Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Well, Beatrix is dead. There will be no revival after that smash (it put her at -21 hp). Sorry about leading us this direction - I think we could've handled it but the dice were against us.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"Morthos!" Bea lets out a fierce cry as she brings her sword around with all her strength on the creature that felled her companion.

power attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 3) + 9 = 16

If it should fall before my initiative is up switch my target to the other.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Seeing the foul creature strike Morthos, Beatrix steps up to enact retribution, but fails to connect her sword with it.

power attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 5) + 9 = 18

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

gated spoilers are a great way to do it. The other really good option is to just roll the checks for us and put what specific people know behind a spoiler, but that requires keeping track of everyone's skills on a spreadsheet or something. That's my method of choice on other websites where you can actually designate text that only certain players can see, but here on Paizo either one is fine.

I'll post my actual action after the ??? take their turn.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Trying her best to appear confident, Bea holds her sword at the ready and steps into the room, looking around for danger.

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"We have nothing to fear from bones and rotting flesh. If they rise, we will put them down again."

Wow that sounded cocky...

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"Well done, boy. Hand it over, let's see what you've got." Bea makes no movement to approach him, expecting he'll hand it over to someone else who actually cares about it.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"Well, to your feet, boy. Who are you?"

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Ok, I guess I'm taking the cloak. I'll take one oil and give the other to Morthos. I'll also take the CMW potion and leave the arrows for Morthos, unless he wants to split them with me.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"I wouldn't mind either the cloak or the oil. I'm...not sure how I feel about being a giant though. Anyways, while I certainly know how to use a bow, I prefer my sword, so if someone wants the arrows they're welcome to them."

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

The dice gods are being good to me to make up for such crappy rolls at the beginning ;)

attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 29
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 1) + 9 = 13

Smiling in satisfaction as her previous swing landed solidly, she shifts her position to bring her full strength again on the snake. "Let's end this!"

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Stepping cautiously and giving it a wide birth, Bea approaches the final snake and swings powerfully at it.

I should be able to get around in a position to flank and avoid the AoO. Power attack on remaining snake.

attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 5) + 9 = 17

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"Ha! That's more like it."

Feeling more confident, Bea turns and swings at another snake.

attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 = 25
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 4) + 9 = 14

Power attack vs F27

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"Gorum's balls, hold still!" In anger, Bea brings her sword around once more, solidly connecting with the snake in front of her. She allows a look of satisfaction to spread across her face with the well placed hit.

Finally, a decent roll! Power attack vs G27:
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
confirm crit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 6) + 9 = 20

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Round 2

attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 6) + 9 = 16

Beatrix brings her sword around again but is unable to get a clear swing in the cramped quarters.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Beatrix brings her greatsword around and smashes down at the snake in front of her with all her might.

Power Attack
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 3) + 9 = 16

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

I was behind Alazandaru, and I believe you can't charge through a friendly unit. I'm fine leaving it as is.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Only a move or standard action for the surprise round right?

Beatrix moves to engage the snakes, drawing her sword as she goes.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Looking back and forth at the two doors, Beatrix nods in agreement. "Door on the right then." She steps forward and works to open the door.

Hope it wasn't trapped...

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Feeling a sudden warmth through her body as the pain's relieved, Bea turns surprised to see Bostarg has touched her. "Uh, thank you," she says, blinking in confusion at the gnome. That must have been magical healing - what a strange sensation. As Tatya casts about her lights, Beatrix peers down into the holes to see if she can make out any further detail.

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

DM, please roll for me - super busy today won't have a chance to post.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Moved within range of mist to use my previously redied attack.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Beatrix blinks, looking around cautiously. "Where'd it go..."

ready attack vs mist
attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 6 - 4 + 2 = 20
damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 +1 flame

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 - 4 + 2 = 14
damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 +1 flame

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"It's working! Burn it more!"

attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 6 - 4 = 5
damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 +1 fire

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Bea coughs as the pain courses through her body. In a pained voice, she calls out "What was that?" She grips her torch, her eyes darting from left to right looking for it to appear again.

Ready attack using torch
attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 6 - 4 = 22
confirm crit: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 6 - 4 = 12
damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 +1 fire dmg

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Sheathing her sword and putting away the lantern, Bea grabs a torch and steps into the room.

