![]() I guess I need to invest in feats and such to be able to push mobs back. I need to get five feet distance to get my hammer in play. Or learn to attack with my shield and then 5 ft step back or something or rethink my character concept. Yes, I have that sword for a reason but that hammer is the one with the most power. ![]()

![]() Waiting for his turn to be called Bert walks to the middle of the courtroom. "My name is Bert Shieldworn, I was a guard in Riddleport but have recently come here for other business. The group I am with and me, went to Herstag to examine the evidence the prosecution presented. Others will talk about some of that evidence but I am here to describe a fight with a very powerful wraith. This wraith was found near the hill southwest of the town. In our discussions with the Beast, he mentioned a "night ghost" that he couldn't damage. As you can see, I am not a small man, but not nearly as large as the defendant. I also had issues with damaging the wraith except for some magical help on my weapon, which the beast did not have. The wraith touches you and he causes you to become weaker and your weapons and such pass right through it. Luckily, we were able to kill the wraith..err again. But we had to do that as a team. If we had not been a team, it would have been impossible." ![]() Question: Since my shield is all but worthless as a weapon against the incorpreal, I am thinking I can just hold it for more AC but not take the penalty (or as much as one). Seems that's the consensus on some sites, but couldn't find one on Paizo's site, someone asking. I think it amounts to a +1 to my attack bonus, but still that's more important than losing 2 AC, I think. Of course, once I get my shield up to +1 or something, that will go away. ![]()

Assuming so, step back--I moved my large me. Lucerne Hammer,B/P, REACH, Big: 1d20 + 6 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 1 - 1 = 11 damage, if hits: 3d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5, 4, 3) + 4 + 1 = 17 So the loss to dex hurts because it drops me below the requirment for two weapon fighting, so my Attack bonus goes from +4 BAB +3 Str +1 enhancement to +4 BAB +4 Str -1 Size +1 enhancement, leaving me at +4. Damaage changes to 3d6+5 though. So another note to self, get more dex. PS. I have combat reflexes with 2 AOO if it comes up. ![]()
