Well, we're leaving this room at least, since it seems fully explored. Pretty much the only thing to do would be for someone to try and operate the mirror. (Not a particularly Beltin thing to do, but maybe the noooome wants a go?)

We did pass by a wing of the complex, so we'll poke our head in there on the way out. And get as many slaves out as we can on the way out.

Did we miss something? Our goal was to get the spymaster and the mirror. The spymaster is gone, so we grab the mirror. The books and map are of course useful in lieu of the spymaster.

Beltin stops and knocks the side of his head with his fist for a few moments - he's suddenly developed a distinct, metallic ringing in his ears. He gets a sudden bolt of inspiration, and casts silence on a holy symbol of Idomedae, and then moves up close to Chau. He suddenly feels very peaceful.

Cast and move to AP14. Beware: silence 20' radius emanation, centered on Beltin's bottom right square.

Beltin casts lead blades before heading upstairs. He can't really make out what's going on, but he knows a fight when he lip reads one.

As hostilities rise he calls upon the blessing of the metal.

Beltin runs like a god! A god of thunder winding to and fro on the back of an endless, world spanning serpent as he seeks the head of the beast. And like lightning the light glints off the vast expanse of his shining armor as he moves across the room, blinding those foolish enough to stare directly at the prophet of metal. His yellow hair streams wildly and thrill of battle is in the deep, crystal-blue depths of his wild eyes. The sword in his hand eagerly sings its ringing song, and the words are those of whetting its perfectly sharp edge with wicked blood. Beware, scion of evil, the end days of battle and death have come early, and the form they have taken is... Beltin.

I'm confused. I think Truk was grappling the other gnoll, and that grapple damage was just applied to the gnoll I've been attacking. I think perhaps BR1 and BR2 should both still be up.

"Hey Khamul. Are we need right now? Or do we have time to gear up before we play?" Beltin asks. He swings his sword as he talks in a rather extravagantly lazy arc, as much to warm up his muscles as to study the shiny metal blade.

If there is time, he'll try to retrieve his armor and get a fellow captive to help him suit up. Otherwise, he'll happily cast shield of faith on himself and Truk before they seek out combat.

Beltin glance over at the commotion. "Eh? Whats going on? Does this mean it's time to play?" Beltin undoes the clever latches on his binding and extracts the cleverly hidden miniaturized sword within. He'll immediately speak the command word and proceed to cleave through the lock - the starmetal blade should easily cut through the lock.

He looks confused. "Uh, ok man. That seems pretty obvious." Beltin looks the overseer and the other three slaves over. "Hey friends, my name is Beltin. Kind of a bummer being poked and prodded by dog people; I feel you, folks. Listen, you wouldn't have happened to see a veiled lady-dude, or maybe a big, fancy mirror? We heard them when we learned about this place, and we were kind of curious."

Once he realizes someone is trying to speak to him he looks and smiles broadly. "Hey little one! Nice to meet you. I could ask you the same thing, little one, how did you get caught? You look too small and clever to let some dumb gnoll lay a hand upon you."

He grins. "Ain't no jail cell born that can hold a determined soul. I'll find my way out. I bet a pretty lady like you knows all sorts of secrets 'bout the folks who run this place."

Beltin diplomatically circumvents the questions, not wanting to blow his cover so soon.