Man, you guys are great with your posting frequency. I'm used to almost single-handedly having to keep games alive - instead here I'm playing catch-up most of the time.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Beatrix peers into the room and lights her lantern, trying to penetrate the darkness.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Beatrix grips her sword tightly as she looks to each side. [b]"Do we take the obvious path or turn to one side?"[b]

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Beatrix takes another sip of wine, now feeling slightly alone on her side of the table. "Indeed...I'm sure they can be useful in their own way though."

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Beatrix smiles as Alexandaru speaks. Finally, some reason instead of this religious fanaticism. "You're right, we certainly can't just waltz into town square, declare ourselves rulers, and single-handledly put down the entire army and militia - even with strength, we must be cautious, and we must have a plan. I too am also interested in how we will begin."

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Bea sighs and rolls her eyes slightly. "Religious bickering matters little in the end - it's strength that will decide the victor. As we've already seen, the fools running this country are weak."

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Ok, finally got all leveled up - hopefully correctly. I sold my chain shirt and old greatsword for new armor and sword. Taking out the share for a wand of clw, that leaves me with 423 GP.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Seeing others begin to take their seats, Beatrix finds her name at her place and sits as well. As conversation continues, she finds herself more at ease until she finds herself the focus of one of the twins' affection. She laughs delightfully at the compliment. "Well, perhaps I did kill someone," she responds playfully, "but what does it matter? I'm here now." Turning to the new arrivals, she sizes up the girl's slight frame, deciding her diminutive stature and presence didn't demand her attention, and smiles back at Elise. "It really wasn't much. Tiadora provided opportunity and we simply made use of it."

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Sorry! For some reason it wasn't showing that there were new posts in this thread. Of course I'd be delighted to join a dinner party!

Beatrix arrives in a gown that drapes across her body, its plunging neckline revealing womanly curves that had previously not been so apparent in the warrior. Though she looks the model of refinement, her movements betray a certain uneasiness in the finery. She stands in the room awkwardly for a moment, unsure of what to do next.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

This week has been super hectic at work - both my boss and coworker are out so I've been pretty much holding down the fort by myself - which means I haven't really had time to work on my character at all. Please bear with me and I'll try and get it finished quickly.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Normally I'd be plenty happy with 4, but currently we are rather heavy on the melee and lacking in the casting department. I still wouldn't mind looking for a divine spellcaster of some sort to help round us out.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

...add me to the list of people who's tempted to leave because I'm sick of bickering over loot. Seriously, grow up.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Bea looks over the contract briefly, shrugs, and takes the quill. Pricking her finger and drawing a drop of blood, she adds the date and her name, Beatrix, in a flowing crimson script.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Bea looks at the proceedings with interest and slight amusement. Do these fools really believe this dribble? Well, religious fanatics or not, they were helpful in getting me freed and certainly look like they'll be...useful. I suppose I'll play along...

Bowing deeply before the Cardinal, she begins, "I hereby give my sword and my abilities to you and Asmodeus, that the Iomedaens may fall for our glorious rise."

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Ok let's try this again:

hp: 1d5 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Beatrix is somewhat bewildered by all the fuss made about her, but allows the servants to tend to her and finds herself relishing the feeling of being clean for the first time in...an amazingly long time. Bathed and dressed, she emerges completely transformed, a vision of girlish beauty from one who previously barely registered as being a woman.

I might need to find a new avatar picture now that I'm all prettied up.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

hp: 1d10 ⇒ 2

ouch. I don't suppose you allow for rerolls on super low hp rolls? Or are we doing average hp?

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Seeing her companion nearly swallowed whole by the beast, Beatrix steels her nerve and takes another swing, but her footing is uneven in the swamp and it goes wide once more.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Sorry guys - I should have given you a heads up but I'm on the road most of this weekend with limited access to internet. Feel free to DMPC me as necessary.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Glad to have the prison walls behind her, Bea casts her eyes around warily lest they have to return.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 - perception

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

appraise isn't a strong suit but I'll take a look at them

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

Seeing Blackerly drop finally, Beatrix casts her eyes on Morthos, lying unconscious on the ground. "How is he, Alazandaru? Can anyone help tend to him? I'm no medic.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

With the last dog out of the way, Bea runs down the stairs and after Blackerly.

Not sure exactly how much movement is needed for the stairs so if you could just double move me in his direction.

Female Human Fighter (Two-Handed) 1

"Don't let him get away!" Bea calls down the stairs as she swings again at the dog.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15
