"and you call yourself a follower of erastil" mutters Erastil as Durn complains about not killing the last boar. As they ride foward through the plains Bellis thanks her horse for its courage following the battle, complimenting it on its bravery and detirmination. "I agree with lupus" claims Bellis after they approach the outskirts of the bandit camp. "Whilst it is not exactly honorable or right to attack without warning in the middle of the night, these bandits bandits have proven they deserve no mercy nor quarter. I say we bring them swift justice."

DM DK wrote: Wait Edric, there is already too much carnage and this is the bandits trail. I doubt if we will be ready to attack tonight now that some of us are hurt and we have spent some of our magical energy. I suggest finishing the last boar and then cleaning the site in case any bandits happen to come by on the way to the camp. We can camp off the trail a ways and possibly attack tomorrow morning? "No!" shouts Bellis visable anger etched upon her face "We have caused enough carnage to this family, let us leave at least one to look after the children" she says pointing at the piglets cowering in the undergrowth. "We can camp further down the line" and readies her horse to leave.

Bellis looks on in digust as her party members continue to slaughter the defenseless sleeping boars. Erastil, forgive me for associating with such scoundrels. As the last active boar drops, Bellis rears her horse up and gets ready to gallop off "Come on! lets get out of here before the others awaken! As she passes Vanion and Ellaria go to finish one of the sleeping boars off she turns and shouts "What in the 9 hells do you think your doing?!?"

Bellis has been keeping out of the whole situation and arguments, she finds this conflict needless and unneccessary but too gets extremely angry when Ellaria mentions the prospect of slavery. When Eadric and Ellaria finally reach a compromise Bellis cant help herself and shouts up at the sky "Finally!! Thankyou!!" as she lets out an exasperated sigh ;) I'm not sure whats happened here did we rest for the evening or not? is this the next day? The bandit says nay but he seems unsure and needless to say a bandits word is not to be trusted, im sure he's lying about something. "Whatever we do, if we stay in this land we will have to confront these bandits at some point. I say we move now whilst they are unaware of our presence." "Shall we put it to a vote?"

Bellis watches the ensueing action unfold as she breaths in the cold air, whispering a prayer to the wind. The scent of blood is strong, she hasnt smelt it in a long while, it brings up memories of child birth and screaming babes, she knows after this it will conjure up much darker memories. Watching durn and eadric argue over the what constitutes justice she feels the urge to start the bandits hanging now but keeps her mouth shut. She smiles at Olegs kick and shouts "Nice shot!" Sitting down on the table she starts to relax and smirks at Vanion's interigation technique. She is just about to lie down when she see's Eadric and Durn comparing wounds, "men..." she mutters and walks over to them, "are you two just going to stand there bleeding or should we do something about it?" she says smiling.

Sorry for the late post, busy day yesterday! Bellis watches with pride as the group easily disposes of the bandits, cutting them down in a hail of blood and steel. In the kitchen with Svetlana Svetlana wrote: So Bellis you are a priestess of Erastil? We pay him a little homage, but there is so little time around here. We know he appreciates our hard work more than any prayers we can offer. "Indeed he does. Hard work and practicality make better homage than prayers and abstract philosophy ever did! Why, even back in my own community it was always these that did the praying" she says holding up her rough worked hands "...but I always made sure to recite the dawn's break blessing as the sun rose. Even ol'deadeye has a little bit of ego" she says with a wink. At the dinner table Bellis devours her soup hungrily, delighting in the heat steaming off the soup and the soft bread melting in her mouth. Thanking Erastil in between mouthfuls she makes sure to finish every drop and crumb. Once finished she kicks back on her chair and listens intently to everything everyone has to say. Svetlana's story fills her with concern and anger at the way her and Oleg have been treated but she also begins to wonder why the bandits suddenly changed into murderous thieving thugs and whether this woman was the reason. Pondering this whilst the others discuss plans of ambush and retalliation, she snaps too as Eadric starts to get all fired up. Not again she thinks, catching Svetlana's eye she smiles and rolls her eyes. She lets Eadric finish his rant and listens to the others before responding, smiling at Obi's growing confidence. "Ever the soldier eh Eadric? she says with a smile "I have a few points though, first, while I know guarding Svetlana is important, why pick me?? I want to smite some bandits too! you'll have finshed them all off by the time i get there!" Laughing she continues, "secondly, I say let the b*stards hang..." her smile is gone only to be replaced by a stern frown and a solemn dark expression. "These vile thugs have terrorised the landscape long enough. Murder, violence, theft, why, you two are practically slaves to these villians! she says her voice rising. "Need I remind you all that penalty for bandit activity is "execution by sword or rope". We should let them all hang and as for a permenant garrisson, is that not us? We may not be soldiers or under orders but we are still here to cleanse this bandit menace as per our charter" She lets this last comment hang in the air...a solemn reminder to the groups duty.

