Baldwin shimmies down the rope to the garden and hears the tiger interrogating those standing in the garden...

I’ll leave the talking to our saviors, beast...

He looks to Altin and Mwikali...

As he is freed, this Englishman shakes the adventurers’ hands firmly and smiles gratefully.

By the Lance of Saint George! I’m freed by good fellow Christians and Europeans! Praise be to God! I am Baldwin of Folkestone, blacksmith by trade... I am in your debt!

One slave gladiator is a middle aged Englishman, wearing leather cuirass and armed with war hammer and steel shield bearing a sea drake rampant...

Nacht eyes his prey, the beating of its breath, the ragged way in which he frantically attempted to recall information. He had given the being a chance.. for he was not sure.. but now.. NOW it was clear. Keenstar reached around the being's neck and was drawn slowly while a chitinous hand covered his mouth once more.

" Die Katze wurde zu neugierig "

He said as the blade cut deep.

UURRKK!!!!*gurgle-gurgle*

Baldwin falls limp as his heart beats his life's blood out in spurts all over the parchment drawings of The Lusty Fools....

Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht* wrote:

Nacht watches and watches.. until his prey is distracted until finally coming through the opening.. gliding closer and closer. Until he was right over the man.

Assuming there is space through the opening he would be behind him once more looking at what he may be writing/drawing

He has made some notes in English, and attempted to draw from memory a picture of Nacht!

Craft (drawing) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

It is not as good as the first drawing he made, while observing Nacht, and he seems to draw with a trembling hand, as if nervous....

He proceeds to draw sketches from memory of each of the other Lusty Fools, all poorly rendered as compared to the caricatures Nacht confiscated earlier....

Nacht sees that Baldwin must live alone.... Or at least, he's the only one home at the moment....

Baldwin does not expect Nacht to be watching him from his fireplace, so he does not notice Nacht for a long while....

His attention is drawn to the windows, and he frequently peers outside for some time before sitting down at a table where a stack of parchment pages, an inkwell, and a quill lay.... He picks up the quill, dips it in the inkwell, and begins scribing notes, or possibly drawing.... Or both....

After a while, he might notice Nacht hanging upside down in his fireplace.... Perception vs a new Stealth check from Nacht....1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht* wrote:

Thank you.. Nacht would follow the same method of Blend spell + Scorpion or Spider Stealth... If the outside environment counts as a Plains or Forest (Unlikely) Terrain Add +2

Nacht stalks his prey

[dice=Stealth]1d20+14

Baldwin notices Nacht stalking him, and quickens his pace to his house....

When he gets home, he bars his door and peers nervously out the window to see if Nacht is outside his house....

Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht* wrote:
Nacht would pursue him and watch to see if he does anything else. If after 12 Am he does nothing.. then he goes back

Baldwin does not leave his home, but does look over his shoulder more than once on his way home from the feast....

Perception check to notice Nacht following him home....1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 vs Nacht's Stealth check....

I do not know, m'lord.... I meant know offense.... I only wanted to have a drawing of them as slayed Brinegullet, m'lord.... A momento, as it were.... I know not why he acted so....violently against me, m'lord.... Mayhap he be a criminal, wanted for some crime, m'lord?....

Bluff to plant the idea that Nacht might be a wanted criminal on the run in the Baron's mind....1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

I beg your pardon, m'lord.... My drawings of the heroes.... Who slayed the sea dragon....

"Are you all right?"

Baldwin comes back to consciousness with a start, and quickly gets to his feet....

Yes, but.... What happened!? Someone accosted me?....

He gathers his wits and searches around for his drawings....

Where did my drawings go!?

Nacht's eyes narrowed as the hooded figure tilted his head.

He continues to go through the mans belongings almost ignoring the threat.

Nacht finds a purse of copper pences on the man's belt, a dagger, and the garb of a fisherman, plus the parchment with the drawings and a few pieces of coal for drawing.

Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht* wrote:

I guess this happens before he tries to get out as that was a surprise round

Nacht grips the man tight and pins him to the ground

[dice=CMB]1d20+11

Nacht then squeezes tight trying to silence him

[dice=CMB]1d20+11; 1d3+3 Non-lethal

The man's eyes roll back in his head as Nacht applies a neck lock that chokes him unconscious!

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

The artist vocalizes loudly in protest, though he can get no discernible words out with Nacht covering his mouth!

He attempts to escape from Nacht.... Opposed grapple 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 fails.... but his feeble struggles are useless in The Beetle Man's iron grip!

Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht* wrote:

Does he have one of Nacht? What does it say if he has one?

Nacht watches curiously not sure why this being was trying to do such an act seretly.. unless he meant ill.

Vs Bluff check to appear to be a casual local artist interested in drawing the heroes who slew Brinegullet 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

There is indeed a sketch of Nacht that is fairly accurate, showing his superficial clothing and noting the colors....

Hoenheim Dobberkau *Nacht* wrote:

Nacht moves up behind the being his chitin camouflaged completely to the environment and looks at what he is doing directly. If it is in a language other than what he knows he tries to decipher it.

It appears he is trying to make accurate sketches of each of The Lusty Fools, along with brief descriptions in English....

Those who succeed on the DC 15 Perception check notice a man at the feast drawing sketches of each of The Lusty Fools and making descriptive notes under the drawings, using leaves of parchment and a small piece of coal.... It appears that he is trying to be somewhat discreet about it....
