Baru looks quietly leans against a tree checking to see if anything else is around. Seeing nothing new however, he turns his attention to the argument at hand. Garret, I think you've demonstrated your a worth while ally, but I feel most everyone here has done the same. Talking down to people, however you may feel, only results in resentment for both parties. Baru cracks his knuckles and smiles. It has its uses at times, but this is not one of them.

Baru turns and swings hard into the centipede that tried to bite him (A2). Filthy little mongrel! he spits as he swings.

Baru keeps pace with the dog and Odd'n. Baru whispers to Odd'n That particular animal is braver than most. I suspect its tooth and claw are equally impressive. Hearing Bronan's comments about surprise, Baru scans the area, taking care to slow is movements as he makes his way to the horse's cries.
Baru looks and Odd'n and answers his question matter-of-factly, All the whispering, glaring, pointing and judging makes them no better than whoever or whatever it is they're gossiping about. Baru lopes ahead, looking back at the others on occasion. Remembering the warning mayor's of bandits and the like, Baru keeps an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. After awhile however, Baru moves back closer to the group.

Baru chuckles quietly at Bronan's question but perks his ears at the whispered conversation and its participants: a dichotomy of humanity, a burly man and dainty woman.

Baru eyes the aasimar almost amused with his statement Hehe, didn't expect high and mighty angels to fall prey to human sensuality. Not much to tell. I'm a sellsword by trade. Baru leans back in a motion of relaxation but keeps himself tense, almost as if he doesn't trust his surroundings. A dirty chalkboard catches his eye and he glances it over.
Waiting for Bronan to respond, Baru takes a seat and leans back expectantly at one of the tables.
Baru looks the painting over briefly and turns away from it trying to hold his composure. I hate boats. He responds with an attempt at disdain for them, but anyone can see from his face a look of queasiness as if the thought of traveling by boat made him sea sick. Give me solid ground any day. Then looking at Bronan. So what's your story? You seem awfully chipper for a warrior.
Baru takes note of the woman's words but keeps his gaze toward the main hall. His voice, although not unkind clearly denotes disinterest in the woman. The mayor sent for me. Baru sticks his thumb over his large shoulder pointing to the man and his dog. Sent for him to apparently. Where can we find the man?

No, I'm ok, I just think there is enough of a dis-synch in our current times that some people are waiting on others. Our summoner is a few hours ahead of Bronnan and I and We are a few ahead of everyone else so even though we are at the mayors office, I think we have delayed to let the others work on soaking the time to get to the office.
As the sign dispels Baru's worry, he steps forward with confidence and pushes open the doors to the city hall and begins his search for the mayor or at least his office.
frustrated at his own confusion of the buildings, Baru follows Bronan to the building he believes to be the city hall.
Baru and Bronan continue toward the library. Despite Bronan's animated speaking, Baru's comments are short and to the point.
Baru quietly exhales, resigning himself to the fact that he's probably going to have to get along with the perky guy and his dog. Yes, it is odd. He continues his walk away from the guards and toward the mayors office. Makes you wonder how they acquired the armor. Did they steal it or did they buy retired equipment? in either case, its lacking in quality.
Baru looks the man up and down one more time before shaking Bronan's hand. Baru. He grunts as steps toward the mayors building. And yes, I suppose it is a small world. Perhaps that's why the gods created other planes. Baru trails off muttering almost to himself To small of a world for comfort.
Baru flinches slightly at the dogs attitude but quickly regains his somber demeanor. Your animal has spunk. I may not be the 'devil incarnate' as you put it, but I can understand why the little guy would be afraid. Baru looks around at the different buildings trying to figure out which one to go to. After giving it some thought, Baru turns toward the man. You wouldn't know which one of these buildings the mayor is in would you?
Unable to find what he was looking for, Baru grumbles to himself as he heads to the building of old stone and new wood. Hope this is the place. If not, at least it might have a little history to it.

Baru shrugs to the man. I'm familiar enough with the area to find my way. Thank you for your help. With that, Baru turns and begins to lazily saunter through the crowded streets purposely walking against the flow of people. Though his route is indirect, Baru makes his way in a general fasion toward the city library. Its on the way and who knows, they may have some books of value to me.
Not sure if I like his tone, but this nagaji seems to know a wher the deeper pockets are. Baru claps the guard on the shoulder, holding his smirk, See, that wasn't so hard now as it. He then turns to the nagaji, walking towards him as he attempts to add sincerity to his voice. I'm afraid I'm one of a kind. The mayor though, I assume he is well financed? Where might I find him? If the mayor is in need of a hired blade, I can only assume its illegal or sensitive, or both. Any way you look at it though, it makes for a hefty gain on my part.
Yup, its a big weapon. Just a heads up, if Baru comes across overly douchey and bothers you let me know and I can tone it down. I like the idea of playing him so headstrong, but I personally don't want to rub anyone the wrong way.
Baru's forced smile curls into a cruel and almost evil smirk as he walks closer to the poor guard, I'll give you Three reasons. One, my lineage hails from the Asura not some common Demon. Two, I take my job seriously and can actually get it done. As he finally approaches the guard, Baru takes a step forward into the man's personal space. And three,because unlike you, I at least have tried to be civil. Now, I'll ask again. Would you tell me of anyone needing a sell-sword? Intimidate: ugh, I hate humans sometimes.
Baru lazily walks through the streets of the lower city looking around at the different shops and keepers looking their guards up and down. I could take them. Perception: After looking them over Baru put on his kindest nicest face, which isn't saying much, and walks up to a guard clearly not of Chelaxian descent Pardon, you wouldn't happen to know of anyone in need of a sell-sword?
