Hey Guys! Arius, you should add Temp Hp to your status spoiler. Irravin, I think your AC in your spoiler is off. The info on your character sheet looks right to me. You should have 18AC, then 22 with Mage armor. Sorry if it seems like I'm always criticizing. Just trying to get things smooth. Its always tough when we get back into combat for the first time in awhile.
You might be mixing damage and attack bonuses? It should be much higher than +9. For attack:BAB +6, Dex +6, Bow +2, +1 wpn focus. Your primary attack has +15, which I see written on your sheet. Your extra attack from having +6 bab is at a -5, and using rapidshot gives -2 to all attacks. Lastly, Many Shot makes your first attack count for 2 arrows. I calculate: +13(x2)/+13 (rapid)/+13 (accelerate)/+8 (high bab). Each will do 1d8+7 (+3 str, +2 bow, +2 wpn spec). I see this written on your sheet as well, although for rapier. I think you need to swap the damage done by rapier/bow. They have 19AC. But shh... that's a secret.
Reminder regarding looking behind spoilers: We've relaxed the rules from previous. Feel free to look behind spoilers for other characters or locations so we can all enjoy whats going on. If the spoiler requires a skill check or similar dice requirement you should NOT look behind it. Once the event has passed you can look behind it at another point in time. If the spoiler has something to the effect of (no looking) attached to it, then do not look unless you otherwise meet the requirements. This will be used in situations like the beloved doppelganger encounter.
Yo guys. Consider the following as players rather than characters. The Divine Visage could send some Facets to support you in your endeavors in Mercia. These would be several characters that you guys would take some responsibility in creating, leveling, and managing. You would not control their actions directly, but their time and efforts in Mercia would be up to you. Think about whether you have the attention and effort to spare to make this successful. That should be the driving force behind the decision.
I intended to post a link to a google doc with our house rules, however the document is currently stored on my computer in Austin! I'll postpone posting it until next week. There are a few other comments I wanted to make: Currently Dervish, myself, and Nyrus often text about our post intentions and rule clarifications. Since the jig is up that GozrehTime has ensouled Arius, I think we should switch to using google hangouts for this conversation so he can join us. I believe I'm connected with everyone but Nyrus (to whom I just sent an invite) and I'll create a central chat channel when that is complete. In the spirit of moving things along, I'd like to start using non-explicit dialogue at certain times. For example, rather than using quotations and bold text to address several NPCs who may not be that important we can instead: Candor enters the inn, greeting all who engage him fondly. Although he readily shares his exploits with any who ask, he never mentions the forbidden knowledge he acquired in the cursed book. I feel like that may hasten certain multi-post encounters that don't necessary add a lot to the story. As a rule of thumb: If NPCs use explicit or non-explicit dialogue try to respond in kind. If you are initiating the conversation, choose whichever you like. At any given moment, if you wish to speak explicitly then by all means do so. Since its come up, please add your CMD to your status spoilers. I'll try to post a spoilered CMD of enemies for you to look at AFTER you decide to use a maneuver. Thus you may resolve the rest of your turn/rolls with the knowledge of your maneuvers success or failure (such as gaining a +4 attack bonus against a tripped opponent, or deciding to dedicate more attacks to tripping). Let me know your thoughts!
Vladimir may make a called shot on the pincers with a -2. Each successful attack will lower the CMB/CMD of the remorhaz for grapples by 4. Because of Vladimir's accelerated state, he may make 1 attack and then attempt to free himself as his full turn. Alternatively he can full attack (with 1 extra attack from accelerate) and hopefully weaken the pincers to where the remorhaz will fail its future grapple attempts against him. Let me know your thoughts or if you have any questions.
Rules for battle on poles over a 10 ft pit:
If you are struck, you must make an additional dc10 acrobatics check or fall. If you are compelled to move by an opponent they may choose to make you fall. If you fall you may make a dc15 athletics (climb) check to catch yourself. You are considered on the poles but prone. If you fall below half hp add +5 to all DCs. I wanted to make a concentration check to cast spells, but it seems balancing does not require such a check. Let me know if anything needs to be clarified.
I think this concludes Irravin's test! I think Dervish and I should commence his soon. During this time I think Irravin could explore his staff, Verndar, the Enclave, the abyssal book, or perhaps the magical ring he recovered. Let's leave Shaem, the Mask, and the Citadel for when Dervish's test is complete.
You guys don't need to post your prepared spells, I'd keep it in your character sheet, or your combat spoiler when needed. Just make sure you know what they are! Whew Dervish... posting speech for another character. I think that's a bit too much. I think mentioning his impatience and even gestures a little bit is fine, but I don't think it's a good idea to speak for characters that you don't control What are your guys thoughts?
Howdy guys! It feels good to be posting again doesn't it? I talked with each of you about this I think: I'm going to try and spoiler less with regards to keeping character interactions separate. Private conversations and actions and such will be public. Only visions, dreams, Verndar, or other more unique experiences will be spoilered from each other. Of course we should avoid metagaming with this information in specific circumstances where it is relevant. Also I think there will be opportunities, like our current situation, where there are lots of dialogue options that are very relevant. Feel free to explore many simultaneously and don't worry about criss-crossing a bit temporally. I think we want to get as much info as we can without wasting a lot of posts. You guys can take some liberties about speaking with a specific character alone, or addressing all present, etc.
Auzuravax is a new name drop. Raziel saw much. This is an abridged version of what he shared. He saw Azithax ruling in the forest. He and a Samsaran together etched a symbol into the forest itself. The symbol opened up a doorway. The Samsaran left through this door, but creature of darkness slipped through it as well. Azithax and this creature fought to the death. The Dragon had an ancient soul, that was happy to embrace it’s rest in the afterlife. The dark creature raved and fought against its immortal destiny, cursing the land upon which it died. It’s blood seeped into the ground, and the forest drank of its essence. The new Nymph of the forest was born with that foul curse in her veins. He saw the 5 pieces of the creature. One remains where it died. One suffuses the forest. One wanders the forest by itself. One dwells in the lake of Mercia. One sits in Mercia itself.
Oh boy have we got some drama. I hope you don't mind being a bit patient for the current situation Nyrus. I anticipate we shall have to ask the dervish to be patient for other experiences for you as well, before the Enclave is over. Give me a call if you want to talk about the liberties I took with past lives Dervish.
