Going to Hell by The Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen) She's a Dramatic Mezzosoprano, which is what I see Belladonna as.

Hmm yeah I am not sure what else to buy with that money for now, but I'll see what I can do. At level 5 I was thinking of taking the feat Inscribe Magical Tattoos just cause I love tattoos (and that's the main reason why she is a tattoo artist, mechanically... in anticipation of that feat :)

Oh, my bad. Yeah, the War Drummer looks better than a standard skald, but the Belkzen flavor could be detriment for some concepts. Well, sort of. Could always be a half-orc if not an orc. Who says the drummer has to be pretty? ~_^
I'd describe Sound Striker as more similar to, say, a blaster sorcerer. But it's not bad for a short-range attacker, especially because of its ability to destroy objects—while also working as a decent arcane. Well, yeah Sound striker is what I am, but I was talking about the Belkzen War Drummer. You carry around a large drum and a huge warhammer that you use to beat the drum. SO you basically have this two-handed warhammer that you fight with. Check it out... If *I* were the drummer it's totally what I would do haha.
and yeah my suggestion was to the GM/Drummer... Since he wanted a strong fighter type, but that archetype kinda is that, yet it's still a bard. :D Plus the high level build up a crescendo of drumming then shatter things with a 20d6 sonic effect? That's amazing.
Still here, and Belladonna's secondary perform is dance, since that does kinda go with operas (and even modern day music too... Taylor Swift it pretty much the only pop star I can think of that can't dance lol)
Oh this campaign would be great for this character! She's an Aasimar (Musetouched) opera singer, but some of my favorite rock bands are fronted by operatic style singers... Evanescence and Nightwish just to name two. However, thunderbeard did beat me to the suggestion of singer, so if he wants it, he was first. Also, for the drummer... What about a Belkzen War Drummer?

She nods, then sits down beside the tiefling. She doesn't seem to even bat an eye at his apparent 'evil' look. "I could tell you many tales, though you would not want to hear them, nor would I want to be the one to tell them. But, I hope to learn new tales." she says.
Belladonna flips a silver into Kalem's empty glass.
"I didn't mean I intend to die, just that if I were afraid of death I never would have left home." She pauses for a second, then continues "I still wonder how I even managed to leave without getting stabbed in the back..."
Mostly just listening, Belladonna finally speaks up. "If you aren't willing to die for what you believe in, are you really even alive?"
Belladonna (if only we could have custom avatars) is a beautiful, slight (only 4' 7") young elven woman with lavender-lilac hair dressed as a entertainer/dancer. She enters, but stands off to the side of the room, watching the crowd with her head downcast a bit. It seems she is trying to stay out of the brighter light, yet also out of the darker corners of the room.

Okay, talked with the GM and my concept is a bit unorthodox, but he's said he'll give it equal treatment, so I submit this as my background. I decided I would go ahead and tell you all her big secret, however please keep it as player, not character for the time being. :) Background and Concept: Born in Sekhamina, Tamsin Vai was always strange. A pale almost white skinned drow? Her parents had heard rumors of throwbacks, but never seen one. Growing up they mostly tried to keep her out of sight, more in shame than fear others might think her an actual surface elf and kill her.
She spent most of her time alone, singing to pass the time. Her only company was her twin (not albino) brother, who didn't visit her as much as she would have liked. Her talked to her about the demons that drow worship, but she never really paid much attention... it just... didn't feel right to her. When she came of age, her brother and she agreed that she didn't belong with the drow. With his help, she arranged to accompany a small raiding party to the surface. Separating from the raiding party as soon as they emerged, she (not wanting anyone to link her name to her drow family, she chose the pseudonym Belladonna Nightshade.) located the nearest city and spent her first night in a temple of Shelyn. Even after just one night in the temple, she realized that as the patron of artists, Shelyn was what she'd been missing all those years in the Underdark. few months singing for her meals before her voice was noticed by a member of the Kintargo Opera house. Her elven beauty and her voice made her perfect for a part in the infamous opera, Huntress of Heroes! However, the recent declaration of martial law has ended all operas for the current and forseeable future, so Belladonna will do anything she has to to get back on the stage. Class she's a bard (arcane healer/sound striker). I'd like to take the drow noble feat chain, but of course won't if the GM doesn't want me to. I'm also looking at Eldritch Heritage (Maestro). Her campaign trait is Diva in Training (incorporated above) and her other trait (no drawback) is Irrepressible, she can use her Charisma in place of Wisdom on charm and enchantment saves. As far as personality and such goes, she's not very strong (Str 8) so she won't be in melee, but as a bard she can provide support and backup healing as an arcane healer. Then, in the particularly difficult fights, she'll be able to shatter ear drums with her high notes (sound striker :) ) Her Sheet is done, so I will go ahead and enter it on my profile. I am putting "Drow Nobility" as her first feat, but if I am accepted but the GM would prefer I stay away from that feat chain, then I will switch i then. Her "Reason to Protest" is Catching a Glimpse of her Idol, Strea Vestori. Being a tiefling, Strea has obvious reason for people to hate her on sight, but she's managed to still become famous enough that the people of Kintargo trust her. While Belladonna does not LOOK like a drow, if people found out the truth... but Strea gives her hope.
As for those trying to download the Player's Guide, yeah it's tough. Basically give it 5min before you try again, then if it doesn't give it to you, try another 5min. I've managed to download like 7 books in the past 24 hours, you just gotta give the system time.

Or frankly, just be a Bard. Bardic Magic is technically arcane, but does that really matter? They wear armor, they have cure spells, and per Inner Sea Gods, several faiths have bards as official clergy and they can gain spells that are otherwise divine based on deity. Yup, and you can even take the Arcane Healer archetype and channel energy same as a cleric (one level lower.) While it may say... Though bards may have different reasons for wanting to heal the sick and injured, both out of pure altruism and in order to keep adventuring companions safe, the ability to heal also makes it much easier for a bard to pose as a cleric or other divine healer, opening the door for a wide array of swindles and scams. that doesn't mean you have to be a swindler. In fact, a bard cleric of sorts is what this character is. she's an Arcane Healer/Sound Striker and worships Shelyn and Dou-Bral (she has the trait "Abject Belief" and she hopes someday to help Shelyn get her brother back.) |
