considering it is the least we can do. And you talk about pirates as if they were a disgusting lot without honor." Besmara replies. "And who says that we aren't the worst cheaters?" she adds with a grin.

"Lito took one for the crew!" Besmara calls out, mocking him. "But a seat on the council might be nice. I bet they don't have a proper representative of lazy ass pirating yet. You got an idea whom we are facing there with our 'speed boat'?"

"It took you quite some time to explain that to her." Besmara states. "And it looks like you had fun explaining it to her." she teases him.

On the ship

"You missed a party, by lying around dead. Want some of the leftover wine?" Besmara asks Estelle, once Estelle is done making the crew miserable again.

Besmara's ears are ringing. "I guess someone's talking about me."

"Yes, thank you. We need to leave now." Besmara replies.

And to Estelle she adds "I think the crew misses your drill already. They are bored and get funny ideas."

"I'll make sure to order you the next time to get her without getting yourself killed." Besmara jokes.

"Use your head first the next time. Dying is a pretty expensive pastime." Besmara scolds Estelle.

"Right now, you look better than her." Besmara replies with relief on her face. "Welcome back." she says and gives Estelle a big hug.

"Well, I can tell you something about a spy ring." Besmara tells and gives some parts of what they found out about the Jasper Leaf Apothecary and the owner as well as the accomplices they found. She also hands over the coins to pay for that diamond.

"How much?" Besmara inquires.

"Yes. Can you fix that?" Besmara asks.

ON the ship Besmara tells Sandara to take over the command and asks Trytton and Jessica to come along to bring Estelle's body to the House of Stolen Kisses. Using a cart and a blanket to not draw unwanted attention.

As second time visitors Besmara expects to get to meet with the high priestess, to discuss the terms.

"You want some privacy with her?" Besmara asks with a sly grin. "You can go alone. I will visit the House of Stolen Kisses first next morning to get Estelle back to the living."

Besmara throws a small party for those who are interested with a nice meal from Fishguts matching the wine. "Cheers!" It's double the fun to drink that from the stylish glasses.

No one questioned that. And as such you'll get 100 gold like every other fully functional part of the crew.

The sad truth is though, that pets are treated better than the crew. You have my respect for being an upright and honourable man who forgoes the perks of being a pet to keep his dignity.

"Maybe you offer your service by checking the ladies beforehand?" Besmara suggests to Sandara with a grin.

"Lito, are you going to make us a fortune, by selling the stuff in the belly of the Kraken? We need some spending money, for us and the crew."

Besmara could make use of the headband. For extra skills and max acrobatics. Also a dress or two, the crystal glasses and the wine would match :)