Round 4 "Come on Eadric!" yells Bellis and casts her head to the sky. "Please..." She looks down at Eadric and stands to her feet before clasping her hands together in the symbol of stag horns. Thank the gods! mutters Bellis as the monster curls up in a flaming heap, only for a second monster to burst from the bushes behind her. "Will this nightmare never end?!" she says to herself as her eyes are drawn to Eadric. The vultures here are large and may still be able to get at the bodies." Bellis continues to stare at the bodies whilst she speaks to Eadric. She has seen death before many times, births dont always go well for the mother and her healing can't save everyone, but this is something completely different. She goes to examine the bodies but stops whilst Durn does his thing. Once he is finished she somehow manages to find the courage to move foward and examine the woman's body to try and discover how she died. Heal1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 She then mutters a small prayer to Erastil for courage before picking the body up and moving it to a clear area where they can make a pyre. "Anyone want to help?" she announces with a frown "the least we can do is give them a good sendoff"

Bellis sticks close to Durn throughout the trip looking closely whenever he prepares the animals to eat and watching his movements as he scouts the terrain. She does'nt broach the issue of hunting with him again, he seems to prefer doing it by himself. She wraps her cloak around her during the cold nights, thanking Erasil and her mother for the occasional warmth. Her magic comes in handy throughout the journey as she creates water when there is none and removes the other's tiredness and fatigue with her spells. When the party spies the vultures squabbling she immediatly thinks it would be just a dead animal but follows Durn quietly keeping her eyes pealed for danger. Leaving the tavern early in the night Bellis decided to head on home where she finds her brother, head in a pile of papers pouring over maps and documents, no doubt planning the next big mission for the liberation movement. She grabs and hugs him from behind, squeezing him with all the strength she can muster. He pushes her away for a moment then looks deep into her eyes and returns the hug in a silent embrace. A solitary tear rolls down Bellis' cheek as they say their goodbye in private and without a word. Bellis wakes in the morning and gathers her belongings including her trusty bow and staff but cant seem to find her cloak anywhere. Thinking she must have left it at Lord Duranos' she steps outside to find her mother holding the cloak along with about a dozen other halfling waiting behind her. Bewildered and confused Bellis steps out into the sun as her mother hands her the cloak, the new large embroidered symbol of a bow and arrow sewn onto the back. "A present" her mother says with a smile and embraces her, "Remember...wherever you are, your family will always be with you, that is Erastil's true strength" Bellis holds her mother out at arms length and blinks through the tears, mouthing the word "Thank you." She says her goodbyes to the rest of her extended family and friends and walks off at a fast pace towards the "Stern Dwarf". Getting there she finds Durn surveying the groups supplys, shaking his head. As her explains that they are woefully un-equipped to be travelling the wilderness she feels ashamed. "A cleric of erastil caught out by nature" she mumbles to herself "a fine start". She follows Durn around in silence buying anything she is told. Durn wrote: I'll also be scouting our front trail... on foot, looking at his loaded down horse.Checking to see if there is any game between here and there to supplement our stores. Because I don't know about you, but fresh meat roasted over open flame is far superior to dried trail rations. "I think we are all in your debt Durn" says Bellis looking round at the others for confirmation "I have a favour to ask...might I accompany you when you hunt sometime. Although Old Deadeye is my patron I know little of the hunt, I'm afraid I focussed all my time on healing and the family. Who would have thought, a cleric of Erastil who cant hunt." she says with a sheepish grin.

Bellis starts to feel the effects of the wine straight after the toast. Feeling kind of woozy she puts her half full glass back on the table and surveys the room. "Greetingsh!..Obi was it?" she says with a grin that spreads from ear to ear, walking past Lupus and right up to Obi "...and here I thought I knew ALL the halflings in Restov! Tell me who are you? where are you from?" She focuses all her attention on Obi, as the group leaves to go the tavern she will put an arm around him as they talk and walk towrads the tavern.

Bellis has been standing quietly seemingly unnoticed in the centre of the room sipping her wine. The stories of her other would be companions fascinate her, never mind striking out into the Stolen lands and forging a worthy kingdom! She would have undertaken this expedition just to find out more about these people! Especially Durn, who would have thought a man as quiet and solemn as he would have such a fascinating history! She had been sipping her wine faster and faster as the introductions went on. At the point when Eadric declared his oath her eyes began to swim and glaze. At first she thought it was the emotion and bravery of his statement but then she realised these are big wine glasses! and she can normally only drink a half! Is this another sign eh old deadeye? she mused as she smiled to herself very well, no more wine, I will keep my wits about me! Bellis slowly sets the glass down on the table and walks up to Eadric reaching almost to her tip-toes to slap him on back. "and I will aid you in this task Eadric! By Erastil's horns I too swear to carry out the duties presented to us!" she says flourishing the documents "With Cayden's sword and Erastil's bow we will forge a nation Restov and Brevoy will be proud of! One born of the virtues of good. One where the evil virtues of murder and slavery will never ever be tolerated! A fire seems to burn in her eyes at these comments and hands clench into tiny fists of fury.

"The pleasure's all mine Vanion!" says Bellis giving a short little bow. "Your uncle must be confident in your abilities indeed to entrust this task to you. I'm sure we'll all make excellent companions!" Bellis looks around the room gazing at each individual in the room, her eyes expressing full confidence at all of their abilities.
